Mantis                                                                         VS.                                        Blue Marvel

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

Mantis

Real Name: Mantis

First Appearance: Forever People Vol. 1 #2 (November, 1971)

Origin and backstory: Mantis is one of the "bug" people of New Genesis and has been given some of his superhuman powers by Darkseid. Mantis left New Genesis first for Apokolips and then for Earth, where he planned to conquer as much of the planet as he possible could. He did this with the blessing of Darkseid, who hoped that the chaos Mantis created would help him in locating the human mind holding the all powerful Anti-life Equation.  The bug has been referred to as the Energy Vampire, due to his ability to drain energy from his enemies. To regain his strength after a losing battle, Mantis rests in a tomb-like cocoon.  The Forever People summoned the Infinity Man who defeated Mantis and ended his first assault on Earth. Mantis then organized the inhabitants of the "bug" colonies of New Genesis into an army that invaded Earth. Lightray, Orion and Forager battled Mantis and his army and forced them to retreat. Mantis went on to aid Darkseid in his continual attempts to conquer the Earth.  During Orion's reign on Apokolips, Mantis retreated to New Genesis in order to "plant" firepits on the beautiful planet. He was quickly stopped by Mark Moonrider and Big Bear of the Forever People.  Like most of Darkseid's minions, there were occasions when Mantis has risen up against his master, and was punished in the most severe way.

Here are his powers, abilities, and equipment:

  • New God Physiology: The beings of Apokolips call themselves gods and live in a realm called the Fourth World which is outside normal space and time. Their strength is due to their relative proximity to the Source, an energy which fuels the powers of the beings in Apokolips. The inhabitants of New Genesis are far more stronger, faster, smarter and are said to be immortal.
    • Vast Superhuman Strength: He is considered one of the strongest New Gods, being able to match with Superman and Infinity Man and also able to lift 100,000 tons, without any effort.
    • Superhuman Speed
    • Superhuman Reflexes
    • Superhuman Stamina
    • Superhuman Senses: As a New God, he has all senses expanded at superhuman levels.
    • Invulnerability: As a New God Mantis is resistant to most forms of energy physical attacks, being able to withstand hits from people like Infinity Man, Orion, Superman and even Lightray's powers.
    • Immortality: As a New God Mantis has an extended lifespan which allows him to exist indefinitely, he doesn't age, wither or degrade.
    • Immunity: New Gods have an advanced immune system, which allows him to survive on Apokolips environmental (which is full of diseases and toxins) and be immune to toxin and diseases from other planets.
    • Flight
  • Darkseid Manipulation
    • Energy Manipulation: After have its powers increased by Darkseid, Mantis became a sort of energy vampire able to absorb and releases unlimited amounts of energy, for various purposes.
    • Absorption: Mantis can absorb unlimited amounts of energy from any power source, as light, life force, heat, magic, powers and many others.
    • Projection: Mantis can project blast from any part of his body and control its direction, he can also use this ability to redirect energies against an opponent, it is stated that his powers are capable of harming intangible beings.
    • Energy Enhanced Strike: Mantis can charge his hands with energy, multiplying the strength of his blows.
    • Charging: Mantis can also channel their energies on the matter to overload it and thereby disrupt the molecular bonds, causing it to explode.
    • Sensing/Tracking: Mantis' energy powers enables him to sense and detect energy, enabling to sense an invisible opponent and even tracking a person through his energetic signature.
    • Anti-Matter Manipulation: Another power given by Darkseid is the ability to emit Anti-matter radiation from his hands to annihilate anything he comes in contact, sometimes it already proved to be able to use this power as blast.
    • Thermal Manipulation: Mantis is capable to generate heat and cold energies from his hand, exciting molecular agitation inducing intense heat to melt any material that could come into contact or intense cold to freeze and or imprison people in a thick ice cocoon.
    • Teleportation: Like Darkseid, Mantis is also able to create and open his own Boom Tubes to teleport himself and others, across inter-dimensional and short distances.

Equipment:

  • Fatherbox

Blue Marvel

Real Name: Adam Bernard Brashear

First Appearance: Adam: Legend of the Blue Marvel Vol. 1 #1 (November, 2008)

