MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers, Since Christmas is just 10 days away, I've decided to treat you guys to an early Christmas gift. Today's matchup is: Lobo, the Main Man from DC Comics versus the Mad Titan himself from Marvel Comics, Thanos. LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!! Lobo Real Name: Unpronounceable First Appearance: Omega Men Vol. 1 #3 (June, 1983) Origin: Lobo, whose name comes from a Khund dialect and means "one who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it," is the last of his people for one reason: he killed them all. He hailed from the planet Czarnia which was a virtual paradise that knew nothing of war and the Czarnians were almost immortal. When Lobo was born, his evil was so frighteningly apparent, the nurse who delivered him went insane and became the planet's first mental patient in ten millennia after the infant Lobo chewed off four of her fingers. Lobo knew he was one of a kind, but he wanted even more. Inspired by the idea of genocide, Lobo created a swarm of lethal scorpion-like creatures, he set them on his people wiping out his entire species but himself. He claimed it was a science project and gave himself an 'A'. Since then he has traveled the galaxies collecting bounties. Despite his ruthless nature, Lobo has a strict code of honor when it comes to these agreements. Along the way he has met and battled a number of superheroes. Here are his powers, abilities, skills, and weapons: Powers Czarnian Physiology: It is said that Czarnians can only be truly killed by other Czarnians (though this does not matter to Lobo either way, as he cannot die by any means). Lobo can survive unaided in the vacuum of space. Vast Superhuman Strength: Lobo possesses vast amounts of superhuman strength, he can easily punch through most earthly and alien materials, as he showed enough strength to break Deathstroke's Nth Metal armor, rip human beings to pieces with his bare hands, and during the years he has exchanged blows with the likes of Superman and Devastator. As a matter of fact, Lobo has shown strength sufficient enough to knock out Superman with his blows without too much apparent effort. He has even shown enough strength to destroy entire planets. Lobo has been shown to be on par with Superman in terms of strength. Super-Leaping Superhuman Stamina: He possesses inexhaustible stamina and in most interpretations cannot tire. Superhuman Senses Enhanced Sense of Smell Immortality: Lobo is functionally immortal and cannot die no matter what happens. He is immune to the effects of aging and disease and has been banned from entering either Heaven or Hell. Invulnerability: He has shrugged off blows from the likes of Superman with no damage, taken planet-destroying attacks without so much as a scratch, and he possesses some resistance against most magic spells and attacks. Superhuman Speed: Lobo possesses the ability to sharpen his awareness and increase his temporal flow, appearing to move faster than humanly possible. He can move at incredible speeds. Self-Sustenance: Lobo does not need any food, water, air, or sleep and he can survive in the vacuum of space without any harm. Regeneration: If Lobo does somehow sustain an injury, his accelerated healing enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue instantly, with little apparent pain. He will apparently heal from any injury. For instance, he has survived having his head blown off by Batman, with his head fully healing in minutes. Lobo can also regenerate out of a pool of his own blood, apparently recycling the cells instantly. Bio-Fission: If Lobo spills even a drop of blood, that drop can become a completely new Lobo. This ability was later removed by Vril Dox but since then it appears to have been restored. Thermal Immunity: According to Lobo's own words, he "ride through the cold of space and the heat of blazing suns". Once he withstood a flaming attack which killed dozens of Thunderers of Qward around him. Toxic Immunity: Lobo has become completely invulnerable to the poison of his flying scorpions. Possession: Due to Lobo being banned from the afterlife, if Lobo's body dies his spirit may wonder the earth. With this he can possess other beings, and even repossess his own body, no matter what state it's in. Abilities Genius Level Intellect: As unbelievable as it may seem, despite his violent and loutish nature, Lobo seems to have a genius-level intellect in matters of destruction and violence. He can create complex virulent agents and the necessary antidotes to them such as the one he let loose on Czarnia, resulting in the deaths of the entire population in the span of one week. He was also able to scavenge parts from a destroyed time hopper and attach them to his own bike, producing a working time machine. Mechanical Aptitude Tracking: The tracking ability allows him to trace any prey across even the Universe. Multilingualism: By his own account, Lobo can speak 17,897 different languages from across the galaxy. Morse Code: Lobo can communicate in Morse Code Expert Combatant: Lobo is a proficient hand-to-hand combatant, being able to hold his own against such accomplished fighters as Superman, Batman, Aquaman, and Etrigan. Marksmanship: When someone yelled that Lobo was shooting and going crazy, Jonas Glim stated that every shot is carefully place with Lobo. Lobo then proves this by shooting down a weight to crush the man that insulted him. This feat is even more impressive when you add the fact that Lobo was using a full auto firearm when he did this. Indomitable Will: According to Lobo's own words, a power ring is powered by willpower, and no one has more willpower than himself. He once used his own willpower in conjunction with his fabulous strength to break a force field created by G'nort. Weapons Chained Hook: Though he employs a wide arsenal of firearms, explosives and blades, Lobo's signature weapon is a large hook on a chain. Aside from use as a weapon, he also uses it to tie up opponents or drag them behind his bike. "Frag" grenades Lobo has already been shown carrying countless other weapons, as a laser weapon[52], a large knife, and even a guilt grenade Thanos Real Name: Thanos First Appearance: Iron Man Vol. 1 #55 (October, 1972) Backstory: Thanos was one of the last sons of A'Lars, progenitor of the second colony of Eternals on Titan, and Sui-San, the last survivor of the original settlement of Eternals in this moon. He was born with purple, hide-like skin and a massive body due to his Deviant Syndrome. The very first time his mother laid her eyes on the baby, she was driven mad and tried to kill him. After that, the Cosmic Ghost Rider from an alternate future came to kill the baby, but when the Penance Stare didn't work on Thanos, the Rider decided to take the baby under his wing and change the future. he Rider tried to convince Galactus to help him raise the baby, but the cosmic being refused and instead wanted to kill the baby himself. With the Watcher bearing witness, the Rider vowed to raise the baby on his own, creating an alternate timeline where Thanos grew to become an interplanetary dictator. he Guardians of the Galaxy of said timeline tried to prevent their future by stopping Frank, but he, and eventually baby Thanos, killed them all. They were subsequently greeted by Thanos' future self, who sported the same clothes Frank used as the Punisher. He brought both of them to his future, showing Frank the authoritarian world he had built on his example, including a past version of himself living with his wife Maria. Realizing the consequences of his intervention in his life, Frank killed the future Thanos and returned his baby self to the past, erasing the alternate timeline. Death appeared before Frank to confirm that his actions had nonetheless instilled the baby Thanos with the bloodlust that would make him her agent. Thanos grew up to have an introvert nature, but despite this and his unusual appearance, Thanos was well accepted by his peers. He was a mild-mannered intellectual that dreamed of becoming a scientist like his neglectful father. However, signs of his true nature started to creep up early on. For instance, he liked to draw dead animals despite vomiting at the prospect of performing a dissection. Thanos' life reached a tipping point when a mysterious girl convinced him to explore with his friends a dangerous cave to overcome his fear of killing. A cave-in separated Thanos from his friends for three days, during which he refused to even think of murdering the inoffensive creatures that lurked underground for sustenance. When he found his friends, they had been killed by the animals living in the caves. After Thanos returned to society, the same girl convinced him to go back to the cave and slaughter the critters in revenge. By the time he was a teenager, Thanos excelled academically and learned faster than he was ever taught. He began to vivisect creatures in secret in order to gain knowledge while searching for an answer to his abnormal genetic makeup. The girl that had helped him overcome his fear of killing became his confidante. Thanos' search for answers escalated into killing fellow Titanians, carrying out the first murders in the history of Titan. Despite declaring that his first two murders were going to be the last, Thanos eventually killed again, and found out that he enjoyed it. Thanos fell in love with his confidante, who enabled and further motivated and Thanos' actions, but she rejected his advances. After murdering seventeen people in total, Thanos killed his mother in hopes of finding in her body the key to who he was, both spiritually and physically. At some point, Mephisto approached Thanos and convinced him to go to Earth and fight the Prehistoric Avengers. He left Titan afterwards, swore off killing, and found a menial job with a pirate crew with whom he explored the cosmos. As years went by, Thanos became detached and unemotional. In many different planets, he would find a partner and mate with them in hopes to feel something again, to no avail. He always abandoned them and the babies they bore him. Thanos eventually came into conflict with his captain in the pirate crew due to his disinclination for murdering. In an act of complete instinct, Thanos slaughtered him, and subsequently seized control of his crew. Thanos decided to embrace his murdering nature and returned to Titan in secret. He was approached by his old confidante and tried to court her again. She demanded that Thanos proved he belonged only to her, so he embarked on a journey to kill all of his offspring and razed every planet they stumbled upon for the sake of his love for death. Additionally, Thanos experimented on his own body, granting himself a variety of powers. Thanos' confidante became his companion, and eventually declared that for her to love Thanos, he would have to become a god, a supreme destroyer above all else. After Thanos discovered that none in his crew could see her, she revealed her true nature, that she was the physical manifestation of Death itself. Driven mad by this revelation, Thanos gave in to Death's promises of romance and used his fleet to ravage Titan. Once his armada bombarded Titan, Thanos personally descended to murder the survivors. He was confronted by the elder A'Lars, who managed to make Thanos doubt whether Death was actually by his side or if he was simply demented. Thanos spared his father solely so he could watch his son defile the cosmos and prove his sanity. Death finally kissed Thanos, but he found her embrace to be cold. Without his thirst quenched, Thanos continued his journey of destruction. Here are his powers, abilities, and skills: Titanian Eternal Physiology: By far the strongest and most powerful Eternal from Titan, Thanos is a superhuman mutant whose massive, heavy-bodied form was born with the capacity to synthesize cosmic energy for certain personal uses. The mad titan has increased his powers through bionic amplification, mystical enhancement and as a result of being resurrected by Death itself. He was deemed a Category 1 Life Ender by the Nova Corps, to have an "universal" threat level and to have been a one-time reality ender. Being seemingly categorized as a Cosmic-level threat, being sent by the Shi'ar Imperial Guard to the core cell of a galactic gulag. Godlike Strength: Thanos possesses vast superhuman strength the full limits of which aren't known. Death has increased his strength beyond their original limits to levels rivaling or surpassing those of the physically strongest Eternals. He has proven capable of fighting Thor even when he had the Power Gem. His strength is so vast that he has been able to defeat the likes of the Silver Surfer, punch away an attacking Hulk, physically subduing with ease Beta Ray Bill and Ronan the Accuser (as well as casually breaking apart the latter's Universal Weapon), and, most impressively, wrestle with the mighty Tyrant, although only by being additionally empowered by an external power source. He was also able to beat in melee fight the Hulk power-enhanced Annihilus. Thanos can also augment his strength with his cosmic energy when needed. Thanos was also able to lift the Galactus Engine and recover it from the depths of Ego the Living Planet, destroy a planet in a battle with Drax (in his first incarnation), he was even able to fight hand-to-hand with a Phoenix Force empowered Thane with amped with the God Quarry. Thanos punched Thane into the planet they were fighting above and destroyed it by charging through him. Superhuman Agility: Despite his great size, Thanos' agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. His agility is roughly equal to that of the average Eternal. He was able to dodge a Power Gem enhanced Champion of the Universe. Superhuman Reflexes: Thanos' reaction time is enhanced to a level that is beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Like his agility, his reflexes are about average for an Eternal. Superhuman Stamina: Thanos' musculature produces almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity. As a result, he has nearly superhuman stamina in all physical activities. Nigh-Invulnerability: Before his "death", Thanos possessed an impressive degree of resistance to physical injury, even compared to other Eternals. After his resurrection, Death increased his ability to resist injury to a much greater degree and he is nigh invulnerable. He has withstood at point blank range planet-destroying attacks without any harm. He has withstood blasts from the Silver Surfer unharmed. He withstood a battering from an enraged, Power Gem-wielding Thor with nothing but a bloody nose. He possesses such an incredible resistance to injury that he has been shown to survive point-blank blasts from Odin and Galactus. Thanos has withstood three full screams from Black Bolt, one at point-blank range, without any significant damage. He survived being subjected to an artificial singularity. He also withstood being stabbed on the chest by Wolverine's Adamantium claws without exhibiting any discomfort. Immortality: Thanos, like all Eternals, is immortal in the sense that he is immune to all known diseases and infections and is immune to the effects of aging. Thanos is banned by Death itself from entering its realm, rendering him truly immortal. He is able to die but he will always return, no matter the severity of any injury. Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his extraordinary durability, it is possible to injure Thanos. Like all Eternals, however, Thanos is capable of regenerating damaged tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than a human being. His healing powers aren't as developed as those of some Eternals. Some Eternals are capable of regenerating any destroyed tissue. Given the circumstances of his death at the hands of Drax the Destroyer during the Annihilation event, Thanos is unable to regenerate missing organs, such as a heart. Energy Manipulation & Projection: Thanos has displayed great versatility in the use of his energy projection abilities. He has demonstrated the ability to project pure energy as a concussive force, "magnetic" energy, infrared heat-beams from his eyes, and disruptor beams, unilaterally striking separate targets with his optic blasts, as well as using his mental link to his techno-mystical chair to form vastly powerful energy shields, barriers, and force-fields but proven himself to be able to project some form of shields and barriers on his own. The exact extent of Thanos' energy projection abilities are unknown, but his blasts have been capable of knocking down the likes of the Hulk, and Thor, and to temporarily defeat four alternate incarnations of the Silver Surfer with a simple casual blast. He was also able to graze Galactus armor and blast the Devourer of Worlds off his feet and send him across the moon. By collaborating with the In-Betweener they together released the latter from his prison created by Master Order and Lord Chaos. Telepathy: Thanos possesses strong psionic abilities. His mind is invulnerable to most forms of psychic attack and proven to be immune to mind gem. Thanos has demonstrated the ability to successfully defend himself against psychic assaults from Moondragon, and Mantis. He also managed to shut down the Maker's mind, turned the Fallen One into his herald, made the Hulk attack his fellow Avengers, and forced Conner Sims (the Anti-Man) to destroy his surroundings. Thanos also once attempted to destroy the mind of Drax the Destroyer with a powerful psychic attack called the Time-Mind Sync Warp, that plunges the victim's mind into a psychedelic dimension of insanity, causing death or incapacitation. Matter Manipulation & Control: Thanos has demonstrated some ability to manipulate matter on the atomic level, similarly to Earthborn Eternals. On one occasion, he turned the Skrull Skragg, into stone. He also used his matter manipulation ability on Moondragon to purge the muscle controlling parasites implanted by Annihilus from her body. Mystic Capabilities: Thanos is skilled in magic, as he has cursed Deadpool with immortality. Flight: Thanos has shown that he is capable of flying. Teleportation: Thanos can teleport himself across unknown distances through his link with his techno-mystical transport chair. Like all Eternals he is also able to teleport on his own. When stranded in space with Terraxia, he could neither fly, nor teleport to his rescue, presumably because his chair got destroyed in the struggle before. Abilities & Skills Super-Genius Intelligence: Possibly Thanos' most dangerous ability is his mind. Thanos' intellect is dedicated to enhancing his own powers and to the annihilation of all life. Thanos is a genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding contemporary Earth science. He has also shown to quickly adapt to new battle situations, as shown in his fight with the Champion of the Universe, who outclassed him physically and whom he beat by dancing around him, blasting him with energy attacks and tricking him into destroying the planet they fought on. Thanos has remarked that, compared to himself, Bruce Banner's intelligence is only great for human standards. Skilled Unarmed Combatant: Although he typically avoids physical combat, Thanos is a highly formidable hand to hand combatant, having been trained in the Arts of War on Titan and having millennia of combat experiences. He is particularly skillful at using a combination of his physical and energy manipulative abilities during combat. He is also a skilled swordsman, being able to overwhelm a Mjolnir-wielding Silver Surfer. Mystical Knowledge: He also has great knowledge of arcane and mystical lore. Battle Breakdown: Man oh man. Do we have a crazy epic battle on our hands here or what folks? We have a fight between two legendary and immortal powerhouses. IMO, it is going to come down to one of the two underestimating the other. As always, who do you guys think wins? Is it Lobo or Thanos? I hope you guys enjoy this matchup and I'll see you guys next time. PEACE!!!
MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers, Welcome back to Fantasy Fights 2.0. I hope everyone is enjoying the new year so far. Anyways, here we go. Today's matchup is: Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) VS. Terrax the Tamer LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Captain Marvel Real Name: William Joseph Batson First Appearance: Whiz Comics Vol. 1 #2 (February, 1940) Origin: Billy Batson was born in New York City in 1930. When he was approximately six months old, his parents were killed in a car crash, and Billy went to live with his uncle, Ebenezer Batson. Uncle Eben wanted nothing to do with the boy, and eventually kicked him out of the house, forcing him to fend for himself on the city streets. By 1940, Billy had managed to secure himself a part-time job as a newsboy. One evening as Billy was hawking newspapers, a strange shadowy man in a long coat approached him. He beckoned Billy to follow him, and led him underground into a dilapidated subway station. A driverless subway car unlike any Billy had ever seen before, roared to the platform and the two got on board. The car sped off deeper underground, bringing them to a vast cavern known as the Rock of Eternity. Billy disembarked and both the subway train and the cloaked stranger disappeared. Before him Billy saw two rows of statues lining each side of the cavern. Each statue was forged in the likeness of a horrific monster, representing the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man. At the anterior of the cavern, he found an old man with a flowing white beard sitting on a stone throne. Above him was a large boulder suspended from the ceiling of the cavern by a tiny, fraying thread. The old man introduced himself as a wizard named Shazam, and told Billy that he had been chosen to be his champion against injustice. The wizard lit a brazier to the left of the throne, illuminating the names of six mythological elders inscribed on the wall behind it; Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. He explained that each of these elders would bestow an aspect of their power unto Billy, and all the boy had to do to acquire such power was to speak the wizard's name. Billy spoke the name "Shazam", and a bolt of mystic lightning struck down from nowhere transforming the ten-year-old boy into a powerful, muscle-bound man. Shazam christened his new champion as Captain Marvel and saluted him. Moments after the startling transformation, the thread securing the boulder above Shazam's head snapped, and the rock came down, crushing the wizard. Shazam's spirit rose from the debris and told Billy that his ghost would always be present inside the Rock of Eternity, should the neophyte hero ever need his guidance. Honoring his commitment to the wizard, Billy Batson became the World's Mightiest Mortal – Captain Marvel. Here are his powers and abilities: Powers Living Lightning Empowerment: Billy was granted the power of the Living Lightning by the Wizard, Shazam, containing the distilled aspects of powers bestowed to him by six divine entities from deals brokered by the Wizard himself; these powers are activated by saying the magical word "SHAZAM", in which each letter is the first letter of each god's name combined: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury. Additionally, he is empowered as a Champion of Magic. Transformation: The Living Lightning transforms Billy Batson into an adult form at his physical and mental peak by verbally saying "SHAZAM". In order to transform, Billy must say the words with actual intention to transforming. While transformed, he possess powers from his benefactors: S for the Wisdom of Solomon: Solomon was the third king of united Israel in historical times. According to the Bible God blessed him with supernatural wisdom at his request to lead Israel. Captain Marvel has instant access to a vast amount of knowledge. The wisdom of Solomon is sometimes known as the Wisdom of the Ancients. Captain Marvel has superhuman clairvoyance and awareness. He is provided with counsel and advice in times of need. Captain Marvel has knowledge of all languages, ancient and modern warfare, and can hypnotize or enchant people with his power. The power of wisdom lends him knowledge far beyond mortal comprehension. Superhuman Knowledge: Captain Marvel has exceptional photographic recall and mental acuity allowing him to read and decipher hieroglyphics, recall everything he has ever learned and solve long mathematical equations. Instantaneously he can make intuitive guesses based on limited data; to the point his guesses are almost always correct; also he has a great understanding of divine phenomenon in the mortal world. Clairvoyance: Captain Marvel possesses an uncanny awareness of his circumstances that allows him to turn disadvantages into advantages. Hypnosis: Through sheer power and magic he can hypnotize people for length of time (undetermined). Only those of great willpower can overcome this ability. Omni-lingual: He can speak every language known to humans as well as ancient or dead languages and is able to understand aliens. Good Conscious: Marvel always has help from Solomon with making decisions, an example would be when he wanted to divulge the info of his identity to the JSA, Solomon strongly advised against it. H for the Strength of Hercules: Billy is empowered with Hercules' nearly limitless superhuman-strength which is often compared to that of Superman. As such, Captain Marvel's strength is of the highest level and is sufficiently vast enough that it enables him to lift/move unbelievably massive and/or heavy objects possibly on a planetary scale or higher with little effort. Because his strength level is so high and potentially dangerous, Billy Batson constantly uses great restraint, thus he usually only uses as much strength or force as is necessary to accomplish whatever his given task or challenge requires. Because of this he is not often seen moving objects of a planetary scale though accomplishing such tasks are well within his abilities. Superhuman Strength: Captain Marvel has the ability to lift well over 100 tons with minimal effort and has battled top tier beings such as Superman, Wonder Woman and Black Adam. Captain Marvel has stalemated Superman in an arm wrestling contest and has at least matched Wonder Woman in raw strength. He can also lift a UFO in space and throw it like a frisbee. The limits, if there actually are any, of Captain Marvel's strength are unknown. A for the Stamina of Atlas: The Titan known as Atlas had limitless endurance. Atlas cradled the Earth for time immemorial. He can overcome tremendous physical resistance. This superhuman ability lends to his ability to stay as Captain Marvel for elongated periods of time, survive in space and fight seemingly endless battles such as his fight with Black Adam. Self-Sustenance: He does not need to eat, sleep, or breathe Superhuman Stamina: His incredible metabolism endows him with practically infinite endurance and inexhaustible stamina. Z for the Power of Zeus: Zeus was Olympus's high father and the god of magical lightning bolts. Zeus' power, besides fueling the magic thunderbolt that transform Captain Marvel, also enhances Captain Marvel's other physical and magical abilities. This power reinforces