David Bowie Dead At 69.

Recommended Posts

I am broken. A massive Bowie fan for years, and I cannot imagine a world where someone so ingrained within the cultural zeitgeist is no longer with us.

I found out first thing this morning while I was away for the weekend with my girlfriend. It was a very somber train ride home, listening to his newest (and now final) album, Blackstar, looking out at the appropriately foggy, dreary world passing by.

How tough it is now to listen to that album, released only 2 days before he passed away, knowing he was writing it for us as his eulogy. His last will and testament to his fans.

The video for his final single, Lazarus, is incredibly hard to watch. He knew it was coming:

Rest well, Starman.