Origin and backstory: Adam Brashear was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. From an early age it was realized that Adam was a child prodigy. Adam was a former fullback at Cornell University who graduated magna cum laude. Adam had Ph.D.s. in electrical engineering and theoretical physics.  Adam was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the US Marine Corps with two Silver Stars. While in the Marine Corps Adam met Conner Sims, the friend he would later know as Anti Man.  Adam later became the project lead on a scientific attempt to harness Anti Matter through the creation of a "Negative Reactor" which created a bridge between the Negative Zone and the positive matter universe itself. This reactor would then allow for an almost unlimited source of clean energy by allowing devices to tap the energy generated by a stable event horizon balanced between these positive and negative universes. Due to the unexpected explosion of the reactor, both Adam and Connor were subjected to mutagenic radiation generated by the then unstable event horizon. While Sims' body disassembled into energy, Brashear became a stable antimatter reactor and developed a set of superhuman abilities.  In 1962 Adam received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President John F. Kennedy on the day the President asked him to retire; it had been discovered by the public that he is an African American. As the Blue Marvel, Adam wore a full face helmet, but when it was damaged in a battle, Adam's identity was revealed. A massive controversy ensued as the America of 1962 was too racist to accept a black super man. The President reluctantly decided to ask Adam to step back. Torn between myriad considerations, the Blue Marvel conceded.  At some point, Adam studied a mysterious being called the Infinaut who made various attempts to manifest on Earth.  Adam came back for one final mission and defeated the herald of an alien armada bent on enslaving the Earth. After that fight, Adam left the Medal of Freedom in the Blue Area of the Moon, where he first met Uatu the Watcher. Adam's conversation with the Watcher was interrupted by the late arrival of the alien armada and Adam defeated them. The United States Government used this final mission to fake his death. The government later set up S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Marlene Frazier as Adam's monitor under the cover name Candace. Marlene eventually became Adam's lover, his wife and the mother of their three children. Adam later became a tenured professor of physics at the University of Maryland.  Years went by without Adam donning the cape and cowl again, he lived a normal life raising a family and working having earned a PhD in Theoretical Physics; Electrical Engineering Degree from Cornell, before the return of the Anti-Man. Though because of his bitter history with the government he refused to help. Things grew even worse when his wife revealed her part in the plot to keep him under wraps, and her job as a spy. She was formerly an undercover agent sent to watch Brashear. She explains why she reluctantly took the job of spying on him, and later, how she eventually fell in love with Adam, despite the prevailing racism and prejudice of the era. Brasher, feeling shocked and betrayed by his wife's revelation, once more retreats to the moon. Where, his solace is interrupted by the Watcher. The two have a conversation, in which the Watcher helped him remember why he had become a hero in the first place, though he vowed that he would never take the fall again.  During there talk The Watcher reminds them of the first time that they met. At that time (1960's) an alien invasion task force assembled over the moon with the Earth within its sights. Blue Marvel dispatches the armada with relative ease, saving the Earth. However, his victory is unrecognized for no one besides himself, the Watcher, and any possible surviving aliens know of it . Cut back to the present, Adam leaves to talk to Tony Stark aboard the Helicarrier. After Adam talks with the Mighty Avengers, he eventually decides to resume his Blue Marvel identity. Answering Tony Stark's call to defeat the re-emergent Anti-man.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Anti-Matter Energy Absorption Physiology: Theoretically, it seems to be the main source of Blue Marvel's power. This source of power is the energy released from anti-matter which derives from the dimension called the Negative Zone.[2] Anti-matter is the same as normal matter except that the sub-atomic particles are the opposite charge. Therefore, anti-matter and normal matter cannot coexist without exploding. CERN was the first to synthesize particles of anti-matter on Earth in 1995, keeping them in a magnetically charged vacuum to keep it from coming in contact with normal matter. Nuclear fission releases energy with 1.5% efficiency; anti-matter releases energy with 100% efficiency. One gram of anti-matter contains the same energy as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. One droplet could power New York City for a full day. Adam Brashear is the first human anti-matter generator and reactor. The experiment he gained his powers from renders his form unaffected from anti-matter. Blue Marvel was considered to be an Alpha Level Threat by Captain America (Sam Wilson) and Tony Stark.
    • Anti-Matter Stabilization: According to Blue Marvel himself, he is a stable "antimatter reactor", but from his broader explanation, what he appears to do is channel exotic particles generated by a stable event horizon, caused by the interaction of opposing positive matter and negative matter (Negative Zone) universes. Because Blue Marvel has retained his powers all this time, it would seem that either the specific generative reaction that granted him his powers, continues at an unseen or subatomic level in the facility where he first gained his powers, or exotic particles generated by the experiment somehow became quantum entangled with Blue Marvel. He is able to stabilize antimatter, where anti-matter and matter would normally annihilate each other upon physical contact; Blue Marvel can prevent such an occurrence for a variety of effects, ranging from matter-antimatter constructs to the cohabitation of matter and antimatter beings.
    • Anti-Matter Manipulation: Blue Marvel can absorb and generate vast amounts of anti-matter energy for various effects.
      • Concussion Beams: Blue Marvel can release beams of pure solidified antimatter that causes concussive damage. The effects of these beams rang from slight push, hard hit, knock-out, minor and major damage, shattering, and total annihilation of the target.
      • Concussive Force Bolts: Blue Marvel can release anti-matter energy from his hands as bolts of concussive force.
      • Stun Bolts: Blue Marvel can project low-energy of antimatter bolts that render human beings unconscious.
      • Optic Blast: Blue Marvel can project antimatter beams from his eyes, of various intensity.
      • Energy Constructs: Blue Marvel can turn antimatter into any item he's seen, can imagine, or has a good idea how it functions.
      • Energy Enhanced Punches: Blue Marvel can focus antimatter into his fists, which he can then use to shatter substances.
      • Energy Pulse: Blue Marvel can produce a surge of antimatter from his entire body, as a massive omnidirectional pulse of devastation power.
      • Energy Shields: Blue Marvel has been seen creating antimatter shields, around himself ad others.  The shields are strong enough to deflect and absorb charging attacks from King Hyperion.
    • Incalculable Superhuman Strength: Blue Marvel possesses vast levels of superhuman strength, and is stated to be in the same league as Sentry, Hulk, and Thor strength wise; Blue Marvel has the potential to be the most powerful hero on Earth. He was seen effortlessly lifting the 1960 era's American warship 'Enterprise' which weighs over 93,000 tons, but is capable of greater feats of strength, as shown when he easily moved a meteor "easily the size of Arkansas". Blue Marvel is capable of lifting far in excess of 100 tons easily, as shown when he's lifted a disabled battleship weighing 100,000 tons and flew it back to port for repair. The Watcher said that Blue Marvel could have "split the moon in two" with one blow. Prince Namor himself stated that after Blue Marvel's long hiatus, that only the Hulk and Thor have hit him as hard. Blue Marvel went toe to toe with Sentry, as well as with the rest of the Avengers; he knocked Sentry unconscious into orbit in a single blow, for several minutes. Sentry barely beat Blue Marvel, requiring the distraction of a prolonged and exhausting fight with The Avengers including Wonder Man, Ms. Marvel, Ares and Iron Man to deliver a solid blow.  When he and the Ultimates confronted their Earth-1610 counterparts he was able to defeat their Hulk with just one punch.  The uppermost limits of Blue Marvel's strength is unknown, but it equals or exceeds the likes of a enraged Hulk, Sentry and others.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: Blue Marvel possess nigh-invulnerability similar to Sentry, and has no physical weaknesses; he can withstand: tremendous impact forces, high-caliber bullets, exposure to temperature and pressure extremes, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining injury. When swimming to his base in the Mariana Trench (deepest part of ocean), he remains unaffected by the Ocean's pressure. Blue Marvel has also withstood a nuclear detonation at ground zero, without any apparent physical trauma whatsoever.
    • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his nigh invulnerability, it is possible to injure Blue Marvel. If injured, his body is capable of quickly repairing damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than the normal human body.
    • Superhuman Reflexes: Blue Marvel reflexes are superior to those of the finest human athletes. He's capable of catching bullets and dodging projectiles.
    • Superhuman Agility:  Blue Marvel's natural balance, agility, and body coordination are enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Blue Marvel's enhanced musculature is far more efficient than that of a humans. His muscles produces very no fatigue toxins, thereby granting limitless stamina.
    • Self-Sustenance: Blue Marvel can survive in harsh environments without air, food, or water. He's also able to survive in the deepest parts of the ocean and unaided in space.
    • Superhuman Speed: Blue Marvel is capable of thinking, moving, and reacting vastly faster than any normal human being. He's shown to be fast enough to keep up with Sentry, which means he can move and think thousands of times faster than an average human.
    • Flight: Blue Marvel flies by manipulation of gravitons, manipulation of magnetic fields, control of his absolute molecular movement, and utilizing his superhuman speed. He can fly far beyond supersonic speeds, reach speeds of at least escape velocity (7 miles per second), and has been seen flying into space unaided under his own power. He's also been seen traveling to the moon in less than 20 minutes, flying at a casual speed. This would indicate that he is at LEAST capable of flying at 675,000 mph (187miles per second).
    • Superhuman Senses: Blue Marvel possesses sensory abilities that exceed far above normal human capabilities.
      • Enhanced Vision: Blue Marvel can see down to the quark level.
      • Enhanced Sense of Smell
      • Enhanced Sense of Taste
      • Enhanced Hearing
      • Enhanced Sense of Touch
      • Enhanced Mental Perception/Hyper-Cosmic Awareness: Blue Marvel possesses the ability to sense & comprehend things on levels that far exceed human capabilities. He can perceive different sensory spectra beyond the regular norm. Superior Spider-Man once likened him to being his own Electron Microscope, enabling him to see into Spectrum's damaged energy form in order to repair what Proxima had done. Later he would expand his consciousness further through one of his inventions to find out about the imprisonment of conceptual existence.
    • Longevity: Blue Marvel ages at a vastly slower rate than normal humans. Because of this, his life-span is greatly expanded and he remains at his physical prime.
    • Energy Manipulation: Blue Marvel was able to re-arrange the photons inside Spectrum's, to stop the anti-photons from destroying her body, thus making her stronger and more powerful. Afterwards, she was strong enough to take down a tiny shadow of Shuma Gorath.
    • Molecular Manipulation: Blue Marvel is able to affect matter at a molecular level with a great degree of precision and control. He displayed this ability, when he not only healed Monica Rambeau, but further boosted her electromagnetic abilities. It is not known if this power is limited to electromagnetic particles only, or if Blue Marvel is able to affect all matter, allowing him to alter an object's molecular composition or transmute elements.
    • Light Generation: Blue Marvel has exhibited the ability literally "create his own light". He can control its direction, intensity, and duration.
    • Skilled Athlete: Adam is a highly talented Football Player, and former Fullback at Cornell University.
    • Trained Combatant: Adam has been trained by the US Marines in armed and unarmed combat at Montford Point. He was able to directly engage Iron man, Ares, Wonder Man and Ms. Marvel in combat at the same time, and casually overpower them.
    • Super-Genius Intelligence: Adam has a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where he graduated Magna cum laude. Adam is a genius in the field of Theoretical Physics, and has made extraordinary strides in the study of antimatter; Spider-Man is familiar with Adams work, and is impressed. Adam is also a Physics Professor at the University of Maryland. He's capable of creating complex battle plans on the fly with teams he’s never worked with, and also creates portal technology on his own for fun.  According to Reed Richards, Adam's intellect matches that of Doctor Doom.