his physical invulnerability and resistance against magic spells and attacks. Captain Marvel can use the magical lightning as a weapon. He can summon Zeus's lighting bolts to strike his opponents. Zeus's lightning may be used to create mythic apparatus, restore damage done to Marvel, and act as a power source for magical spells. He knocked Superman unconscious with the speed of Mercury and with his fists wrapped in lighting bolts. Magical Resistance: This boosts his Invulnerability and Endurance powers to god-like levels. Making him only affected by the most potent of spells and abilities. Physical Enhancement: His muscles, height increase, weight, mass and all physical properties that differ from Billy Batson's are a magical enhancement. Electrokinesis: Shazam is able to generate and manipulate the "living lightning", which is the magical lightning that transforms him into Shazam. He can project the energy from his fingertips and even use the lightning bolt as a weapon by dodging it and allowing it to strike an opponent or other target. Electro-Blast: Shazam can discharge powerful blasts and arcs of electricity from his hands or his entire body, and attack foes with it. Magic: While in his transformed state, the Wizard expressed he can weave spells for various purposes. While not well-versed in his spell-casting capabilities, he showcased some skills within it by using the Book of Champions to cast precise spells. Additionally, Billy's status as a "Champion of Magic" allows him to alter the intentions of spells at his beckon. Magic of Shazam: Billy Batson is proficient in utilizing the spell-casting system, the Magic of Shazam, derived from the Wizard and the past members who sat on the Council of Eternity. He learned various spells through looking the Book of Champion. Sharing Spell: As Captain Marvel, Billy can share a portion of his magical powers with anyone akin to family that he so chooses, giving both similar and different powers of their own based on their personalities. The Wizard considers this "sharing spell" the greatest of Billy's powers. Size Alteration: Captain Marvel has used a spell to shrink down to the size of Mister Mind, in order to fight him inside his father's head. Summoning: By saying "Ala-Ka-Zamm!" Captain Marvel was able to summon a ping-pong table into the Justice League Headquarters. Thermal-Blast: Through a spell, Captain Marvel was able to ignite a blast of Superboy-Prime's ice breath into flames, and redirect the blast at him. Dimensional Travel: Captain Marvel can access the Rock of Eternity whenever he wants, which sits at the center of the Multiverse. Captain Marvel was also able to forcibly transport the Wizard to the Rock of Eternity through a bolt of his lightning. Advanced Healing: If he is injured in battle he may call on the magical lightning to heal himself and mend wounds. If wounded, his divine and supernatural energies enable him to recover at other worldly speed. A for the Courage of Achilles: Captain Marvel has heroic levels of inner strength from which to draw. He has the courage of the Greek Hero Achilles which in battle and while in the Captain Marvel form allows him to wield great bravery and spirit. Captain Marvel is blessed with an innate and harmonious good will. A divine cheerfulness that is characterized by his trademark grin. It gives him a perseverance that pushes him to always confront a challenge with a knowing optimism. Invulnerability: His magical body is nearly invulnerable to any outside attack or extraneous force. He withstood a punch from an enraged Superman without any noticeable pain and injury afterwards and has clashed with Superboy-Prime without any major damage. He even managed to survive being turned inside out in the vacuum of space and return to normal. He commented that none of the other heroes present such as Superman, Wonder Woman, or Power Girl would have survived such an assault. In particular, Superman is impressed at how Captain Marvel, whose powers are based on magic and the Gods, is much better suited against supernatural threats than he himself would ever be. Optimism: With the Courage of Achilles combined with the Wisdom of Solomon and the boyish personality of Billy Batson this creates a certain kind of optimism of which Captain Marvel is supremely known for. Able to smile down most opponents and using his powers in special ways other than fighting, Captain Marvel will forever remain the staple "boy scout". This also allowed him to withstand the effects of Scarecrow's Fear Toxin while in his adult transformed state by accepting his fears and conquering it through courage and willpower. M for the Speed of Mercury: By channeling Mercury's speed, Captain Marvel can easily fly and move at speeds far exceeding Mach 10 (2 miles a second) while in earth's atmosphere. This is far from his limit as the Speed of Mercury allows him to move at speeds faster than light. Just like Black Adam, his reflexes and speed enhance the impact of his uncharted physical strength. Thanks to the power of Mercury, Marvel flies as swiftly as the messenger god of Greek and Roman myth. Superhuman Speed: Captain Marvel can fly and/or run at incredible speeds. Captain Marvels speed is said to surpass even that of Superman and rival that of the Flash, and can move at several times the speed of sound while running, swimming, and even performing "mundane tasks." He was able to fly at the speed of light alongside the Flash (Wally West). Flight: Captain Marvel can also mystically fly through the atmosphere. This enables him to soar effortlessly sub-orbital levels and travel across the planet in blinding speed. He can travel through space, but has sometimes uses devices to ease communication during interstellar travel. Superhuman Reflexes: Captain Marvel's reflexes are heightened to superhuman levels. He has even reacted to the likes of Superman in battle. Abilities Genius Level Intellect: Thanks to the wisdom of Solomon, Marvel has a vast array of knowledge on many topics. When Superman asked if he was a scholar, Captain Marvel replied that he "just knows things." Charisma: Another facet of his intelligence is ability to talk his way out of situations, as a man with an unprecedented amount of wisdom, he prefers to talk, rather than fight. Once Captain Marvel was able to reason with the goddess Heqt and persuade her to cause no more trouble with the humanity. Even without the wisdom, he's a charismatic kid, which in no short part has lead to a successful career as a reporter. Even those not native to Fawcett City have remarked how charming he is. Music: As Captain Marvel, he's shown at least competence with an electric guitar, knowing exactly how to make the noises that would harm Venusians. One employee at the music studio he recorded at compared him to Jimi Hendrix. Occultism: Captain Marvel knows much of the magical world, its creatures and their behaviors. Throwing: As Marvel, Billy remarked that he had a 'pitchers arm', allowing him to throw objects a far distance and later threw a man in such a way to pin down another man. Swimming: As Marvel, Billy remarked that he had a 'pitchers arm', allowing him to throw objects a far distance and later threw a man inn such a way to pin down another man. Intimidation: Billy once befriended a shy and reserved kid named Brian Bronsky. Upon realizing the boy was beaten and abused by his father, Billy as Captain Marvel visited Mr. Bronsky and delivered a deeply intimidating speech, scaring the man into turning over a new leaf. Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced): Billy was trained by Batman in hand-to-hand combat, allowing him to be a capable fighter even without the form of Captain Marvel. Billy has also been shown to have knowledge of street fighting, which aided in his first defeat over Black Adam. As Captain Marvel, Billy is an incredibly adept and creative fighter with a great sense of battleground awareness, as seen in how he used the environment to his advantage in his battle against the Arson Fiend and in the way he weaponized his thunder against an Eclipso-possessed Superman. Furthermore, Captain Marvel was able to match the demonic warrior Sabbac blow-for-blow early within his career. Terrax the Tamer Real Name: Tyros First Appearance: Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #211 (June, 1979) Origin: Tyros was originally the dictator of the small city-state Lanlak (originally called Terran) on the world of Birj, a moon of the gas giant Marman in a solar system eighty thousand light years from Earth. Tyros ruled through the use of his limited power over earth and rock. This power, which apparently was a mutation unique to Tyros, enabled him to animate constructs of stone, which would patrol his kingdom maintaining his firm control. Tyros loved power and conquest, and led a life of debauchery and violence. Somehow, he came to the attention of Galactus, the World Devourer. Here are his powers, abilities, and weapon: Powers Mutant powers: He possessed the natural mutant ability of geokinesis, enhanced by Galactus' transformation: Earth Manipulation: Terrax's telekinetic psionic ability to manipulate the molecules of rock and earth has been augmented by Galactus' transformation at least a hundredfold. Terrax can move planetary masses up to 100 miles in diameter. He can move asteroids of 10 miles in diameter at speeds of up to thousands of miles per hour. He can control the direction of a swarm of meteors within 100 miles of his person. Through concentration, he can affect a small piece of matter 1000 miles away from him. The farther the distance, however, the less mass he is able to affect. Standing on a planetary surface, he can affect tectonic plates sufficiently to cause earthquakes and create chasms in the surface thousands of feet deep or wide. Deploying his powers to the maximum extent, he can separate a landmass the size of Manhattan Island and levitate it miles off the Earth's surface. On worlds with lesser gravity, he can lift even greater masses. Power Cosmic: After becoming Galactus' herald, Terrax was imbued with a fraction of the Power Cosmic, making him a Cosmic level threat, enhancing his mutant powers and granting him several other abilities: Vast Superhuman Strength: Like all of Galactus' heralds, Terrax is superhumanly strong and is capable of lifting about 75 tons without supplementing his strength with his cosmic energy. However, while supplementing his strength, Terrax is temporarily capable of lifting somewhere well in excess of 100 tons. Superhuman Speed: Despite his great size and bodily density, Terrax can run and move at speeds superior to that of the finest human athlete. Superhuman Stamina: Terrax's cosmically powered musculature produces almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting him almost limitless levels of superhuman stamina. However, since his brain is still composed of conventional organic tissue, he does occasionally require sleep in order to dream. Superhuman Agility: Terrax's agility, balance, and bodily coordination have all been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. Superhuman Reflexes: Terrax's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are superior to those of the finest human athlete. Superhuman Durability: Terrax's body is composed of a flexible, rock-like material that is considerably harder and more resistant to physical injury than the bodily tissues of a human being. Terrax's body can withstand exposure to temperature extremes from 50 degrees above absolute zero to the interior of a small sun and the pressure up to 100 Earth atmospheres. His body is also capable of withstanding powerful energy blasts and concussive force up to a fall at terminal velocity from the limit of Earth's exosphere. Terrax's body is also designed to fully withstand the rigors of travel through deep space and is sustained by the Power Cosmic, meaning he has no need to eat, drink, or even breathe. Flight: Terrax, like all of Galactus' heralds, is able to enter warp-space and negotiate through it in order to cover great spatial distances. Traversing through the normal universe, he is able to attain 75% the speed of light, or roughly 139,500 miles per second. Energy Manipulation: Like most heralds, Terrax is able to manipulate energy via the Power Cosmic, firing energy blasts from his axe and hands. However, The Sentry was able to resist his blasts via forcefields Due to him having the Power Cosmic and due to his use of it, he was deemed a Category 1 threat by the Nova Corps and to stated have an "universal" threat level. Abilities Though, like Galactus' other heralds, he prefers to use his energy powers in combat situations, Terrax is a formidable hand to hand combatant. Weapons Cosmic Axe: Terrax wields a cosmic axe, that is empowered with the Power Cosmic, which provides it with several powers of its own to use: Destructive Wave Generation: It is capable of emanating waves of destructive force sufficiently powerful to rend a tear in Galactus' own ship. Forcefield Generation: It can project highly impervious force shields. Power Augmentation: Since it operates independently of rock and earth, the axe augments the scope of Terrax's power. Battle Breakdown: Oh boy, do we have an epic matchup on our hands here folks. We have a highly powerful magic user going up against a being that wields the Power Cosmic. If I'm Captain Marvel (Billy Batson), I would really rely on the Wisdom of Solomon so I am able to come up with a scheme to not only best Terrax physically, but to also outsmart him as well. As always guys, who do you think takes the fight? Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) or Terrax the Tamer?
