Exodus: Gods and Kings

Was somewhat exited for it beforehand, came out of the theater completely disappointed. The actors are fine, sure the leads are white but who cares, the actual movie felt drawn out and boring. Pacing was off, dialogue was boring, visuals were spectacular.

Ridley Scott you disappoint me once again.

Yesterday, I watched Jersey Boys.  I know a few people said they didn't like, but personally, I loved it.  I always had a taste, love & respect for classical music especially when it comes to Frank Valli & the Four Seasons.  I loved the acting, story telling, & the music.  Overall: I give this movie 9/10

If you havent seen Kingsman: The Secret Service my god go pick this up on Blu Ray when it ever it comes out its amazing Matthew Vaughn has another Hit

The Church scene alone is both amazing and fucked up at the same time, Killing people with Free Bird in the back ground all i can say , Sam Jackson is a awesome villain and his henchwoman is badass, Taron Edgerton is gonna be someone one day, and Collin Firth

Clown is a pretty great film that just uses a clownsuit and over time it becomes something more. The main who is the clown slowly progresses into madness overtime and pushing those he loves away, while turning into a monster hmself, just a pretty creepy and just good film overall.

Being the AVP nerd that I am, I watched Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem again just recently. Oh boy, plenty to say about this movie.

Story: Directly following the events of AVP, we begin the movie in the Predator spacecraft leaving Earth. The deceased Predator (Scar) is the host of a chestburster that does the unpredictable: it bursts out of the Predator's chest! It manages to grow into a Predalien and kills all of the Predators on the spacecraft, which crashlands into a small town in Colorado, the setting for this movie. A distress call from the spacecraft was received by a veteran Predator warrior known as the Wolf Predator. So this lone Predator makes the trip to Earth to find and clear the Aliens before an infestation spreads. So we cut to our teenage protagonist who falls for this girl... yeah, a good deal of this movie is spent developing "romantic feelings" between this boy and the girl he fantasises about. But keeping in mind that this is Aliens vs. Predator, we will get to see (ha!) some extraterrestrial action! After some facehuggers (the first stage of an Alien's life) from the Predator's ship make quick work of some humans that went out to hunt, the Alien breeding and infestation begins. So we switch back to the Predator who hunts for the Predalien. The Predalien, in the meanwhile, seems to be the leader and takes the lead in spreading the Alien infestation by impregnating humans with chestbursters. While our human protagonist and his romantic interest finally get some alone time, the girl's boyfriend (perhaps I didn't mention that she already has the stereotypical jock/jerk boyfriend) catches them and they get into a confrontation. But thank goodness, the Aliens show up and begin to eat everyone alive! Of course, our human protagonist and the girl escape. Meanwhile, in a poor attempt to remain inconspicuous, the Predator tracks the Aliens to a power plant and begins blasting the Plasmacaster (facepalm)! It looks dire for the humans: power is out and the Alien infestation has grown tremendously in a matter of mere hours. The law enforcement in the town has to rely on the government to take care of things. What is recommended is an evacuation due to plans of nuking the town to prevent the Alien infestation from spreading any further. But while that is going on, we have the Wolf Predator have a confrontation with the Predalien... at last! So they have their showdown... and both end up mortally wounding each other. But let's cut back to the humans! The government decides to nuke the town since the Alien infestation has gotten completely out of hand. Everyone who didn't escape dies (obviously) along with the Predator and the Predalien.

Storywise, I would have to give it a 4/10. At this point, I would expect nothing more than sci-fi action between Aliens and Predators with little story development beyond the fighting, but it seemed that I was watching a teenage drama for more than half of the movie. Oh, but this is AVP, let's just slap the Predator and the Alien in there! Now it's AVP! Bleh...