Battle Breakdown: Man oh man, do I have a good one for you today.  IMO, it is going to come down to not one's energy and physical limitations, but also, the one who comes down with a better strategy to win.

Who do you guys think takes this, Mantis or Blue Marvel?  I hope you guys enjoy this one and I'll see you guys next time.  PEACE!!!

Definitely Mantis.

For a moment there, I thought Mantis was a marvel character, because he kinda looks like, and strangely reminds me, of that tall dude Galactus.

Anyway, good Fantasy Fights bro. This one had me thinking hard.

So that's two for Mantis and one for Blue Marvel.  Interesting.

Anyways, glad you enjoyed it.

Hello True Believers,

Do I have a good one for you today?

Today, I am going to matchup two powerhouse character that could potentially shake the ground beneath them.

I give you:

234227021_SolomonGrundy.jpg.7f12ceaed9585e4164f69c0a16572b33.jpg                                                                   609138668_RedHulk(ThaddeusRoss).jpg.a995b1b8a6b542b8f2fc37bff3d33251.jpg

Solomon Grundy                                            VS.                                   Red Hulk

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Solomon Grundy

Real Name: Cyrus Gold

First Appearance: All-American Comics Vol. 1 #61 (October, 1944)

Origin and backstory: Cyrus Gold was born some time around the early 19th century. In the year 1895, he had carried on an affair with a local prostitute from Gotham City named Rachel Rykel. According to Rykel, she was pregnant with Gold's child, and sought to extort money from him for her silence. Cyrus met with her for a secret negotiation at Slaughter Swamp, several miles outside of Gotham. When Gold refused to yield to blackmail, Rachel's pimp, Jem, dashed Cyrus across the back of the head with a shovel. They buried Gold in the swamp, content that no one would ever come looking for him. Over the span of fifty years, Gold’s body interacted with the detritus and sour vegetation of the swamp. Through an as of yet unknown process, Cyrus Gold's corpse transformed into a rotting, vegetative undead monstrosity that the world would soon come to know as Solomon Grundy.  In 1944, Cyrus Gold's corpse was reanimated as a huge shambling figure with almost no memory of its past life. Gold murdered two escaped criminals who were hiding out in the marsh and stole their clothes. He showed up in a hobo camp and, when asked about his name, one of the few things he could recall was that he was "born on a Monday". One of the men at the camp mentioned the nursery rhyme character Solomon Grundy, and Gold adopted the moniker.  Strong, vicious, and nearly mindless, Solomon Grundy fell into a life of crime — or, perhaps returned to one according to his scattered residual memories — attracting the attention of the Green Lantern, Alan Scott. Grundy proved to be a difficult opponent, unkillable (since he was already dead) and with an inherent resistance to Scott's powers (which could not affect wood, a substance of which Grundy's reassembled body was now largely composed). Their first fight ended when Grundy was hurled under a train. The second battle with Grundy involved Green Lantern and his fellow members of the Justice Society of America tracking him across the country, depositing Grundy on the moon once he was defeated. A subsequent battle between the two ended up with Lantern burying Grundy in 1947.

Solomon Grundy would then continue to a major threat in the DC Universe for many years.  He even helped form the infamous Legion of Doom.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Zombie Physiology
    • Energy Transference: Grundy has also proven to be able to absorb certain forms of energy and manipulate them at will. This ability has always been subconscious to the point of being accidental, though, but it would suggest that Grundy is even more powerful than he has the intelligence to realize.
    • Mystical Invulnerability: The weird elemental energy that imbues his form with pseudo-life makes him virtually indestructible - he is impervious to bullets, fire, and extreme cold, and can survive indefinitely without food, water, or oxygen. The only thing that has ever been able to hurt him, was the Mist's special toxins, developed to take out Grundy's plant tissue body.
    • Regeneration: Grundy also has a healing factor
    • Superhuman Stamina: Grundy can perform physically strenuous tasks for an indeterminate period of time before tiring.
    • Resurrection: Even when he is destroyed, he has always been reborn sooner or later. The soul of Cyrus Gold enjoys his pseudo-life through Grundy, even though Gold's whole personality is never present in Grundy's "life". Grundy's personality differs from incarnation to incarnation, but he seems to retain some memories of his experiences from one time to the next.
    • Vast Superhuman Strength: Solomon Grundy possesses tremendous strength and stamina, the level of which varies with his different incarnations. Sometimes he can be held by a group of normal humans, on other occasions, even Superman has not been able to defeat him.

Red Hulk

Real Name: General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross

First Appearance: The Incredible Hulk Vol. 1 #1 (March, 1962); Hulk Vol. 2 #1 (March, 2008) as Red Hulk

Origin: Ross' daughter Betty was later killed by Abomination, and the Hulk was exiled off of Earth by a group of superheroes. The grief of his daughter's death, along with lacking a purpose now that there was no Hulk on Earth to fight, led Thaddeus to spiral into alcoholism and depression. On the night that Captain America was assassinated, Ross was watching the events on a television in a bar when suddenly all of the patrons in the bar except for Ross were launched into a trance, and Ross was approached by the villains M.O.D.O.K and the Leader. The two interlopers told Ross that Hulk would return to Earth sometime soon and seek vengeance on those who had exiled him. Using revenge upon the Hulk and a promise that they would bring his daughter back to life as leverage, the two villains eventually convinced Ross to help them with their plans. Thus, when Hulk eventually did return and initiated the event "World War Hulk," Ross helped fight in the battle against Hulk while communicating with his new allies. With the help of M.O.D.O.K., the Leader, and a previous friend of the Hulk's named Doc Samson, the quartet used satellites to siphon energy from the Hulk and even recover Bruce Banner's body in the aftermath of the battle using Life-Model Decoys posing as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Transporting Banner's body away to a secret base, Ross' three allies used the body and the energy they had siphoned from the Hulk to turn Ross into the monstrous Red Hulk—a red-skinned beast with similar size and strength to that of the regular Hulk, but with the ability for Ross to consciously transform between his human form and Red Hulk at any time he chose.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Transformation:  Red Hulk will not transform between forms without consciously willing it. For example when he was knocked out by Hulk, A-Bomb, and Thor, he did not revert for hours even though he was unconscious. Though he has sometimes changed back when asleep.
    • Vast Superhuman Strength: Red Hulk possesses vast superhuman strength. He can augment it by absorbing radiation.  Red Hulk has performed some extraordinary feats of strength which include over-powering and killing the Abomination with relative ease, defeating an Odinforce-powered Thor in a one-on-one fight (though it should be noted that Thor was unprepared for him as he defeated Ross immediately after returning to Earth and later in a subsequent fight when the Red Hulk sought his aid and did not fight in earnest), punching out the Watcher, and killing an Elder of the Universe. In a fight with the original Hulk, the narration describes the Red Hulk striking with the force of a nuclear explosion.
    • Superhuman Leaping: Red Hulk's overdeveloped legs allows him to jump over vast distances. In his fight with Thor he was able to leap past the Earth's atmosphere, requiring Mjolnir only to cover the rest of the distance to the moon and then leapt from the moon back to Earth unaided.
    • Regenerative Healing Factor: Red Hulk possesses a Healing Factor similar to that of the Green Hulk, although it's noticeably less powerful, as it took a considerable period of time to just restore his sight after Wolverine slashed his eyes.
      • Retarded Aging: Red Hulk does not age because of his healing factor that regenerates his cells and that he is powered by gamma and cosmic energy, but when he was Ross he still aged.
    • Superhuman Stamina: Red Hulk's stamina is nigh-limitless and can constantly fight, run and perform physical activities without any tire.
    • Superhuman Durability/Nigh-Invulnerability: Red Hulk has an incredibly durable body, and has physically been able to withstand a direct blow to the face with Thor's hammer Mjölnir, only to laugh it off with only an "X" caved into his face. He has also taken on multiple super-humans at one time, effectively shaking them off and decisively beating them multiple times. Though Powerhouses Such as Hulk, Thor, Angrir and Iron-man still damage him, and in time it may result in a KO.  His skin and muscle, being as thick and dense as it is, allows for Rulk to survive deep sea depth equal to those seen in the Marianas Trench with no ill physical effects outside of the need for oxygen. He can also withstand direct contact with molten lava and can operate in a fiery environment with little worry of external damage. His body is tough enough to survive the conditions of space itself, at one point not only jumping to the moon while dragging Thor behind him, but also leaping back to Earth and surviving unscathed a deep crater-forming impact.  However, unlike the other Hulk, the Red Hulk in particular has a weakness to sharp objects. Characters such as Wolverine and Punisher managed to pierce the Red Hulk's hide.
    • Superhuman Speed: Red Hulk can move at superhuman speeds as well. Once he moved too fast for an unprepared Iron Man to react.
    • Gamma Radiation Emission: Red Hulk constantly gives off gamma radiation. The rate of emission is increased the angrier he gets. This radiation sometimes burns what even Ross touches, and at high levels, makes Ross appear to be on fire. If Ross emits too much radiation, he overheats and can explode in immense levels, which could be dangerous for his opponents.
    • Energy Absorption: Red Hulk is capable of absorbing energy.  He said in his confrontation against the Hulk and his Defenders that he absorbs energy, mostly gamma, but that he has a real taste for cosmic power. He has also absorbed (and taken for himself) the Silver Surfer's power cosmic, leaving him powerless on the ground while Red Hulk flew away on his board.
    • Formidable hand-to-hand combatant, skilled military tactician.