GuessWhat
Nice stuff. I didn't even know SHAZAM represented the names of old gods. Anyways, I would say Shazam wins. Of course it depends on the writers, but I would write it to were Shazam wins by neutralizing Terrax and not necessarily killing him or knocking him unconscious. Maybe like containing him in another pocket dimension or something.

MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers, Welcome to another installment of Section 5 of Fantasy Fights 2.0. Today's exciting matchup will be: Kl'rt, the Super Skrull Vs. J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Super Skrull Real Name: Kl'rt First Appearance: Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #18 (June, 1963) Origin: Under the rule of Emperor Dorrek VII, Kl'rt became the first Super-Skrull. He was endowed with the powers of the Fantastic Four and sent to Earth to conquer it after the Fantastic Four thwarted their previous invasion attempt. With powers that were stronger than his foes', the Super-Skrull was more than a match against the Fantastic Four. The team's leader, Mr. Fantastic, deduced that Kl'rt's powers were artificial and beamed to him from the Skrull throneworld, so he built a jamming device that cut off the Super-Skrull's power source. Powerless, Kl'rt was imprisoned inside a dormant volcano. Of course, this would not be the last of Kl'rt's battles with the Fantastic Four as he would continue to be a thorn in the first family's side without the need of the transmission beam. Here are his powers and abilities: Powers Skrull Shape-Shifting: Like other Skrulls, Kl'rt is a shape-shifter. Thus he has the ability to rearrange the molecules of his body at will into any form, shape or being perceived that he chooses. This allows him him to imitate the appearance of any of the four members of the Fantastic Four, as well as their powers Hypnotic Gaze: The Super-Skrull possesses certain hypnotic abilities, the limits of which are unknown. Due to absorbing the cosmic energy of the transmission beam, he possesses the powersets of the entire Fantastic Four, but at much greater levels. He can fly faster than Human Torch, he can stretch more than 100 miles and lift (press) more than 100 tons among other things. The sets of powers he can mimic are as follows: Pyrokinesis: The Super-Skrull possesses the mental ability to control ambient heat energy and the physical ability to transform his entire body, or portions of his body, into a fiery, plasma-like state at will. Plasma Form: The Super-Skrull possesses the physical ability to envelop his entire body or portions of his body with fiery plasma without harm to himself. Fire Manipulation: The Super-Skrull can generate shapes composed of fire from any point on his body, such as long streams of fire. Flight: The Super-Skrull with mental stimulation of his flame can form a jet of fire from his feet, directed behind him, which allows him to achieve flight. Heat Absorption: The Super-Skrull can absorb infinite amounts of heat. Vast Superhuman Strength: The Super-Skrull possesses superhuman strength beyond the natural limits of the finest Skrull. Kl'rt's superhuman strength is sufficient enough to lift 100 tons or more. The Super Skrull has a force high enough to hurt incredibly tough beings like The Silver Surfer or Thor. Superhuman Stamina: The Super-Skrull's muscles produce less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of normal Skrull. Superhuman Durability/Invulnerability: The Super-Skrull is far tougher and more resistant to injury than normal Skrulls. Invisibility: The Super-Skrull possesses the mental ability to manipulate ambient cosmic energy for a variety of effects, including the rendering of himself and other objects invisible, and the construction of solid, invisible force fields. Psionic Force Fields: The Super-Skrull, through concentration, is able to project a field of psionic force which he can manipulate into a number of relatively simple forms; rectangular planes, cylinders, globes, domes, cones, etc. Plasticity: The Super-Skrull possesses the ability to convert the mass of his entire body into a highly malleable state at will. Elongation: The Super-Skrull can extend his limbs, torso, or neck to great distances. Grappling: The Super-Skrull may restrain opponents very efficiently by using his elastic form to entangle them. Movement: The Super-Skrull can move at great speeds by stretching to his destination. Combine Powers: Super-Skrull can use more than one power at a time which allows him to combine his powers in various ways, he can create force fields in his flames so that they do not extinguish, among other things. Abilities Skrull-Military Training: The Super-Skrull is an excellent hand-to-hand combatant, having been extensively trained in the art of warfare by the Skrull military. Aviation: Kl'rt is trained in the use of the advanced warp-drive starships of the Skrull-military. Unarmed Combat: Kl'rt is trained in the unarmed combat of the Skrull-military, he is also quite experienced; due to his involvement in the Kree-Skrull War, fighting the Fantastic Four, and the Annihilation Wave. Marksmanship: Kl'rt is trained in the use of the ranged energy-weaponry of the Skrull-military. Creative Power Use: The Super-Skrull is more creative in the use of his powers, when compared with the Fantastic Four (i.e. decapitation). Leadership: Whilst in the Negative Zone, Kl'rt was able to amass an army from the former prisoners of the UX-73 Prison Planetoid. Martian Manhunter Real Name: J'onn J'onzz First Appearance: Detective Comics: Vol. 1 #225 (November, 1955) Origin and backstory: Centuries ago on the planet Mars, the Green Martians known as M'yrnn and Sha'sheen gave birth to twin sons. The bearing of twins was uncommon among the Martian culture, and as such, the first of the twins was named J'onn J'onzz, whose name means "Light to the Light." J'onn's brother, however, was born a mutant, bereft of a Martian's innate ability to communicate telepathically. He was named Ma'alefa'ak, whose name means "Darkness in the Heart." As an adult, J'onn became a Manhunter (police officer) and married a Martian woman named M'yri'ah. The two established a modest home for themselves beneath the windswept Martian plains and gave birth to a daughter named K'hym. Years passed, and J'onn's brother Ma'alefa'ak grew to despise everything about Martian culture. In an ambitious endeavor to commit full-scale genocide against his own people, he engineered a contagious virus known as H'ronmeer's Curse. The virus reacted to telepathic energy and carried from one Martian to the next whenever they elected to use their psionic powers. The plague responded to a Martian's innate fear of fire, causing them psychosomatic stress so intense, that their bodies and minds would literally burst into flame. J'onn desperately tried to keep his wife and daughter from using their mental gifts, but they were unable to do so, and thus ultimately contracted the virus. K'hym was the first to experience the symptoms, and M'yri'ah followed soon after. J'onn was anguished as he watched his family burning to death before his very eyes. The trauma of the event shattered his psyche, and nearly drove him mad. Meanwhile, on the planet Earth, a would-be scientist named Dr. Saul Erdel developed a transmitter machine based upon ancient Martian technology. Seeking to make contact with extraterrestrial life, he aimed his device towards the vicinity of Mars and activated it. The transmitter beam streaked across both space and time, striking the Martian Manhunter at a point in time several centuries before Erdel would even be born. The beam brought J'onn back to Erdel's natural time era, where he collapsed on the ground outside of the doctor's Colorado laboratory. Erdel brought the distraught Martian inside and attempted to nurse him back to health. The anguish of J'onn's mental state created a psychic bond between the two, and Erdel became aware of the events that took place on Mars. In an effort to heal J'onn's mind, Erdel used the mental link to fabricate a new history for the Martian. He created a back-story inspired by the writings of famous science fiction novelists such as Ray Bradbury and Edgar Rice Burroughs. Eventually, J'onn's sanity was restored, and he was prepared to function in this strange, new world. Erdel put the idea into his head that he should become a great champion, and thus J'onn adopted the heroic guise of the Martian Manhunter. When J'onn shapeshifted into a human-like form, Erdel was shocked and suffered a heart attack that killed him. As he was dying, Erdel asked J'onn for forgiveness for making him a prisoner of Earth. It was later revealed that Mars was dead when J'onn was taken, killed by a mental plague deliberately started by his brother Ma'alefa'ak. He took the identity of the Bronze Wraith, and fought crime with the Justice Experience. J'onn was able to use his powers to fit into human society. He adopted a human appearance and called himself "John Jones." He became a police detective in the city of Middleton. For a long time, he worked as a policeman while secretly using his alien powers to solve cases and help people. Years later, he would play a key role in finding and establishing one of the most iconic and greatest superhero teams of all time, the Justice League of America, along with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (Barry Allen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and Aquaman. Here are his powers and abilities: Martian Physiology: Martian Manhunter has been described as "the Swiss Army knife of superheroes." He possesses many of the powers of Superman. Note: Many, if not all of the Martian Manhunter's powers and abilities are common to members of his race, even if demonstration of such abilities has not been explicitly shown in a canonical resource. His powers come from his alien physiology. Born on Mars over a millennium ago, from a super advanced civilization, boasting advanced technology and genetic modifications over its people, the Martian Manhunter would appear to be a genetically modified being with incredible powers stemming from the changes made in his body. Whether this is their natural state or an advanced state given to only a few individuals is unknown. The Martian's physiology would seem to be composed of a complex molecular chain that resembles polymer bonds but with the ability to be altered at will. The Martian Manhunter can change his mass, color, relative shape, imitating even clothing if desired. The biopolymer is extremely flexible, durable, incredibly strong for a biological material and apparently self-sustaining. According to Superman, if he can count on one hand the number of beings in the known universe he'd be afraid to face in open combat. J'onn J'onzz is at the top of that list. He's the most powerful being on the face of the Earth. Even John Stewart agrees that J'onn is the single most powerful creature on the planet. It is unknown if the Martian Manhunter actually needs to eat or not but he has been seen consuming food, particularly "Chocos," a brand of cookies. Shape-Shifting, Malleability, Plasticity, and Elongation: Arguably one of the most incredible powers possessed by the Manhunter is the ability to shape-shift. He is able to literally control the molecular structure of his body's biopolymers and manipulate them into any construct he desires, in addition to and including his own body. He can form clothing and weapons with non-moving or non-functioning parts. There does not seem to be any limit to the number of people the Manhunter can imitate and has stood in as a double for many famous people. His ability to imitate people and their mannerisms has stood him in good stead for his disguises. He has recently been seen to shape-shift into the size and shape of a common house fly and to enormous sizes comparable to skyscrapers. Animal Mimicry: J'onn has the ability to turn into animals, such as Tomasso the cat, and turned his head into a bird. Manhunters were trained on how to take the shapes of beasts. Invisibility: The Manhunter can cause the biopolymers in his body to lose their ability to reflect light, rendering the Manhunter invisible to normal light and human sight. With more increased concentration, he can render himself completely invisible along the electromagnetic spectrum, including the infrared and the ultraviolet ranges of the spectrum. This invisibility does not affect every other sense and he could still be detected by touch. Phasing: The Manhunter can phase through solid matter. No explanation of this power has been given, but it might possibly be an aspect of his psionic powers, perhaps shifting his mass into another dimension or out of vibrational phase with other objects in this dimension. Since it is known that he can alter the density of his biopolymers, it may be that he can simply become less substantial than solid matter, thereby decreasing the molecular density of his body by loosening the bonds within the biopolymers, due to - and further demonstrating - the absolute control he has over them. Invulnerability: The biomorphic structure of the Manhunter's body allows him to absorb almost all kinetic energies such as high caliber bullets, shrapnel, or flying debris easily. He can harden his biopolymers by rebinding them and increase his durability to the point where he is nearly on par with Superman. Along with his nigh-invulnerability, his shape shifting makes him even more difficult to harm. Hazardous environments practically do not affect the Martian Manhunter . Toxic Immunity: In addition, Martian Manhunter's immune system protects him from all toxins and diseases (meaning he is unable to succumb to any earthly poison, disease or infection). Vast Superhuman Strength: The Martian