Visuals: Have you ever wanted to see what a Predalien, an Alien that takes on the characteristics of a Predator, looks like? Did you ever want to see an epic Predator and Predalien showdown? Well, even the most trained of eyes will have a hard time making anything out in this movie. This movie was literally shot in the dark. I had to squint to try and see anything. Even then, I could hardly see anything! Perhaps one of the most awaited moments, the Predalien vs. the Predator, was ruined by the poor excuse of lighting. The fight could not be seen very well, the Predator unmasking could not be seen, and the Predalien was barely distinguishable. My question is: what happened post-production?! The scenes were very clear when they were being recorded, so what in the world did they do?! Was it to add to the "horror" effect? The only thing that brings horror is the poor lighting.

1/10.

I could go on, but I think I have said enough regarding this movie. It makes its predecessor look like an Oscar winner, and that's saying something! While the first one wasn't the best either, at least the action could be seen. And here's a thing: it focused more on sci-fi action rather than a boring and predictable teenage drama. If you are into Aliens and Predators, stay well away from this movie.

Overall rating: 3/10

I recently watched the animated film Batman vs Robin.

IMO, OUTSTANDING FILM.  Jason O'Mara continues to do well as Batman.  David McCallum was awesome as Alfred.  Jeremy Sisto was badass as Talon.  And last but least, it was fucking awesome to hear the GREAT Kevin Conroy voice Thomas Wayne.  The overall voice acting was really good.  The action scenes were awesome.  The story telling was well done.

Overall: I give this film a 10/10

I have just finished watching Green Lantern: First Flight and Green Lantern Emerald Knights

GREAT FILMS!!! Loved the voice acting, animation, story telling, action scenes, and the usage of dark and adult tones.

Pus, I have finally watched the whole thing of Justice League: New Frontier.  Another awesome film.  Brings back the glory days of the Silver Age of Comics.  The animation was spectacular, voice acting was superb, story telling was awesome, & action scenes were mind blowing.  These three films have showcased why I am a huge fan of superheroes.

FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY!!!  I have watched X-Men: Days of Future Past.  GREAT FILM!!!  The overall acting, writing, action scenes, dark and adult tones, & special effects were awesome!!!  My stance on Hugh Jackman as Wolverine still stands; HE IS AWESOME!!!  Like always, Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen were perfect as Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto.  Peter Dinklage really took my breath away as Bolivar Trask.  I loved how they explained why Wolverine was being sent through time.  A lot of it had to do with his borderline god-like healing factor.  If they just went with it because of his massive popularity, that would not be very good writing.  The one thing I liked the best in this film was the Sentinels.  Their appearance in this film looked really badass.  The film did a flawless job in showcasing them not only as an imposing threat, but also as a borderline unstoppable force.  My favorite scene was Magneto lifting up the entire Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium and encasing President Nixon and his entire administration.  However, the one thing I did not like was that they did not really explain how Kitty Pryde gained the ability to send people through time.  Other than that, I really loved this film.

Overall score: 9.5/10

I have just finished Captain America: The Winter Soldier. AWESOME FILM!!!  The overall acting, writing, action scenes, & special effects were phenomenal.  Scarlett Johansson is just badass and sexy as Black Widow.  Samuel L. Jackson is just perfect as Nick Fury.  And of course, Chris Evans IMO continues to shine as the original sentinel of liberty, Steve Rogers.  From my lengthy experiences with the character, he is in many ways like Superman, an individual who strongly believes in hope, faith, optimism, & patriotism.  A type of person the world needs NO MATTER WHAT!!!  Cap may not have the best abilities nor weapons, but he gets the job done.  What separates him from all the other heroes in the Marvel Universe is his immense indomitable will and determination.  These characteristics/abilities may not be the best, but their better than the alternative.  Yes, Captain America is a very old character, aging around 74 years, but has been able to stand the test of time.  The two films have done a great job in modernizing the character without actually changing him.  Unfortunately, we starting to live a world where people have no regard for people who have "Boy Scout" mentalities and are old fashioned.  You can say people have no respect for their elders.  Anyway, I have absolutely no negatives about this film.

Overall score: 10/10