Battle Breakdown: Man oh man, we got an interest fight folks.  We have two Hulk-like characters going at it.  To me, this is a toss up.  Solomon Grundy is incredibly powerful, but, his raw power varies from incarnation to incarnation.  Red Hulk is also incredibly powerful, but, not quite as powerful as the original Hulk.

So as always, I'll leave it up to you guys.  Is it Solomon Grundy or Red Hulk?  I hope you guys enjoy this fight and I'll see ya'll later.  PEACE!!!

PEACE!!!

I pick Red Hulk. I think him being a military tactician would give him a slight edge.

Awesome.  However, as I said earlier, it also depends on the incarnation of Solomon Grundy.  There have some incarnations of Grundy that are either just as strong if not possibly stronger than Superman.

Black Adam vs. The Incredible Hulk

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Black Adam

Real Name: Teth-Adam

First Appearance: Marvel Family Vol. 1 #1 (December, 1945)

Origin & Backstory: Some five-thousand years before the time of the Marvel Family, the wizard Shazam chosen the Egyptian prince named Teth-Adam as his successor, transforming him into his champion Mighty Adam. Unlike Billy Batson however, the power corrupted Teth-Adam and he turned to evil. Deciding that he should rule the world, Mighty Adam overthrows and kills the pharaoh and assumes the throne. An angry Shazam gives his errant champion a new name — "Black Adam" — and, unable to take his powers away, banishes him to the most distant star in the universe.

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills

  • Divine Empowerment: Unlike Billy Batson, who draws his power from the wizard Shazam directly, Teth-Adam gained his power from six Egyptian deities — Shu, Heru, Amon, Zehuti, Aton and Mehen.
    • S for the Stamina of Shu: Using Shu's endurance, Black Adam can withstand and survive most types of extreme physical assaults. additionally, he does not need to eat or breathe and can survive unaided in space.
      • Superhuman Endurance: His godly metabolism provides him with far greater than human endurance in all physical activities.
      • Self-Sustenance: Sustained by the magical energies coursing through his body. He does not require air, food or water. Black Adam is immortal.
    • H for the Swiftness of Heru: The Speed of Heru allows Black Adam to run, move, and fly at least Mach 500 in an atmosphere. He even approached light-speed with a time-traveling Jay Garrick in ancient Egypt, before his velocity was stolen. Captain Marvel(Billy Batson) has done the same alongside Wally West. In one account, Adam traveled from the farthest reaches of the cosmos to Earth in 5000 years (the universe is 156 billion light-years wide). Black Adam also has a habit of speedblitzing, having effectively blitzed the likes of Power Girl, Billy Batson/Captain Marvel, Hal Jordan, Onimar Synn, and a blood lusted Mary Marvel. His combat speed is just up to par, as shown when he brawled with Jay Garrick at super speed with such quickness that everyone around them became statues. During World War III, he was blitzing through literal hordes of heroes at once.
      • Superhuman Speed: Ability to sharpen his awareness and increase his temporal flow, appearing to move faster than humanly possible. He can move at incredible speeds, possibly equal to Superman. He can move fast enough to not register in the normal peripheral range of humans and seemingly vanish and disappear at will. At this speed, his mind processes information at least on a subliminal level that he is aware of his surroundings.
      • Flight: Black Adam can also mystically fly through the atmosphere through sure act of will, enabling him to soar through the atmosphere at sub-orbital levels and travel across the planet. He is immune from the effects of extreme height, such as dizziness and lightheadedness. He can travel from the earth to the moon, but he requires extra-precautionary paraphernalia for interstellar travel. Black Adam is capable of flying at light speed.
    • A for the Strength of Amon: The Strength of Amon is likely Black Adam's strongest area. With such strength, he often disrupts speedsters with a simple thunderclap. Among other things, he's matched Superman on two occasions, tossed an aircraft carrier (hundreds of thousands of tons) from the ocean to New York City without strain, and punched harder than the chicxulub asteroid. It was in fact stated by Superman himself that his punches have the impact of a small bomb with the volume of cannon blasts, and that was in a fight where Adam was holding back. During World War III, an enraged Black Adam mowed through Alan Scott, STRIPE, Steel, Natasha Irons, Dr. Light, Troy, Power Girl, Stargirl, Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, Firestorm, Bulleteer, Plastic Man, Wonder Girl (with Wonder Woman's equipment), Shining Knight, Aquagirl, Black Canary, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Aurora, Geo-Force, Vixen, JT & the Thunderbolt, Fire, Jay Garrick, Hourman, Jesse Quick, Green Arrow, Atom Smasher, Guardian, Beast Boy, Sandman, Looker, Mr. Terrific, Nuklon, Offspring, Black Lightning, Arsenal, Wildcat, Metamorpho, and Dr. Midnight all at once. He even ripped off AMAZO's head, who had been in his strongest version yet. With his brute strength alone, he was able to defeat Lord Marvel - an extremely powerful magician and Captain Marvel's greatest form yet. In like manner, he broke Power Girl simply by throwing her.
    • Z for the Wisdom of Zehuti: The Wisdom of Zehuti gives Adam access to godly level of knowledge, magical and mundane. He simply ‘knows’ appropriate knowledge for a situation, and be counseled as to the best course of action. This was shown clearly when Adam knew of Wonder Woman's birthplace, as well as when Adam was able to read Captain Marvel's thoughts. Adam has voiced distrust for the voices of the gods to Captain Marvel. Adam’s gods have also expressed approval for his more brutal actions in “52”, which appears to be very different than the stance of Captain Marvel’s patrons. Black Adam’s senses are phenomenally sharp as well, able to smell sweat and hear blinking.
      • Superhuman Knowledge: Can recall knowledge and facts that he normally should not and/or would not know.
      • Clairvoyance:  An uncanny awareness of his circumstances that allows him to turn disadvantages into advantages, an understanding of divine interactions with the mortal world.
      • Hypnosis: Can hypnotize people as well, through this power.
    • A for the Power of Aton: Besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transforms Adam, it also enhances Adam's other physical abilities and allows for inter-dimensional travel. Adam can use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or target. He can channel the Power of Aton and the other Gods to increase the power of his attacks to God like levels, whilst doing this he has hurt the likes of Spectre himself. He rarely resorts to this.
      • Mystical Transformation
      • Physical Enhancement
      • Spell Source
      • Advanced Healing
      • Inter-dimensional travel: This can only be used to travel to the Rock of Eternity.
      • Electrokinesis: Black Adam is able to manipulate the magical lightning that fuels his power. He can summon powerful bolts of lightning by yelling "Shazam" and letting the transformative bolt of lightning hit the opponent rather then himself.  His lightning was also capable of recharging Flash's powers after he was depleted of energy.
      • Electro-Blast:  Black Adam can project bolts of powerful arcane lightning from any part of his body. By projecting this energy from his hands, Adam was even capable of harming Wonder Woman.
    • M for the Courage of Mehen: This aspect is partly psychological, and gives Adam superhuman amounts of inner strength to draw off of, while also making him indestructible and practically invulnerable to conventional physical injury like the great snake itself.
      • Superhuman Inner Strength: The Courage of Mehen provides Adam with a godly degree of inner strength, including superhuman resistance to psychic manipulation, or any form of mind control. It is worth noting that even in mortal form Teth demonstrates phenomenal determination, mental toughness, and nerves of steel. Black Adam boldly stood up against the strongest version of the Spectre, and on another occasion faced off entire superhero leagues without breaking stride. Martian Manhunter stated he had no fear of death, not even his own.
      • Invulnerability: Black Adam is almost invulnerable.  He's also remarkably resistant to magical attacks, having laughed off lightning from the Helmet of Fate, taken hits from full Starheart energy around an Nth metal mace, resisted a stream of magic from Isis (who Adam admitted was more powerful than him), and shrugged off a blast from Mary Marvel, who was amped by magic power of Klarion, Zatanna, the wizard Shazam, Isis, and himself at the time. Even when a specially prepared bullet made from the Rock of Eternity could puncture him, Adam dug it out with his fingers and healed almost immediately. Point being, Black Adam is only vulnerable to specific magic or the thunderbolt that transforms him. Otherwise, he's virtually indestructible inside and out. As even more impressively, he managed to stay on his feet after being blasted with the power of every bomb, missile, and military weapon on Earth by an Apokoliptian Demi-God. Even internally, Black Adam is invulnerable. He withstood an object the size of a football field teleporting inside of him, and his counterpart Captain Marvel has withstood being literally turned inside out by a spatial tesseract bomb with zero ill effects!
    • Egyptology: Egyptian history and lore, Egyptian mythology, Egyptian magic.
    • Multilingualism: Black Adam can speak several languages including ancient Egyptian, Arabic, Kahndaqi and American English.
    • Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced): Even without his powers, he is a considerably skilled combatant, and has repeatedly been described as a warrior who had proven himself to be highly skilled even before he was given the power of Shazam or the Egyptian Gods.  He has even fought and survived without his powers, killing U.N. guards with his followers and slaying a Yeti.  He also battled against an alien invasion, who had come to subdue .Kahndaq and the rest of the World centuries before the modern day. Defeating their champion in single combat, provoking the other aliens to flee Earth.
    • Intimidation: Adam was considered intimidating enough to be conducted in the Sinestro Corps.
    • Firearms
    • Knife Proficiency
    • Swordsmanship
    • Meditation
    • Leadership: His draconian methods grant him effective leadership abilities and have allowed him to rule his own country without considerable dissent.
    • Occultism: Due to the nature of his powers, Adam has a decent understanding of magic.

