Man, I forgot there was a secret wars plotline in this game. I should probably go through it again to see it.

I think you Secret War.  That was a story in which Nick Fury launches an unsanctioned attack on Latveria.

Secret Wars (1984) is the story in which both the heroes and villain enter Battleworld.

That's hilarious. I didn't know there was a Secret war event that was not Secret wars. I guess the s is the difference lol.

Marvel's Spider-Man (2018)- Review

The Positives:

  • The graphics, character designs, and character models are phenomenal.  TBH, they are the best I've seen in a Spider-Man game since Shattered Dimensions.
  • The story is awesome.  IMO, this game has the best story, narrative, and story telling I've experienced in a Spider-Man since Ultimate Spider-Man.
  • The game's music score is top notch.
  • The voice acting is amazing.  You have Josh Keaton as Electro, Dwight Schultz as Vulture, Fred Tatasciore as Rhino, Travis Willingham as Kingpin, Laura Bailey as Mary Jane Watson, Tara Platt as Yuri Watanabe, Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales, and Brian Bloom as Taskmaster.  However, the stars of the game are Walter Salyers as Doc Ock and Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.  IMO, the Walter Salyers gave us the best iteration of Doc Ock since Alfred Molina back in Spider-Man 2 from 2004.  As for Yuri Lowenthal, he is IMO the best individual to voice Spidey since Josh Keaton.  Yuri gave us one of the best iterations of Spider-Man to date.
  • The game play is off the chain.  The combat, the stealth, the web-swinging, and traversal are mind blowing.
  • The camera system is very good.
  • The game is open world.
  • Excellent Stan Lee cameo.  R.I.P to the King of cameos and the greatest comic book writer of all time.
  • The game has tons of fun and interesting side content.
  • IMO, the Miles and MJ missions are pretty fun.
  • Aside from crafting and upgrading Spidey's gadgets and abilities, you can also craft many of Spidey's costumes that he wore in the comics and movies.

Negatives/Nitpicks:

  • Aside from like 1 or 2 glitches and bugs, nothing.  This game is a masterpiece.

Overview: This is by far the greatest Spider-Man I've ever played to date.  This game totally deserved to being a game of the year contender back in 2018.

Grade: A+

I thought the combat in Spiderman PS4 was a bit too rough. I'd spend 20 minute stealthing an entire area full of enemies, then they force you into a combat encounter with 20 enemies with rocket launchers and other bullshit and you die, and have to repeat it all.

Those my friend are the enemy base missions.  I'm not going to lie, the Maggia base missions were a huge pain in the ass.

I also forgot to mention that I liked the Fast Travel in the game as well.

They don't even give you the option to fully stealth them, they just force you into difficult combat.

Fast travel on PS5 is like 2 seconds...lol you barely see the train

The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction- Review

The Positives:

  • The story is fantastic.  The story did such a great job in not only staying true to the Incredible Hulk character, but also, the mythos as well.  I also loved that Emmy-award winning comic writer, Paul Jenkins, had a hand in the writing of the game's story.
  • The graphics, character designs, and character models are amazing.
  • The voice acting is phenomenal.  You have Daniel Riordan as Dr. Leonard Samson, Richard Moll as the Devil Hulk, David Thomas as General Ross, Fred Tatasciore as the Incredible Hulk, and Vanessa Marshall as Mercy.  However, the stars of the game were Ron Perlman as Emil Blonsky/Abomination and Neal McDonough as Dr. Robert Bruce Banner.  Ron Perlman was amazing as the Abomination.  As for Neal McDonough, he was once again outstanding as Bruce Banner.  Neal McDonough originally voiced Bruce Banner in the 1996 Incredible Hulk animated series.
  • Much like Spider-Man 2 (2004), Batman: Arkham City, and Marvel's Spider-Man, this game is open world.
  • As much as I loved the story, the best part of the game is the gameplay.  OMG, the gameplay is out of this world.  I will tell you that you will truly feel like you are the Hulk while playing this game.  The coolest part of the gameplay IMO is the weaponization ability.  With this ability, you can turn a car into steel boxing gloves, flatten a bus into a shield, use a missile truck's missile pack, use a ball and chain, and turn a round boulder into a bowling ball.

The Negatives/Nitpicks:

  • While there are very little, the game does have a few bugs and glitches.

Overview: The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is an absolute classic, gem, and masterpiece.  It is still highly regarded to this day as one of the best superhero licensed games of all time.  As a matter of fact, as far as I am concerned, it is also the greatest Incredible Hulk game ever/of all time.

Grade: A+

X-Men Legends- Review

The Positives:

  • The story is absolutely phenomenal.
  • The graphics, character designs and character models are top notch.
  • The gameplay is excellent.
  • The ability to play as many of the most famous and iconic members of the X-Men such as Wolverine, Cyclops, Iceman, Jean Grey, Beast, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Gambit is pure genius.
  • The voice acting is amazing.  You have Steve Blum providing the voice of Wolverine, Dee Bradley Baker providing the voice of Nightcrawler, the late Tony Jay providing the voice of Magneto, John DiMaggio providing the voices of Juggernaut and General Kincaid, Grey Griffin providing the voice of Mystique, Cree Summer providing the voice of Magma and Patrick Stewart providing the voice of Professor X.

The Negatives/Nitpicks:

  • N/A

Overview: X-Men Legends is an absolute classic and gem.  It is one of the best superhero licensed games of all time.

Grade: A+

The Hulk (2003 Movie tie-in game)- Review

The Positives:

  • The story while easy to follow and get into, is still pretty solid IMO.  What I find interesting about the story is that it takes places years after the events of the film.  That's right true believers, this game serves as a sequel to the 2003 Ang Lee Hulk movie.
  • I absolutely loved the graphics, character designs and character models.  IMO, they still hold up extremely well.
  • The gameplay is fantastic.  I really loved the fact that you can play as the Hulk and his human alter-ego, Bruce Banner.
  • The game features several classic Incredible Hulk villains such as the Leader, Madman, Half-Life, Flux, General Ryker, and Ravage.
  • The voice acting throughout this game is top notch.  You have Jano Frandsen as General Ryker, Paul Dobson as Madman, Katie Bennison as Betty Ross, Michael Dobson as the Leader, Lee Tockar as Half-Life and Flux, Graig Robertson as Hulk, and Dion Luther as Ravage.  However, the star of the game IMO is none other than Eric Bana reprising his role as Bruce Banner from the 2003 Hulk movie.  IMO, Eric Bana was an excellent Bruce Banner not only in this game, but in the film as well.

The Negatives/Nitpicks:

  • The only negative/nitpick I've had with this game are the occasional game bugs and glitches from time to time.

Overview: The Hulk movie tie-in game from 2003 is an absolute classic and gem.  It was one of my absolute favorites throughout my childhood.  Playing this game again was a joy, honor, privlege, and most of all, truly nostalgic.  IMO, this game is among the best superhero and movie tie-in games I've ever played.

Grade: A+