Manhunter is one of the strongest beings on the planet. The Martian's superhuman strength comes from his Biomorphic structure formed from immensely long and complex molecular chains, augmented with his psionic and telekinetic abilities allowing him to lift incredible weights without these weights crumbling under the stress. The Martian has been seen lifting tankers out of the ocean for vast distances, stalemating powerhouses like Superman, moving 1/3 of the Earth with Superman and Wonder Woman, knocking out Captain Marvel (Billy Batson) once, stopping a ship many times larger than the planet from colliding with Earth in tandem with Superman, and destroying the Moon whose gravity was increased a billion fold to the point it was tearing off the Earth's crust and ejecting every continent into the atmosphere. J'onn's strength is great enough to the point that he has drawn blood from beings as durable as Kryptonians such as Supergirl by his punches alone. By modifying the density of these biopolymers, the Manhunter can make himself stronger by forcing them into tighter bundles. While at a resting state the limits of his strength are unknown, the Manhunter can lift 100 tons without much effort. He is nearly as strong as the likes of Superman when concentrating his biopolymers to their full capacity. Super-Leaping: The Martian Manhunter has demonstrated the ability to jump immense distances. Superhuman Stamina: J'onn's endurance is just as formidable as his strength and invulnerability. He can operate under extreme conditions for an indeterminate period of time without showing signs of fatigue. The exact range of this power is unknown. Regeneration: The Martian Manhunter has shown amazing regenerative capabilities. So great are they that he has been able to completely regenerate from nothing but his severed hand, regenerate in moments from nothing more than a puddle of green liquid, and in another instance, survived beheading. Flight: The Martian Manhunter flies by manipulation of gravitons (a subatomic particle associated with the force of gravity), manipulation of magnetic fields and control of his absolute molecular movement (a telekinetic effect). These combine to give him the ability to fly great distances with little fatigue and at great speed. The Manhunter has also been seen flying in space with no difficulty, and in space he can fly at speeds that have allowed him to keep up with the likes of even Superman. J'onn can therefore fly at speeds exceeding the escape velocity of earth (7 miles per second) under his own power. Superhuman Speed: Either through flight or natural movement, the Martian Manhunter can maintain speed and demonstrates reflexes far in excess to that of most metahumans, and for far longer. Like the power of flight, this is accomplished by manipulating the magnetic fields of energy surrounding his body, as well as ambient gravitational particles. Traditionally, J'onn only uses his superhuman speed while flying. He has admitted that he is not as fast as Superman but this can be argued as he has shown speed feats that are nearly at Superman's level, such as the speed necessary to fly around the earth destroying multiple targets around the planet in seconds, while also managing to save Kyle Rayner in the end. He can process thoughts, move, and react at super speed as well. J'onn has also demonstrated that he is fast enough to comfortably catch bullets and other exceedingly fast projectiles. Extrasensory Input: J'onn possesses nine different senses. One of these senses could account for instances of the Manhunter's perceived precognitive abilities. Longevity: Martians possess naturally longer lifespans than human beings. J'onn has lived for at least one hundred years and is still not at old age. Super Hearing Super Breath: The Martian Manhunter has also demonstrated an increased lung capacity. The inner valves and chambers inside the Martian Manhunter's air canals are very dense and greatly enhanced, allowing him to, much like Superman, create strong hurricane force winds just by exhaling pressurized air from his lungs in an incredibly strong burst and freeze opponents. Enhanced Senses Martian Vision: The actual nature of this power seems to vary depending on the reports. It has been seen to be a bolt of force, directed by the Manhunter's eyes causing considerable damage. It has also been seen to cause flammable objects to catch fire. It also grants J'onn the ability to see into other spectrums of light. J'onn can use his Martian vision to see people and objects that are invisible to others. For example, upon their first meeting, J'onn's power allowed him to see past Gypsy's metahuman camouflage ability; other effects are, at present, unknown. X-Ray Vision: J'onn J'onzz described this ability colloquially as ionized particulate matter mapped to a variable density wavepacket. It allows him to see through objects. Electromagnetic Spectrum Vision Telescopic Vision Microscopic Vision Heat Vision: Martian Manhunter can project powerful blasts of energy from his eyes. The power of these blasts are comparable to Superman's heat vision and have been shown to be able to harm the likes of Superman and Black Adam. He is able to create a powerful enough blast to sever his own arm. Telepathy: The Martian Manhunter is the most powerful telepath on the planet, and is one of the strongest telepathic beings in the Universe. He is able to effect even the Spectre and Doctor Fate with his telepathy. Aquaman has stated that Martian Manhunter's telepathy exceeds even the telepathy of other members of the Martian race. He said that with J'onn's great telepathic power his own telepathy just "pings" off of him while when Aquaman was in the presence of J'onn's brother, Ma'alefa'ak, there was no such effect. J'onn is capable of linking the minds of all superheroes at once from a distance of the moon to all corners of the earth. He is also capable of reading the minds of all inhabitants of earth at once. His telepathic abilities also allow him to create realistic illusions; telepathically trace and locate people; shut down people's minds; brain blast; mental shield; influence thoughts; mind control people; manipulate memory; astral projection; possession; induce sleep; reprogram or reorder minds; and transfer information directly into people's brains. The Martian Manhunter's mind control capabilities have allowed him to mind control the Joker and make him temporarily sane, as well as mind controlling several White Martians at once. He is also capable of mentally shielding those around him from telepathic assault. His own mental defenses are so strong that he is able to telepathically shield himself from the combined might of several White Martians and from the Mageddon machinery. Illusions Possession Astral Projection Mind Control: The Martian Manhunter can also control other beings mind's. Insane minds seem to be the only minds he has some trouble controlling. Telepathic Relay: Otherwise known as a telepathic link. As a Class 3 telepath, the Manhunter is able to use his telepathic prowess as a relay station for a group of minds, who can then "speak" to each other through him. This relaying ability seems to be limited to the same range as the Manhunter's normal telepathic range. Telepathic Assault: The Martian Manhunter can also use his telepathic abilities in an offensive manner. He has the ability to cause mental shutdown in a target using his psionic powers. The Manhunter does not use this power often due to the invasive nature and harshness of such a telepathic attack. Thought Sensing: The Manhunter can use the mental signature of a being to track it, and can detect life forms by their empathic as well as telepathic signatures. He can detect whether a being is intelligent or not, and can communicate with it empathically if it does not have a communication-driven frame of reference with which normal telepathy may function. He can also detect various states of mind from anywhere in the world. Telekinesis: Presumably a side effect of his Martian vision is telekinesis. He seems to keep this ability in reserve, as he does some of his other powers. J'onn is capable of controlling / manipulating; move; push; cut out; attack; and levitate objects even at the subatomic level. J'onn can manipulate atoms, subatomic particles, and cells perfectly. J'onn can fire extremely powerful Telekinetic Blasts, causing others to telekinetically explode and create a telekinetic shield. J'onn has only demonstrated this power a select few times. Sonic Scream: J'onn has on occasion demonstrated the capability to emit a devastating sonic scream. Matter Absorption: J'onn has the ability to absorb matter and add it to his own mass, he once used this ability to grow to the size of the gigantic Antares, and in another occasion to enhance his regenerative abilities. Abilities Genius Level Intellect: The Martian Manhunter possesses highly advanced reasoning and logic capabilities and uses them to great effect. Despero once claimed that Ted Kord's mind (IQ 192) was second only to that of J'onn J'onzz. On Mars, everyone had to fulfill dual roles and J'onn, apart from a Manhunter, was a philosopher, adept in such high concepts as the Algebra of Ethics and the Life Equation. The Martian Manhunter's particularly astute reasoning capabilities and long-term association with Earth's global population gives him an edge in dealing with humans of diverse governments, cultures and religions. As a result, in the northern hemisphere of Earth, the Manhunter is one of many costumed adventurers battling against entropy, yet in the southern hemisphere, he is more well-known than even Superman. Eidetic Memory Pedagogy: J'onn not only has experience as a school teacher, but he has trained the Justice League in mental exercises to help them resist mind control, telepathy and mind attacks. He has even trained Kyle Rayner in combat. Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced): Even before becoming a hero on Earth, J'onn was a member of the Manhunters of Mars and trained under them in a variety of fighting arts, including hand-to-hand combat. Under their rigorous training, J'onn was able to defeat entire groups of Parademons in single combat. The Well of Souls has deemed J’onn the best of all the Manhunters. J'onn's expertise in battle has often had him been sought out as a combat instructor and teacher, and has taught members of the Justice League and Justice Society. As Martians constantly study others, J'onn has proven himself able to quickly adapt, even incorporate moves he saw in manga. J'onn was capable of fighting out a large group of White Martians, long enough for Batman to escape. Martian Manhunter has also received training from Wonder Woman. J'onn has held his own against Mindhunter in combat, for a prolonged period of time, before being overwhelmed Martial Arts Weaponry: J'onn is skilled in the use of a trident. Swordsmanship: J'onn has matched and even defeated Kanto in swordplay. Military Protocol: Manhunters are trained in military protocol, acting as soldiers. Law: Manhunters are trained in legal matters, acting as judges. Investigation: Manhunters were famed for their ability to always catch criminals, never stopping a case until justice was done. As John Jones, he further proved himself a capable detective. J'onn once made detailed files on all of the heroes on Earth, including on the Justice League of America. Criminology Tactical Analysis: J'onn is a superb tactician Leadership Multilingualism: The Martian Manhunter is able to speak several languages, those include: Martian, English, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Italian. Meditation: Martians enter a meditative state as a form of sleep. Diplomacy Aviation: J'onn has proven himself a capable pilot of both Martian and Human aircraft. Mimicry: As J'onn's lives are real people, J'onn constantly finds himself acting to the other people in their lives, rarely ever slipping up. J'onn is so good at this, that he was able to completely mimic Batman based off scant memories of those who witnessed him. He also often pretends to be supervillains, in order to gain their secrets. Power Replication: Martian's constantly study others in order to learn how to replicate their abilities, shapes, and skills. Farming: As Josh Johnstone, J'onn worked at Kent Farm. Business Management: As Yuchiro Takata, J'onn was a high-ranking but retired businessman at New Concept Industries. Journalism: As Goldie Johnstone, J'onn worked as a reporter at the World Register. Stealth: J'onn has utilized stealth on numerous occasions, often using his invisibility, or acting skills, but has also performed fear tactics, such as when he took down the Renegades of Mars. Battle Breakdown: Folks, this maybe one of the most interesting and creative fantasy fights I've ever put together. We have two powerful, versatile, and shapeshifting aliens going at it. I will say that I will give Super Skrull a slight edge over Martian Manhunter because Kl'rt controls fire which happens to be J'onn's biggest weakness. For those who do not know, Martian Manhunter possesses a psychosomatic fear of fire. Any contact with fire causes the Manhunter to lose control of his biomorphic form. But, as always, I leave the outcome up to you guys. Do you guys take Super Skrull or Martian Manhunter? I hope you guys enjoy this matchup. PEACE! MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers, Welcome to another segment of Section 5 of Fantasy Fights 2.0 Today's matchup is: Imperiex VS. Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Imperiex Real Name: Imperiex-Prime First Appearance: Superman Vol. 2 #153 (February, 2000) Overview: He was first seen when Mongul, the son of the deceased villain of the same name, arrived on Earth stating that Imperiex had destroyed Warworld and was heading for Earth. Mongul convinced Superman to help him fight Imperiex, and the two managed to defeat it. However, it transpired that the "Imperiex" they had encountered was no more than a probe, whereas Imperiex Prime, leader of the Imperieces, was himself a much larger and more powerful being. He had detected imperfections in the fabric of the universe, and his ultimate plan was to destroy it and create a new, perfect one. To do so, Imperiex Prime headed for Earth, the planet which held the universe together, in order to destroy it and therefore induce a new Big Bang. Before arriving to Earth, Imperiex obliterated countless other planets. Kalanor, Karna, and Daxam are three known planets destroyed in his cataclysmic campaign. Whole galaxies were also targeted for demolition as Imperiex Prime sought to fulfill his destructive destiny, obliterating one universe so that a new one would be born. After destroying Karna, Imperiex arrived at Almerac, the home of Maxima, and not only destroyed Almerac but "hollowed" the entire galaxy. After this, the survivors of the dead worlds, Brainiac 13's Warworld, Apokolips, and Earth formed a coalition, with Darkseid as its commander, to fight against Imperiex Prime and his probes. Finally arriving at the Milky Way Galaxy, Imperiex began sending in numerous probes. On Earth, several of Imperiex's machine-colony "Hollowers" destroyed Topeka, Kansas (as well as seven other places) when they began to dig into Earth to ready it for Imperiex's final demolition. Here are his powers and abilities: Powers Unique Physiology: The embodiment of entropy, Imperiex takes the form of pure energy contained inside a humanoid suit of armor, colossal in size. Energy Projection: He was capable of projecting energy blasts powerful enough to reduce Doomsday to a simple skeleton. Vast Superhuman Strength Superhuman Durability Imperiex also has the ability to induce a Big Bang Abilities Swordsmanship Silver Surfer Real Name: Norrin Radd First Appearance: Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #48 (December, 1965) Origin: One of the noblest and most tormented cosmic entities in the universe, the Silver Surfer treasures freedom above all else, but has often sacrificed his liberty for the greater good. He was born Norrin Radd on the planet Zenn-La, part of an extremely long-lived and technologically advanced humanoid race which had created a worldwide utopia devoid of crime, disease, hunger, poverty, and want of any kind. His father named him after revered scientist Norrin Konn, the man responsible for raising Zenn-La from barbarism to utopia. Norrin Radd's mother Elmar, ill-suited to this stifling environment, eventually killed herself. Urged on by his atypically ambitious father Jartran, Norrin was raised as a grimly intellectual youth, encouraged to seek knowledge, advancement and achievement rather than the aimless hedonism which had come to dominate Zenn-Lavian society; however, a disgraced Jartran would later commit suicide himself after he was accused of idea theft (though not before he had taken a new lover and fathered another son, Fennan, unknown to Norrin). Despite his lifelong lover Shalla-Bal, Norrin grew into a restless soul who longed for challenge and struggle, immersing himself in histories of Zenn-La's adventurous ancient past. Norrin's life changed forever when a menacing alien spacecraft pierced Zenn-La's long-neglected defense systems. Convincing a Council of Scientists member to provide him with a spaceship, Radd soon confronted the invader, Galactus, who intended to consume Zenn-La; Radd offered to become his herald and seek out new worlds for him to sate his hunger in exchange for Galactus sparing Zenn-La. Galactus agreed, transforming Radd into a silver-skinned, cosmic-powered super-being patterned after an adolescent fantasy plucked from Norrin's memories. Known thereafter as the Silver Surfer because of the silvery flying board he rode, Radd departed Zenn-La with Galactus. Here are his powers, abilities, and equipment/gear: Powers Cosmic Empowerment: Currently, the Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful beings in the universe, and the most powerful of the Heralds of Galactus. He was deemed to be an Alpha Plus by the Galadorian Spaceknight Ikon, and potentially a universal-level threat by the Nova Corps. The Surfer has also eventually been recognized to normally hold back and not manifest his full power. Vast Superhuman Strength: The Surfer possesses enormous superhuman strength. Though the exact magnitude remains vague, the Surfer has often been shown to fight evenly with people who can lift far in excess of 100 tons. He can also channel the build-up of energy within himself to increase his strength to incalculable levels. He managed to pulverize diamonds with no effort, stopped a charging Rhino, and when in a weak state he even managed to overcome and defeat the Abomination with little effort. The Surfer also forcefully redirected a starship's path and launched it into the outer solar system, and it was stated that it would continue on its straight-line path for centuries. He escaped from Quasar's construct, broke out of a planet that Michael Korvac formed by using nearby asteroids, physically subjugated a dwarf star thrown on him by an enhanced Deadpool and easily redirected it into outer space, and using his speed and strength, the Surfer shattered through several Vibranium walls that exploded on contact to save Nova. When he was extremely weakened, he still managed to pull the Galactus Incubator out of the young living planet Ego, and then throw it a few light-years away, and throw Stormbreaker out of a black hole. The Surfer's potential strength was once said to rival the Hulk's limitless rage-enhanced strength. Invulnerability: The Silver Surfer's entire body is sheathed in a silvery, impervious metallic coating, his "silver skin", is near indestructible, and impenetrable, under normal conditions, making him essentially invulnerable and is almost totally indestructible. Among things that include simple blunt force, like withstanding a punch from She-Hulk without flinching back when the She-Hulk's power level was still just class 75, and not far above class 100 as it is today. The Silver Surfer can withstand even the most extreme conditions, like the crushing pressures of a black hole. He is immune to temperature extremes and most radiation, and can survive in vacuum environments such as outer space and hyperspace. He withstood the extreme cold in the North Pole, as well in the Himalayas, the extreme heat and thermal radiation of atmospheric entry, the extreme heat and thermal radiation of atmospheric entry, and can even take supernovas unharmed. Moreover, he was able to travel and live outer space without being affected in a single manner by cosmic radiations. Superhuman Speed: Prior to his upgrade, the Silver Surfer was one of the fastest beings in the universe, but he was greatly outmatched by the Runner of the Elders of the Universe. Currently, he is faster than Beta Ray Bill and Nova. The Silver Surfer can travel at speeds faster than light. He can enter Hyperspace when he exceeds the speed of light, Prior to his upgrade, the Silver Surfer was one of the fastest beings in the universe, but he was greatly outmatched by the Runner of the Elders of the Universe. Currently, he is faster than Beta Ray Bill and Nova. The Silver Surfer can travel at speeds faster than light. He can enter Hyperspace when he exceeds the speed of light, although he is also able to accelerate and achieve faster than light speeds without accessing hyperspace. For example of his speed, Dracula's hurricane wasn't enough to knock him off balance or slow him down, he has used his speed to easily destroy Warships, traveled light years in just 1 second, quickly traveled half a million light years, left Earth and traversed half the galaxy in search of food for Galactus to consume in mere seconds, in just moments, the Surfer flew out of a galaxy, and in a few minutes the Surfer traveled from Earth to halfway across the universe following a call echoing through creation. His speed has been described as “distorting space-time, flying from one side of the universe to the other. Finally, his mind and body can be used at these speeds as well, making the Surfer extremely reactive and agile. The Surfer has searched the entire planet for Namor in less time than it took for Doctor Strange to finish a sentence, visited and analyzed every planet in numerous galaxies in a matter of hours. Superhuman Agility: Silver Surfer has greater agility, balance, dexterity, flexibility, equilibrium and bodily coordination than that of an Olympic-level athlete. But Silver Surfer rarely shows this ability. While flying, he easily dodges bullets and anti-aircraft missiles from military planes, dodges Kree blaster fire, dodged Cyborg Superman's laser beams at point-blank range, and even managed to coordinate his body to avoid a barrage of laser beams coming from several spacecraft simultaneously. Superhuman Stamina: The Surfer's highly enhanced musculature generates no fatigue toxins, body stress, or even sweat, granting him inexhaustible physical stamina, which allows him to fight other beings for prolonged periods of time before tiring, if he even gets tired. Superhuman Reflexes: Silver Surfer can react and dodge objects traveling at high speed, much quicker than any normal human. When he was attacked by the Human Torch, the Surfer was able to successfully dodge his attack, as he was able to easily dodge and counter all of the Lunatik's strikes, and effortlessly dodge the Hulk's blow and a rock thrown at him. He is also able to dodge meteors and a lightning bolt, just as he has several times reacted in the space of a microsecond, and even in the range of a nanosecond. The Surfer was even able to analyze a situation in a microsecond and to act much faster than that. Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his invulnerability, Silver Surfer can be injured, but can heal and regenerate immediately using the Power Cosmic. He healed immediately after being eaten by eagles (Silver Surfer does it intentionally to experience "life and death ..."), fixed his severed hand, restored his arm after being cut off, upon the return of half of his cosmic essence, was instantly healed and at maximum power, and healed from being cut up multiple times when the Cosmic Power was being restored to him. He has managed to fully recover from complete atomic destruction during his battle with Uni-Lord. He can exist without his body; and turn into air and/or snow and can reform himself. Immortality: Due to his ability to sustain himself, the Silver Surfer is virtually immortal. He is approximately 13.7 billion years old due to having traveled back in time to a previous incarnation of the universe and simply waiting out until the present caught up with him. Flight: Using his board, Silver Surfer can fly through the air and vacuum of space at near-limitless speed. He can fly at supersonic speed, and even faster than light speed. He can also maneuver with great precision in any direction, as well as float in one place. Surfer can fly without his Cosmic Surfboard, projecting cosmic energy through his hands for propulsion, similar to Iron Man's repulsors. Surfer use for the first time to propulse through oil inside the Ego, allowing his to reached the surface. He can fly through the air, at incredible speed, allowing his to take off into atmosphere, and even fly in void. Levitation: In addition to flight Surfer is able to levitate off the ground without actually flying, and without using his board. Self-Sustenance: The Silver Surfer does not need to eat or breathe since he absorbs life-maintaining cosmic energy directly through his skin. Soul Absorption Resistance: For example has withstood the Soul Stone, has more than enough spare life force, and not even the stealing tongue of the Wraith Queen mind managed to effect the Silver Surfer, and most impressively he has resisted being absorbed by Mephisto. Mephisto did manage to steal Silver Surfer’s soul once, but the Surfer managed to recover it. The only time Silver Surfer's soul was completely taken away was by Thanos who owned the Infinity Gauntlet and used the Soul Stone. Although the Soul Stone failed to absorb Silver Surfer's soul, although Thanos was later able to use the Soul Stone to remove the souls of the Silver Surfer and Drax the Destroyer after the stone was placed within the gauntlet. Power Absorption Immunity: Due to his cosmic sensibilities, his superhuman abilities can't be absorb. As demonstrated went Rouge's absorbing powers did not affect him. Infrared Undetectability: Surfer do not emanate body heat. This allows him to be invisible for enemies with infrared vision and infrared scans. Cosmic Awareness: His cosmic sense can allow him to comprehend rules of the universe others would find incomprehensible, as well as being able to sense energy concentration anywhere in the universe, sense a human trapped in a falling capsule, read the spark of electrons and surge of chemicals in people, feel the culture of Earth being stolen, and being able to sense that Mephisto was up to something. He can also determine the nature of new energy sources, locations, and determine the nature of an energy source and who the beings who created it were. Silver surfer can sense pure consciousness, and sensed Galactus rising 93 million miles away from the sun. Silver Surfer was able to sense the weakness of Gladiator. While in a state of powerlessness, he stated he could've sensed Johnny Storm's death from halfway across the universe. Silver Surfer was able to sense the deaths of billions of beings being