The Hulk

Real Name: Robert Bruce Banner

First Appearance: The Incredible Hulk Vol. 1 #1 (March, 1962)

Origin: Banner was present in the instrumentation bunker at the test site for the first underground test detonation of the Gamma Bomb. Observing that a civilian had breached security and entered the restricted test area, Banner told his colleague Igor Starsky to delay the countdown while he tried to escort the civilian to safety. Starsky, secretly a Soviet agent, did nothing, confident that Banner would die in the explosion, bringing the project to a halt. Reaching the civilian, a teenager named Rick Jones, Banner threw him into a protective trench. Before Banner could get himself to safety, the Gamma Bomb detonated, and intense waves of radiation reached the surface.  Banner was irradiated with highly charged radioactive particles. Bruce died, but the Gamma Bomb had created a metaphysical barrier called the Green Door that connected Earth with the Below-Place, the bottom layer of the Multiverse. The Green Door brought Bruce back to life, but the time span between his death and resurrection was so short, his death went unnoticed.  The Gamma Bomb also caused Bruce to alter his body, causing him to frequently transform into the vastly powerful, humanoid monster whom General Ross named "the Hulk."

Here are his powers, abilities, and skills:

  • Gamma Mutate Physiology: Due to Bruce Banner being exposed to the Gamma Bomb's radiation, culminating in his transformation into a powerful monster, the gamma radiation mutated the Hulk's body and fortified his cellular structure, adding over 800lbs of bone marrow and muscle tissues to his body.  In addition, during times of stress the Incredible Hulk's adrenaline level escalates, causing a corresponding escalation of brute strength. Thus, the madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets.  The Incredible Hulk was for several times described as one of the physically most powerful beings in the entire Marvel Universe, with the potential for limitless levels of strength and durability (which scales directly with his strength).  The Hulk, in the full exercise of his potential, was described as the most powerful regular humanoid, and his maximum known strength level ranges beyond the limits of virtually any other known humanoid being.  The Hulk's vast physical might has even been described as powerful enough to ravage entire worlds. Moreover, the Hulk was also stated to be an Omega Level Threat by both the Initiative, and Mister Fantastic, and even "the Original Omega Level Threat" by Gyrich.  At one point, the Hulk was stated to be the strongest hero in the world.  Nick Fury's intel also classified him as Power Level 10+, the highest level in their scale of measurement, and as the Merged Hulk he was described as part of the Omega-class entities by Doctor Octopus.
    • Transformation: The process by which Banner usually transforms into the Hulk is presumably the result of the chemical catalyst, adrenaline (a.k.a. epinephrine). As in normal human beings, Banner's adrenal medulla secretes large amounts of adrenaline in time of fear, rage, or stress, which hormonally stimulates the heart rate, increases blood-sugar levels, and inhibits sensations of fatigue. Whereas the secretion heightens normal physical abilities in normal human beings, in Banner's case it triggers the complex chemical-extra-physical process that transforms him into the Hulk. The total time of transformation falls anywhere between seconds to 5 minutes, depending on the initial adrenalin surge, which will be determined by the original stimulus. Soon after the transformation, the amount of adrenalin in the Hulk will return to more normal, reduced levels. However, there were instances in which Banner became the Hulk without any discernible increase in heart rate or adrenal levels, suggesting that the true trigger mechanism into the Hulk is far more psychological than physical. When the Hulk transforms back into Banner, the excess muscle mass and energy is lost, presumably to the same place he derives it.  As the Hulk's transformation is mostly a stress reaction, it is virtually impossible to attack, wound or sedate him in his human form without the Hulk erupting almost instantaneously in self-defense.  As gamma mutates and their appearance/abilities are affected by their minds to become "metaphor people"; Banner's Hulk form, and to an extent his abilities, change depending on which Hulk/alter is in control. Joe Fixit is weaker but more intelligent and cunning while only coming out at night, the Green Scar is full of wrathful fury while being able to erupt with gamma energy, and the Devil Hulk is more attuned with the mystical nature of gamma allowing him to perform impossible feats like overloading Vibranium, being alive and able to move while dismembered, or smelling lies and seeing into people's souls.
    • Unlimited Superhuman Strength: The Hulk possesses the capacity for essentially limitless physical strength. Hence his might grows exponentially towards infinity without never really reaching it.  In an interview, Jack Kirby revealed that since the conception of the character he intended the Hulk to have unlimited strength.  In actuality, while the highest hierarchical challenges mentally imposed by Banner to the Hulk may not reflect the real characters' power level, it was implied that the Hulk's ultimate potential truly has no limits.  Banner has sometimes cogitated about the Hulk's incalculable strength. In effect, upon actually estimating the Hulk's raw potential, the mighty cosmic entity Beyonder stated outright that the Hulk's strength is intrinsically limitless. The Hulk's uttermost potential is indeed unlimited.  This statement has been endorsed by the cosmic entity Stranger upon probing Hulk's capacity. The Hulk's boundless strength was further supported by the Mad Thinker's inability to calculate its limits, several experts have effectively failed to measure the precise magnitude of the Hulk's brute power, and Hulk's power has been consistently described as immeasurable.  The Hulk's reputation extends beyond Earth, with Skrulls proclaiming him as the strongest mortal on Earth,  the alien leader known as Kurrgo exclaiming that he is the strongest of the Earth's creatures, the cosmic wanderer Silver Surfer recognizing him as the strongest mortal he ever confronted, and the supreme Skyfather Odin reflecting that he is the strongest mortal Thor has ever faced.  However, each of the primary Hulk's personalities possess a base strength level. While functionally calm, the Gray Hulk persona is the weakest whereas the incarnation commonly referred to as the "Green Scar" is the physically strongest of all primary Hulk's incarnations. After being exposed to the energies from the exploding core of the ship that originally brought the Hulk to Sakaar, the Green Scar's base strength level was dramatically increased. The persona known as the Immortal or Devil Hulk is also substantially stronger than most incarnations and presumably rivals the Green Scar, being able to effortlessly outclass the combined might of an Avengers contingent consisting of powerful characters.  However, while in an enraged state, adrenaline surges through the Hulk's body, magnifying his extraordinary strength drastically beyond his standard levels. The Hulk's immeasurable raw strength is directly proportional to his level of rage, excitement, and also stress.  The Hulk also grows even stronger the more radiation and the more dark magic he absorbs.  Finally, as Amadeus Cho theorizes, Bruce Banner subconsciously restrains the Hulk's maximum potential because he quantifies and calculates the external variables so that the Hulk could never hurt someone. Cho corroborates this thesis with a logical analysis of all the Hulk's historical conflicts.  However, if the suppression of Banner's restrictions occurs, the Hulk can neutralize this limitation, such as when he becomes the Worldbreaker.  The Hulk has also performed impressive feats of strength in his career.  