The Martian Review

The Good
First lets talk about the direction, The Martian is directed amazingly from Ridley Scott just the direction of his characters and shots and tension.

Cast Away + Apollo 13 = The Martian

It does not fuck around it gets you into the meat of things fast

Matt Damon is Fan Freaking Tastic this is one of his best performances in a Long Time.

The Supporting cast also give amazing performances from Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Pena, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Chiwetel Ejiofer (always amazing), and Donald Glover.

Awesome Adapted Script from Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods, World War Z and Daredevil Netflix)

This movie is also really funny there were some parts i was really dying of laughter. This movie could of been depressing, but its not thanks to the Director, Script and the amazing Cast.

The Visuals were amazing

I felt like this was almost a true story at times lol that this could actually happen one day in life.

Bad
NOTHING

Overall: I love this movie its good to see Ridley Scott make another amazing movie after the 2 crap bombs he made in the past 2 years (The Counselor and Exodus), This is up there with Alien my favorite Scott Movie and Up there with Matt Damon with The Bourne Trilogy and A Good Will Hunting.

This should also be considered for a bunch of Oscar Nominations
-Best Picture
-Best Director
-Best Lead Actor for Matt Damon
-Best Supporting Actor for Jeff Daniels
-Best Adapted Screenplay
-Best Visual Effects

This my favorite of the year so far

Overall Grade: A+

I have just finished watching Donnie Brasco.  FANTASTIC MOVIE!!!  The writing, acting, story telling, cast of characters, dark and adult tones were fantastic.  Al Pacino and Johnny Depp were the stars of the film without question.

Overall score: 10/10

Donnie Brasco is in my top 10. Did you watch the extended version? Depp in Black Mass is just as good if not better.

I finished watching Get On Up which tells the story of James Brown.  Awesome film.  The writing, cast of characters, story, characterization, character development, music, dancing, and the acting was marvelous.  Man, from watching this film, I saw a great talent being unable to control himself.

Overall score: 9/10

Finished watching Traffic.  Awesome film.  The writing, acting, story, cast of characters were great.  It takes the concept of the war of drugs and tells is from three different perspectives.  One from a conservative judge, one from DEA agents and the wife of a drug lord, and the other is from a Mexican cop.  The one I liked the most was the story from the conservative judge.  The story was very emotional and Michael Douglas (who is liberal) does a great job in understanding and portraying a conservative.

Overall score: 9.5/10

Yesterday, I finally watched the Peanuts film.  All I can say is, it's great to see good ol' Charlie Brown again.  The film stayed true to the entire Peanuts franchise.  Animation, story, cast of characters, voice acting, humor and more importantly the character development was awesome.

Overall score: 10/10

Plus, it was awesome seeing Charlie Brown finally talking to the little Red-Haired Girl.

I just finished watching Batman Bad Blood.  Outstanding movie.  Animation, voice acting, action scenes, cast of characters, and the story were superb.  It was really cool to see Dick Grayson take the mantle of Batman for a while.  In this film, I saw the emergence of the Batman family.  Luke Fox, the son of Lucius Fox, becoming Batwing, and Katherine Kane aka Batwoman making an appearance.  Every member shined in this film, including Alfred.  It is about time he got involved with some ass whooping.

Score: 9.5/10:wub:

The last movie I was in theaters was Star Wars which was everything I thought it would be and more, really looking forward to the new ones. I kind of hope they somehow fit gungans (I think that is how it is spelled) back in because there will be so much complaining, the underwater scene from episode one was one of my favorite parts of it.

The last movie I saw was End of Evangelion on New Years Eve for the 3rd or 4th time. One time I watched it with Rocco and Garret from Mega64 doing commentary and they mentioned that with Eva you can rewatch it and you will notice something new almost every time. I highly recommend it for anyone into pre 2000/mech anime and who have seen either the TV series or Death & Rebirth (pretty sure that is a movie version of the TV series).

I have plans to watch some other movies but usually am too busy with work/school/playing games/watching something else. I heard the hateful 8 was good and I probably will see suicide squad but not in theaters.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F

Incredible. The old cast returns with all the original actors. The classic villain Frieza reminded me of Darth Vader from Empire Strikes Back. Last fight was epic and the Namek references from Season 1 was a nice touch. My only minor complaint is they should have showed some blood.

Score: 9.5/10

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

MDC here to review Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill for.  Even though I am not a Frank Miller fan, he is an extraordinary talent.  Sin City 2 is one of the best comic book films I have ever seen.  The graphics, visuals, acting, action, cast of characters, writing, story telling, darkness, grittiness, and the adult tones are sim[ply phenomenal.  The performances by Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Christopher Llyod, and Josh Brolin were out of this world.

Overall score: 10/10

I just finished watching the Deadpool movie.  I am very impressed with this film.  Ryan Reynolds did a magnificent job as Deadpool.  FOX really stepped up their game from last year.  The action, acting, cast of characters, writing, dark and adult tones were great.  This film is not for kids at all.  The best thing about the film was the love story because it gave Deadpool a stronger human side to his character which is what he needs.  The best characters imo were Colossus and Magasonic especially Colossus.  We get a Russian voicing Colossus (awesome).  However, the Stan Lee cameo was unnecessary.  He does not need to appear in every Marvel movie.

Overall, this was a very good film.

Score: 7.75/10

Hopefully we get a Rated R Wolverine movie now with the success of Deadpool.

Yesterday, I saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 with my folks.  We loved it.  Personally I love this film more than BVS.  The story, cast of characters, acting, humor were great.  Even though there was some adult humor, it is still a family friendly movie.  You see the love, strength, determination, and commitment of a great family.

So far this is my favorite film of 2016

I just finished watching Teen Titans vs Justice League.  I am happy to say the New 52 DC Animated Movies have improved since Throne of Atlantis.  The animation, character development, voice acting, story, cast of characters, and action were spectacular.  The characters IMO that shined were Damien, Raven, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Starfire, Superman, & Cyborg.  Dave Bernthal was great as Trigon, one of the most powerful beings in all of fiction.  This is how you represent the Teen Titans compared to that Teen Titans Go! crap.

Now we get a Teen Titans animated movie to explore more character development and the relationship of Robin and Raven