killed by Thanos. His Cosmic Awareness can also see as far back as the previous universe as he saw Galactus' origin. He also managed to feel an imbalance in the Power Cosmic, and the High Evolutionary with the Silver Surfer's Power Cosmic was surprised with how much cosmic awareness the Surfer had and how much knowledge he gained so quickly and was able to use the cosmic awareness to find and call out to Galactus' ship across the universe. Cosmic Senses: The Silver Surfer has certain cosmic-energy enhanced perceptions which enable him, through concentration, to become aware of the patterns of energy anywhere in the world. These abilities allow him far-ranging vision (in space he can see people clearly over a light year away), the ability to see subatomic particles, superhuman hearing, the ability to detect fields, traces, and concentrations of pure forms of energy and discern their natures. The Surfer learnt quite a lot of Earth culture due to his cosmic senses, and he also found the greatest ice cream in the universe, felt billions of beings on a planet, and was able to detect new life forms and determine their abilities. Currently the abilities of the Surfer surpass even those of Stardust. Cosmic Sight: Silver Surfer's vision is improved, allowing him to see farther than a normal human. He can change vision between visible spectra, infrared vision, can see signatures / paths of psionic energy, adjusts his vision to continuous brightness, and can see all things up to the “nanoscopic scale”. He can see through illusions, as strong as the Stranger's, a cosmic entity that is of the same class as Galactus. He can see beyond sub-atomic levels. He is able to detect and track Thanos' teleportation path, which is so advanced that the Surfer describes him as a rival to Galactus' level of technology, he can perceive dimensional things that mortals cannot, and can see what's in the universe even if it is billions of light-years away while keeping its clarity perfectly. Cosmic Vision: Can perceive time as one, watching the past, present, and future at once, and can project this effect for others to see. Cosmic Hearing: Silver Surfer is capable of hearing sounds from a far greater distance than any human. Silver Surfer can know that the person he's talking to is a Skrull in the form of a human just from hearing their heartbeat, and can hear whispers from Earth while on the moon, as well as being able to “hear heartbeats from a light year away”'. Cosmic Energy Manipulation: The Silver Surfer wields "the power cosmic," absorbing and manipulating the universe's ambient cosmic energies, for a a variety of effects Imbued with the Power Cosmic, the Silver Surfer can manipulates near-limitless cosmic energy, can gather, channel, and manipulate large quantities of Cosmic Energy. Based on cumulative evidence from beings with similar magnitudes of power and his own feats, the Surfer's maximum power output ranges from the casual planetoid/planet and planet level, to the level of a compact star, and plausibly, by employing his ability to channel cosmic energy, and by assimilating another being into himself, to solar system level without getting overloaded (presumably still accounting for a solar system's destruction on his own power). The Silver Surfer has also regularly faced opponents such as Thor and Beta Ray Bill, who destroyed a gigantic star-dwarfing portal as an extreme high-end feat. Energy Absorption and Manipulation: The absorption of electromagnetic energy is the base of the Surfer's life and power. The Silver Surfer has complete control of the four fundamental forces of the universe, reaching nearly any effect he desires. As a result, the Surfer can absorb, manipulate and discharge tremendous amounts of energy across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The Silver Surfer has claimed several times to hold enough power to easily shatter planets. The Surfer's incredible powers also surpass Nova while he held the entirety of the Nova Force and Quasar, with sufficient force to casually destroy planets, and a large fraction of a structure whose size easily dwarfed Earth. Upon utilizing his ability to channel vast amounts of cosmic energy, and by merging his essence with another being as means of connection with the Uni-Lord, he could destroy an entire solar system. Currently, at maximum, his beams are capable of almost killing Ravenous, equaling Thanos, and hurting Thor who was wearing Asgardian armor. Additional abilities include: Erecting force fields, phasing through solid matter, using the build-up of energy within himself to increase his strength, creating stable black holes, creating a compact star while extremely weakened, creating solid energy often in the forms of a cocoon or barrier, restabilizing and recharging a star, accelerating the evolution of lifeforms on a planet-wide scale, seeing the past by peeling back the layers of time, time travel, trans-dimensional travel, bestowing limited cosmic powers to others, telepathically reading minds, casting illusions, temporarily animating the inanimate and sharing a portion of his power and consciousness with it, and emphatically influencing human emotion and sensation. The Surfer also possesses the ability to suppress or absorb the powers of other beings, making them temporarily or permanently unable to use them, as he did once with the Hulk. He can heal living beings, even if they are near-death. He cannot, however, raise the dead. Optic Blast: The Silver Surfer is able to use his cosmic energy to project powerful cosmic energy beams from his eyes. These beams are extremely deadly, it was strong enough to completely disintegrate Cable's Cybernetic Arm. Matter Manipulation: The Silver Surfer can alter matter by rearranging molecules. He can also change the state of matter, such as making solids into gas. Transmutation helps the Surfer escape traps and prisons, and can also be used to make an enemy's weapons inactive. He is able to bend his own molecular structure so as to transform himself to appear human. Cosmic Healing: He can heal living beings (though he cannot raise the dead). He managed to heal a bullet wound, healed Carla from multiple bullet wounds, healed Syrrh from a blaster wound, and healed the massive blaster wound of a creatures.[citation needed] The Silver Surfer managed to heal a Watcher, offered Alicia Masters, a blind woman, a one-touch view of the world, although not permanent, temporarily modified the chemistry of a drug-addicted woman's body to remove drugs from her system, and cured thousands of plagues at the molecular level. Even if Silver Surfer cannot raise people from the dead, he can heal people who are on the verge of death. Size Manipulation: Silver Surfer is able to use the Power Cosmic to manipulate his size. Silver Surfer managed to shrink to sub-atomic size and enter the Microverse, and exit to return to normal size. The Silver Surfer even managed to shrink to such a small size that, to him, atoms were the size of "planets ...then solar system" to escape a black hole. Silver Surfer can change the size of other people and things, for example he managed to bring Metropolis and all its inhabitants back to their normal size. Teleportation: Silver Surfer has displayed the ability to teleport. Silver Surfer also showed that he is able to teleport others, for example he managed to teleport all the ones who were on Sanctuary, while they were inside a black hole. Portal Creation: Silver Surfer can create portals and gates in order to transport to another location. For example, he managed to create a portal, through which they passed "Three Billion Ships" to the new planet which they called “New Newhaven. Dimensional Travel: Silver Surfer has shown the ability to teleport or travel through dimensions. Silver Surfer managed to enter in Mephisto's Realm - to save Shalla Bal, managed to travel in the dimension of the Other, and even managed to travel in the Singularity (a dimension that literally exist before the universe by flying into a quasar). Also Silver Surfer stated that he can resume his path to any plans of reality and existence he been to before. Intangibility: After reconstituting himself following his "death" battling Knull, the Silver Surfer became intangible. While he is unable to interact with physical objects, he can still affect them with his Power Cosmic and can merge with other living creatures in a manner similar to a symbiote. Astral Projection: The Surfer can project his astral form outside of his physical body, when in astral form he can perceive and interact with other beings made of spirit, even causing them harm. The Surfer claimed that he could not be harmed in the Astral Plane as it was the source of the Power Cosmic. The Surfer and Mephisto battle in their astral forms. Possession: When Silver Surfer is in astral form he can possess people. He has managed to possess Alicia Masters and give her the power to fight Agatha Harkness (who was possessed by Mephisto). Soul Manipulation: By channeling his cosmic power, Silver Surfer can enter the Astral Plane, which he describes as the source of his power and where he was able to destroy the soul of an enemy. Surfer can resist his soul from being absorbed. Telekinesis: Using his cosmic power, Silver Surfer can lift objects with his mind. His telekinesis allows him to deconstruct weapons and objects, to throw massive space debris at both Aegis and Tenebrous, and surround and hold Millenius with nearby wreckage and send him to the core of a planet. Elemental Manipulation: Thanks to the Power Cosmic, Silver Surfer can manipulate the elements, these include: Pyrokinesis: Generate heat, as well as create and manipulate fire. Silver Surfer can raise the temperature of its flames to the point where it burns hotter than a Nova. Aerokinesis: Generate, control and manipulate air and gases. When Dr. Doom had the powers of Silver Surfer, he managed to create a cyclone with which he attacked Human Torch, and destroyed a certain area of a forest. Hydrokinesis: Generate, control and manipulate water. Cryokinesis: Generate, control and manipulate ice, snow, and cold temperatures. When Dr. Doom had the powers of Silver Surfer, he managed to freeze the Human Torch, temporarily extinguishing its flame, and turning a tropical island into a frozen desert, with very low temperatures and covered in ice and snow "for 24 hours." Chlorokinesis: Generate, control and manipulate plants and vegetation. When Dr. Doom had the powers of the Silver Surfer, he managed to control a tree from a distance to attack the Fantastic Four's ship. Photokinesis: Generate, control and manipulate light. When Silver Surfer and Dawn Greenwood entered a universe cover in dark, and as soon as the darkness began to consume them, Silver Surfer managed to “burn brighter than 10 suns.” Chromatokinesis: Silver Surfer can also change the color of objects, people, etc. For example, in memory of his girlfriend Dawn Greenwood, Silver Surfer changed the color of the Power Cosmic to red with black dots. Gravitikinesis: Silver Surfer can make objects or people heavier or lighter, as well as making things fall apart. His gravity manipulation can also negate gravitational disturbances and has a planetary range. Atmokinesis: Silver Surfer can use the power cosmic to influence and control the weather. When Dr. Doom had the powers of Silver Surfer he managed to create a storm that covered part of New York. Abilities As Norrin Radd, the Surfer was a scientist, a dreamer, and something of a philosopher, skills which he sometimes finds quite useful. Surfer, has shown mastery of Zenn-Lavian 'hypno disciplines' which allow him to hypnotize his enemies long enough to deal with them even when bereft of the Power Cosmic. The Surfer, however, is only an average hand-to-hand combatant, depending almost entirely upon his cosmic powers in battle. During his time on Sakaar in the arena, the savage has proven to be an aggressive hand-to-hand fighter, relying on vicious offensive tactics in the absence of his cosmic power. He has used his cosmic board as a long shield in combat and has adopted both a spiked mace and double-handed sword as his offensive weapons. Equipment Cosmic Surfboard: When flying, the Silver Surfer uses a construct which resembles an earthly surfboard. This "board" is made with the same silvery material (The Galactic Glaze) that composes the Surfer's body, thus making the board indestructible. Few forces aside from the power cosmic itself can affect it, and if it is somehow damaged, the Surfer can easily repair it in an instant as well as being able to form additional boards from his body. The board is psionically linked with the Surfer's mind in some unknown fashion, and it follows his commands instantly. It apparently taps cosmic energy in much the same fashion as the Surfer himself, and although the Surfer could theoretically use the power cosmic to fly without his board, the construct enables him to do so without expending any of his own energy. The Surfer generally limits his speed to Mach 10 (ten times the speed of sound) within the outer layers of a planet's atmosphere, can attain 99.99% the speed of light in regular space, and can exceed light-speed within hyperspace. The Silver Surfer is also able to trap living matter into his Surfboard for extended periods of time, or even destroy living matter within the board itself. Battle Breakdown: We have one of the DC Universe most powerful and dangerous villains going up against the Marvel Universe's greatest and most powerful cosmic hero. IMO, this is an interesting matchup. Both of these characters are incredibly powerful. As always, who do you guys think takes it? Imperiex or Silver Surfer? I hope you guys enjoy this fight and I'll see you all next time. PEACE!!!