Among his amazing feats are supporting a 150 billion ton mountain, overpowering bunker designed to withstand an explosion several thousand megatons in magnitude, knocking out the Human Torch, the Thing and the Invisible Woman, in a classic battle against them, destroying Crypto Man after he was boasted with strength superior than Thor's, consistently matching Thor's physical might in battle, fighting against the Wonder Man, the Iron Man, the Vision and the Scarlet Witch, while narration states that Hulk's power is even greater than their combined might fighting against the West Coast and East Coast Avengers teams during a prolonged period of time despite of being very weakened due to separation from Bruce Banner, almost breaking the East Coast and threating to break the whole planet by the mere output of force from all his body, with the awesome energy becoming work, overcoming a power-depleting machine which contained much of the combined power of himself, the Silver Surfer, the Doctor Strange and Namor, smashing pure adamantium, holding together the entire space-time structure to impede the Defenders of being sucked into a fissure, holding together the tectonic plates of a planet, overcoming a field of pure energy powerful enough to change the orbit of a planet, pushing two enormous spheres of matter and antimatter apart, destroying an asteroid twice the size of Earth due especially to his toughness and, according to Newton's Third Law, to the impulse generated by the contraction of his legs, breaking up the own space-time barrier, cracking the Onslaught's armor, who was at least Celestial level in power, ripping out a device designed to fight against the Celestials, sending concussive force throughout countless dimensions due mostly to his power. The Mighty Thor cited that the Hulk may be stronger.
      • Superhuman Leaping: The Hulk is able to use his highly developed leg muscles to leap great distances.  As the Hulk becomes enraged, his strength increases considerably, which means he can jump farther than usual.  The Hulk has transposed about 1,000 miles with a single leap, and in a single leap he jumped on top of the Mount Olympus from ground level.  On more than one occasion, the Hulk has nearly jumped into the Earth's orbit.  The Hulk even managed to reach Mars' orbit with a single bound.  The Hulk also shows incredible precision with his ability to aim his jumps and landings. He grabbed missiles on multiple occasions and landed on islands barely visible from the height that he fell from.  While calm, the Hulk's leap has been measured to reach 473 mph.
      • Superhuman Strength Utilizations: The Hulk can inhale great quantities of air for several effects. For example, he can expel the air at enormous speeds to knock down forests and armed troops.  This resource also enables the Hulk to defeat several superhuman opponents, such as the Mister Fantastic.  The Hulk can slam his hands together to create a tremendously powerful sonic vibration that propagates through the air and has been compared to the strongest hurricane in history.  This thunderclap has been powerful enough to disperse Sandman's attacks, snuff out Johnny Storm's flame ability, and severely debilitate the Red Hulk.  The Hulk can also hit the ground with his hands or legs to create violent tremors that thwart opponents and destroy structures, being able to produce destructive shockwaves by stomping his foot.  He could also create shockwaves with enough power to shatter glass jars by simply snapping his fingers while possessed by the One Below All.
    • Superhuman Stamina: The Hulk's body counteracts fatigue poisons that build up in his muscles during physical activity. In fact, the Hulk was capable to leap endlessly during an entire day without showing any signs of fatigue.  In an enraged state, the Hulk is capable of exerting himself at peak physical capacity for several weeks before fatigue begins to really affect him.  However, just like his vast physical strength, the Hulk's stamina does increase as he becomes angrier.  In an enraged state, the Hulk was able to successfully stalemate the warrior's madness Thor, a state which temporarily enhances Thor's strength and stamina to 10 times that of his normal state in exchange for adversely affecting his intelligence.  A giant robotic Sentinel has calculated the Hulk's stamina as almost unlimited.  The Hulk, while in his Nul persona, also fought Thor until Thor collapsed exhausted on the ground.
    • Dynamic Durability/Nigh-Invulnerability: In addition to immense strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to physical injury. The Hulk has survived tremendous amount of punishment throughout his career. The Hulk's skin is impervious to conventional blades, Adamantium and Vibranium being strictly the few known metals that can effectively pierce and penetrate his skin. The Hulk was even able to remove Adhesive X from his body without any injury.  This invulnerability extends to the optic system since bullets, grenade shrapnel, Hawkeye's arrows, and even the Valkyrie's enchanted blade Dragonfang did not penetrate nor damage it.  The Hulk is capable of withstanding high caliber bullets, powerful energy blasts, pressures extremes, falls from orbital heights,  maximized heat without blistering, maximized cold without freezing, and also massive impacts. The Hulk has withstood several times the impact of ground zero nuclear explosions, the Human Torch's Nova Blast, with a maximum temperature of one million degrees Fahrenheit, and also the crushing pressures of 100Gs, without suffering damage or harm.  In fact, when the Maestro's Dog O' War, a robot claimed to be able to crush Adamantium in its jaws in 7.3 seconds, had Hulk's exposed neck in its jaws, it was unable to even lacerate his skin before being ripped apart.  In another monumental example of his durability, the Hulk even withstood being subjected to a mechanism capable to easily soften and manipulate Adamantium.  The Hulk was also able to withstand a planet-devastating impact,  a planet-shattering impact at point blank range,  the Galaxy Master's planet-destroying strongest attacks, even when their potency was later amplified ten times, a colossal blow from a Phoenix's empowered Cyclops,  and a mighty blast from a somewhat hungry Galactus.  The Hulk even withstood exposure to magical energy calculated as over 100 times more powerful than Hercules' strongest blows.  The Hulk also withstood a few of the incredibly powerful blows from Zeus when relatively calm.  The full force of the Cyclops's optic blasts, estimated by himself to be powerful enough to rip a small planet in half, only caused minor damage.  The Hulk has also withstood multiple blows from beings such as Thor, and the Abomination, on a regular basis.  The Hulk's durability, much like his physical strength, is fueled by rushes of adrenaline while angry.  This was also exemplified when Wolverine stated during World War Hulk that Hulk's skin was harder to damage, when the Hulk withstood a two times more powerful blast from the Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell) than a blast that had previously damaged him, and when during a battle against Colossus he stated that the harder he hits the Hulk, the less it seems to hurt him.  This was further proven when Wolverine's and Black Panther's claws failed to hurt the Hulk.
    • Self-Regeneration Manipulation:  As a Gamma Mutate with a connection to the Below-Place, Bruce Banner/Hulk learned he possessed an autonoetic commandeering of his own recovery rate and extremital prehensility of his individual biomass, as had others in the past. Once having been pulled apart and put in a collective of several different jars only to compel his body to come back together by sheer force of will.
      • Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite the Hulk's high resistance to physical harm, it is possible to cause the Hulk injury. However, the Hulk is capable of regenerating damaged or destroyed areas of his entire body with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. In fact, the Hulk was able to systematically regenerate his internal organs and tissues in an alternate reality.  He was also able to literally rip off a large fraction of his head allowing it to completely regrow.  In a notorious episode, the Maestro persona molecularly rebuilt his body after being atomized.  The Hulk also demonstrated his exceptional healing capacity when, during a battle with Vector, all of his skin and most of his muscle mass were extracted from his body. The Hulk regained his mass and healed within only seconds.  Even the Omega-Level biokinetic Elixir's death touch could only retard him temporarily.  Most extreme depictions of his healing factor also include reintegrating members isolated from his body.  The Hulk's regenerative healing factor also enables him to resist to physical transmutations.  Additionally, the Hulk heals faster and more extensively the madder he gets.  For example, Scorpion (Carmilla Black) once injected into Hulk's body a chemical substance that counteracts his healing factor. Amadeus Cho then caused the Hulk to get enraged enough for his immune system to repel the substance.  Combined with the Hulk's superhuman durability, it makes him exceedingly difficult to defeat or incapacitate, as noted by Wolverine during their second battle.
      • Disease Immunity: The Hulk is completely invulnerable to all known Earth-based diseases and viruses, including AIDS.   He can operate under intense conditions for prolonged periods of time due to his body not developing fatigue toxins quickly.
      • Decelerated Aging: For all intents and purposes; the Hulk lives indefinitely. Because of an enhanced healing factor, derived from the properties of gamma energy that empowers him, the Hulk has a prolonged lifespan. A possible future persona, the Maestro, was in his physical prime despite being over one hundred years old, further proven when both that worlds Bruce Banner and Mister Immortal were seen as the only two left alive to witness the end of the universe.
    • Body Part Autonomy: In spite of his nervous system being badly dissociated, Banner/Hulk can willingly control each of his individual body parts as if they were still part of his uniformly whole physiology.  Being able to operate his appendages and command his internal organs to move and act according to his will if he so chooses.
    • Superhuman Speed: Regardless of his size, Hulk's superhumanly strong legs allow him to run at speeds that are well beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. In fact, the Hulk's speed is so relatively high that, while tunneling underground from Subterranea to California, the Avengers feared that the Hulk could fracture the San Andreas fault line in a matter of few hours.  In an excellent display of increased velocity, the Hulk easily outperformed an aircraft while on land.  Hulk's astronomical speed extends to his jumps, what allowed him to pursue and reach a space missile.  The Hulk also possesses immense swimming speeds as well. He has been clocked to be swimming at 80 knots, nd has even matched Namor's underwater speed, even while Namor was moving quickly enough to create a whirlpool, much to the Atlantean king's surprise. Referring to the Hulk's formidable speed, Banner pondered that the Hulk is able to run at eye-blurring speeds and swim fast enough to build propulsion. The Hulk has been fast enough to several times capture or intercept mortar shells and missiles shot at him.  The Hulk has also eventually been recognized to be extremely agile proportionally to his size.  In fact, his spectacular reflexes have even been described as "lightning-fast reflexes."   More examples of the Hulk's prodigious combat speed include easily catching the Captain America's shield throw, catching an arrow fired by Hawkeye, hit Quicksilver while he was running at high speeds, pursuing and touching the Silver Surfer while the Surfer was maneuvering at supersonic speeds, while holding back tremendously against physically inferior opponents, he's hit both the Daredevil despite his heightened senses and extraordinary reaction time, and Spider-Man despite Peter's remarkable reflexes, easily dodge bullets and missiles shot from a short distance away, effortlessly capture a bullet in his teeth in mid-transformation, and also regularly match beings with virtually unparalleled combat speed such as Gladiator, Sentry, and the Silver Surfer.  The Hulk has also hit several speedsters, who were operating in an accelerated time flow, before they could even react.
    • Reactive Adaptation: There were several events in the past where the Hulk not only faced extended periods of time in oxygen-deprived outer space without suffocating, but he also frequently spoke in these inhospitable habitats. It was theorized by an LMD of Nick Fury that the Hulk could adapt to the environment of space as an inherent property of his mutation. He based this thesis on accumulated data about the Hulk.  For example, Hulk can harmonize his biological structure with the depths of the ocean.  Fury's hypothesis has been confirmed, since it was stated that the Hulk can adapt to any environment, even airless space.  It is plausible that this ability is enhanced and amplified by the Hulk's rage. Accordingly, it has also been stated that the Hulk does not always need to breathe.
      • Underwater Breathing: The Hulk has been on the ocean floor a number of times. The Hulk is able to breathe due to his body developing a gland which creates an oxygenated perfluorocarbon emulsion which fills his lungs and equalizes the pressure.  He is able to breathe fluid and avoid decompression and nitrogen narcosis.
    • Telepathic Resistance: In many instances the Hulk has demonstrated great psychic resistance as a side-effect of his innate rage and the multiple personalities inside his mind.  When in ideal conditions it is extremely difficult to enslave the Hulk mentally. In parallel, this ability increases with his rage. This was demonstrated when Psyklop managed to enthrall the Hulk initially with his hypnotizing power, but was not able to subjugate an enraged Hulk.  In an example of his mental prowess, the Hulk was even able to survive using the Ultimate Machine, which contained the collective knowledge of an entire universe. While the Leader died, despite his heightened intellect, due to being unable to process the entirety of the information and having his brain overloaded, the Hulk was able to survive using it and find out that Rick Jones was in danger, after which he removed the device and leapt away.  In an astounding exhibition of his telepathic immunity, the Hulk proved to be unaffected by the Xemnu's telepathic assault, which has been powerful enough to mesmerize the entire human population, put a mental block on Doctor Strange to prevent him from using his powers, or even engage the enormously powerful Moondragon in battle.  The Hulk was also the only one able to remember the Sentry after Sentry had used his psionic powers to remove his memories from everyone on the planet. When highly powerful psychics, such as Professor X, could only utilize his psionic powers to find out that their memories had been radically altered and twisted.  The Hulk has withstood telepathic attacks from the powerful Stranger, the Shaper of Worlds, Professor X, Selene, Doctor Strange, , the Leader, Mentallo, the Ringmaster, etc.
    • Extrasensory Perception
      • Astral Form Perception: The Hulk has the unique ability of being able to see "astral forms," or ghosts, and even physically interact with them.  This power has come in handy when working with his fellow Defender, Doctor Strange, who is able to leave his body in an usually invisible, ghost-like state better known as an astral form. Bruce Banner subconsciously feared his father's ghost would come back to haunt him, and so the Hulk developed this mechanism to allow him to look out for him. More recent events have shown that the power to see astral forms may now extend to Bruce Banner. However, it was suggested the clarity of the astral forms is diminished when compared to the Hulk's ability to view them. The Hulk's ability to see astral forms may go beyond just seeing individual spirits. The Hulk once experienced a whole town in the middle of the desert that then faded away into nothing. While it is possible it was merely a mirage, it is possible the Hulk was able to see a town that did not exist in our plane of reality that no one else could see.
      • Homing Ability: The Hulk also has a seemingly mystical homing ability that enables him to locate the area in New Mexico where Banner first became the Hulk.  This applies even if the Hulk is in another dimension. An image of the Maestro once explained to Bruce that the reason he was able to do that was because the Maestro's spirit was there, calling to him.  However, since the time Maestro was resurrected, the Hulk has continued to return to the gamma bomb site, suggesting that there is more to his ability than merely the Maestro's spirit. This homing ability has also been used to find people on rare occasions. For example, the Hulk was able to dig a tunnel underground exactly in the direction of Onslaught.   While it is possible that Onslaught was mentally leading the Hulk to him, there were other instances of the Hulk demonstrating this ability. The Hulk's instincts led him to Rick Jones and Betty, and the Hulk located the Abomination with no prior knowledge of his whereabouts.  The Hulk was also able to know that the Vision was approaching while inside an underground tunnel, even though he could neither hear nor see the intangible Avenger's approach.
    • Gamma Radiation/Energy Manipulation and Emission: Not usually a power associated with the Hulk, but there is enough evidence that Hulk possesses at least a limited ability to manipulate forms of energy, particularly gamma radiation. The Hulk's body works like a "gamma battery" by constantly creating and radiating gamma energy.  The Troyjan emperor Armageddon once wanted to employ the Hulk's own gamma radiation to power machines to revive his dead son again. However, the Hulk outsmarted him by consciously force feeding his energy into these machines at a rate too fast for them to handle, and they promptly overloaded and exploded. The Hulk also generated massive amounts of gamma radiation during World War Hulk, and produced considerable quantity while in the Dark Dimension.  The Hulk has also shown the ability to redirect gamma rays unleashed towards him. When the Avengers used the Gammatron Bombarder device on him, the Hulk deflected the blast at the device and destroyed it.  During the battle against the Galaxy Master, Hulk resisted and reflected the enemy's "gamma bombardment" attacks, and further demonstrated a beam-shaped projection of gamma energy by using the accumulated gamma energy within himself against the entity.  The Hulk is also able to absorb gamma energy. As Bruce Banner, he absorbed the tremendous amount of energy stored aboard the Intelligencia's Helicarrier.  As the Hulk, he has demonstrated the ability to absorb gamma radiation as he drained the second Red Hulk, Sasquatch, and Rebecca Green of their gamma energy.  The Hulk even managed to absorb the gamma radiation of several nuclear bombs, which made him grow to a huge size, to the point where he became much larger than Fin Fang Foom.  The exact extent to which the Hulk controls his own gamma radiation, and also extrinsic sources of gamma radiation, has yet to be established.
    • Optic Blast: After the malevolent personality known as Titan took control of the Hulk persona was about to fight The Abominations, the personality increased the Hulk's rage to a level that he gave out huge amounts of energy from his eyes.
    • Super-Genius Intelligence: Doctor Bruce Banner is a super-genius in nuclear physics, possessing a mind so brilliant that it cannot be measured by any known intelligence test.  Hence he is capable of extraordinary feats of intellect, such as to successfully reprogram an advanced and especially sophisticated computer system (intended to be used to rule the world) in a matter of seconds.  In effect, Banner even accomplished to infect a computer system with a virus which even Tony Stark, employing his skills, was unable to counteract.  Banner is regarded by Tony Stark as the most brilliant nuclear scientist (presumably on the planet), and another description corroborates Tony's statement upon indicating that Banner is the greatest nuclear scientist in the world.  Banner also has expertise in several additional fields, such as engineering, architecture, and biology.  Banner was referred as the only true expert on radiation-based mutation.  He was once estimated as the fourth smartest person on the planet, Doctor Doom considers him a genius unparalleled in certain fields, even Reed Richards recognizes him as one of the most intelligent people on Earth.
    • Master Combatant: The Hulk is a skillful and capable warrior, demonstrating vast versatility and intuition in the battle, like anticipating and exploiting the weakness of Hyperion.   The Hulk has consistently faced warriors with experience in combat, such as Thor, Executioner, and Hercules.  As the Green Scar, he has had training in multiple combat arms, including broadswords, spears, and battle shields.  As Doc Green, he received martial arts training from the expert martial artist Daniel Rand.
    • Indomitable Will: The Hulk has an enduring and unbreakable willpower under extreme conditions. If his loved ones are threatened or the battle is so heated that it requires his dynamic strength to be explored further, he will strive to subdue his foes no matter how powerful they are or how uneven are the odds. In one occasion, when the Defenders were captured and imprisoned in a power-draining machinery, the Hulk was the only one capable to unearth an unfathomable hidden willpower and increase his strength sufficiently to destroy the machinery and save everyone.  n a fierce battle against the Abomination, despite being initially overwhelmed by the superior might of the Abomination, once Betty was threatened his strength grew dramatically to overpower his foe.  In yet another combat against the Abomination, Blonsky's strength was restored to its original levels by the mighty Galaxy Master. Despite being initially subjugated, the Hulk's strength dynamically increased ensuring his victory.
    • Self-Restraint: When Banner is the Hulk he can influence the Hulk's behavior to a limited extent. However, several facts indicate that Banner subconsciously restrains the Hulk.  For example, the Hulk asked for Jean Grey to psionically shut Bruce Banner off so that the Hulk's sheer power could be unleashed against the threat of Onslaught. Moreover, the Hulk has further stated that Banner's constraints prevent him from destroying the planet. In another occasion, Iron Man has also deduced that Bruce Banner exerts a moderating influence on the Hulk.   In a classical combat between Thor and the Hulk, at one point it is narrated that Banner was suppressed.  Doctor Samson has pondered that, while extensive destruction was caused by the Hulk, he never killed a single soul confronting the army.  The Immortal Hulk recognized that Amadeus Cho's hypothesis about Banner exercising subconscious control on the Hulk is plausible, though it works only for the other classic incarnations of the Green Goliath.  Upon being subjected to the Nightmare's machinations, the Hulk also aroused his uncontrollable inner savagery, revealing that Banner had lost ascendancy over the Hulk, which ultimately resulted in Banner's psychic suicide.  In yet another instance, the Professor X, before an imminent confrontation between the Hulk and the X-Men, scanned the Hulk's mind and discovered that Banner was in control and the Hulk posed no threat, which was soon confirmed by the team.
    • Multilingual: Banner learned Russian while getting his Ph.D.  He also speaks Austro-Bavarian.

Battle Breakdown: Holy moly guys, do we have an epic and titanic fight on our hands.  All I am going to say, wherever the fight takes, massive amounts of destruction will take place.

As always, who do you guys think will win, Black Adam or the Incredible Hulk?  I hope you guys enjoy this fight and I'll see you guys next time.  PEACE!!!

I mean he pretty much can go up against Superman pretty much so i think prob can kick Hulks ass

True, Black Adam can go toe to toe with the likes of Superman, but the Hulk has held his own against Thor who IMO is just as strong as Superman.