GuessWhat
You put in some excellent effort explaining the powers of the Silver Surfer. Even though, I like the Silver Surfer, I would have to give this matchup to Imperiex. I think Imperiex's ruthlessness would get Norrin "deleted" because he is timid sometimes and doesn't really show his full powers. Imperiex's ability to induce a big bang would devastate the Surfer and Norrin would just be sitting there contemplating how he couldn't save x, y, and z while Imperiex just keeps ending and staring the universe over and over again.

MDCFAN101
Hello Ladies & Gentlemen, Welcome back to Fantasy Fights 2.0 Today, I have a matchup that would definitely shake the heavens. Today's contestants are: Darkseid, Lord of Apokolips VS. The Might Thor, Thor Odinson LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Darkseid Real Name: Uxas First Appearance: Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen Vol. 1 #134 (December, 1970) Origin & Backstory: Born of the royal family of Apokolips, Uxas is the younger son of Yuga Khan and Heggra. As a young man, Uxas longed to gain the throne of Apokolips but had opposition in his peaceful brother, Drax. Uxas plotted his whole life to supplant his brother and mother (his father having long been lost in the Source Wall). Uxas travelled to New Genesis and met a young man, peaceful and innocent in nature. Seeing potential in him, Uxas released his pet bird, then told the boy that his pet cat had eaten it, convincing him to avenge his pet by burying the cat alive. However, when the bird returned, the cat was already dead, and the boy strangled it in a rage. The boy soon took the name DeSaad and would become Uxas' most trusted adviser, and possibly the closest thing he had to a friend. Finally, Uxas saw his chance when a connection to the Omega Realm was discovered. Drax intended to connect with it and assume his godname, but Uxas interrupted the process and took the power for himself, supposedly killing Drax in the process. When he emerged from the chrysalis that formed around his body, Uxas took the name Darkseid, the most feared of all the god-names of in the ancient Apokoliptian lore-books no one else dared to take, as his god-name. Heggra was quite pleased with Darkseid's ruthlessness, having long detested Drax's pacifism. As part of his plan to eliminate another rival, Darkseid convinced his uncle, General Steppenwolf, to hunt the New Gods of New Genesis for sport. Darkseid accompanied his uncle on his hunt, where he killed Avia, wife of Izaya, the ruler of New Genesis. Izaya, in turn, killed Steppenwolf, but Darkseid soon resurrected him, and a war between Apokolips and New Genesis began. Darkseid became betrothed to Tigra, a woman in line with Heggra's own preferences. Darkseid held no affection for Tigra, but soon met the sorceress Suli, a pacifist who believed that power should be used to help the weak. Darkseid was enchanted with Suli and soon married her, questioning whether to continue with his murderous scheme to gain the throne. Suli, in turn, bore Darkseid a son, Kalibak. Heggra, however, would not let her son be "tainted" as Drax had been, and ordered DeSaad to poison and kill Suli. Soon after, he was arraigned to marry Karreev in order to obtain chemical deposits and plotted to kill her afterward. However, this plan was ruined when a mysterious gray-skinned beast crash landed. It was here that Darkseid first experienced fear as he watched the beast kill his friend Mayhem. He attempts to confront the beast, but the planet has proven to be too unstable and he is forced to depart, not knowing this is not the last time they would meet. Darkseid was soon married to Tigra, who bore him a son, Orion. Darkseid soon learned of Heggra and DeSaad's conspiracy, and gave DeSaad a choice: poison Heggra or face Darkseid's wrath. Desaad complied, and Darkseid assumed the throne of Apokolips, but whatever friendship between them was gone. Soon after, he was given the task of reviewing a dog cavalry soldier named Goodness, who had murdered her superior when ordered to kill her mount Mercy. When brought before Darkseid, Goodness explained that her actions were not out of loyalty: Mercy was too loyal to Darkseid to risk losing, as she had trained the dog to be loyal to her first, but Darkseid foremost. Intrigued, Darkseid ordered Mercy to kill Goodness, who immediately attacked her mistress. After a fierce battle, Goodness finally killed Mercy. Darkseid was so impressed with Mercy's fanaticism that he made Goodness head of Armagetto's orphanages, where the children were indoctrinated to "die for Darkseid". The finest of these warriors were the Female Furies, who served as Darkseid's honor guard. At the same time, the war with New Genesis was going nowhere, when Darkseid encountered the Green Martians and discovered their belief that the "will" represented a "life-equation". Darkseid theorized that there must an "Anti-Life Equation" which negated the will, and sought to buy time to discover it. Darkseid and Izaya reached a truce known as the Pact: Darkseid would receive Izaya's son, while Izaya would receive Orion. As long as each prince stayed on their adopted worlds, the truce would hold. Darkseid remanded the boy to Granny Goodness' care, always knowing that he would one day escape. However, the Pact was a disaster for Darkseid: not only did Scott Free (as Goodness named him) manage to escape, but the leader of the Female Furies, Big Barda, fell in love with him and followed him. Also, Orion took to the ideals of New Genesis and became the greatest warrior of the Fourth World. A prophecy soon arose that Darkseid would die by Orion's hand. Here are his powers, abilities, and equipment: Powers New God Physiology: The beings of Apokolips call themselves Gods and live outside of normal time and space in a realm called the Fourth World. These New Gods have evolved due to their close proximity to the Source, a primeval energy, believed to be one of the ultimate foundations of the Universal Expression of Energy, along with their superior technology, into beings of genetic stability and evolutionary perfection. The denizens of New Genesis are immortal, stronger, faster, and smarter than homo sapiens, despite their resemblance. Vast Superhuman Strength: Darkseid is an extremely powerful alien hailing from planet Apokolips, who possesses colossal super-strength. Darkseid's full strength potential varies depending on the incarnation. Overall, because he is a high-tier cosmic being, Darkseid can easily overpower and kill humans and most galactic beings, he can bend and break through virtually any man-made material, can lift extremely heavy objects, and decimate full-sized buildings and other structures with his might. He possesses enough strength to match beings such as Superman and Wonder Woman in combat. Depending on the incarnation, he could overpower Superman with nothing but brute strength, or vice versa. As a god of New Genesis, he is able to break even the strongest of metals, once breaking a Green Lantern Ring with his bare hands. Darkseid was even strong enough to hold open portals from closing, using only his bare hands. During the Dark Crisis he displayed enough strength to rip Frankenstein in two. Superhuman Speed: Although rarely displayed, Darkseid can react and maneuver faster than the healthiest and strongest human athlete who partakes in daily exercise. However, Darkseid cannot run or move nearly as fast as speeders like Superman or the Flash. In some cases, however, he would often surprise Superman by appearing right behind him. It has been seen that Darkseid can react in microseconds. Even when not at full power, Darkseid was still fast enough to match Zeus' combat speed. During this fight, Wonder Woman stated she had never seen a battle happen at the speed they were fighting at. Superhuman Stamina: Darkseid's tissues don't create fatigue toxins resulting in him having inexhaustible stamina. He can fight non stop for as long as it takes and can outlast any opponent. Darkseid fought against Highfather Izaya for seven days straight, showing only minor signs of fatigue. Invulnerability: Darkseid is extremely resistant to most forms of physical and mental harm. Darkseid's full durability capacity varies depending on the incarnation. Darkseid survived the destruction of a whole planet, and took blows from the mighty Zeus himself without major damage. Overall, because he is a high-tier cosmic being, humans could not even begin to harm him, bullets bounce off him, rockets, bombs and lasers will not even leave a mark on him, and high-voltage energy emissions cannot penetrate through him. He is completely immune to all earthly diseases and viruses. Despite his resistance, other high-tier cosmic beings like Superman or the Martian Manhunter can cause him great distress and pain. Also, materials forged from his home world can hurt him as well. Energy Resistance: Darkseid is highly resistant to most energy based attacks. Even while in a weakened state, he was unfazed by both Cyborg's arm cannon and Azrael's flaming Murasame sword. Healing/Regeneration: Darkseid can heal from every wound, such as being stabbed through the eyes, remarkably fast like the time his eye was injured on Earth 2 during a fight with the heroes of that world, but was fine in the next fight, moments later, having regained use of his dreaded Omega Blasts. The Spectre once reduced Darkseid to ashes only to have the New God return to life. Immortality: As a New God, Darkseid is immortal and has an extended lifespan which allows him to exist indefinitely. He doesn't age, wither, or degrade. He has been reduced to nothing before by the Spectre but it has been shown that he reformed his body shortly thereafter. Immunity to Disease: Like all the New Gods, Darkseid's divine biology allows him to have an immunity to disease. Despotellis couldn't spread the New Gods with a disease due to their immunity. Omega Effect: Darkseid wields a cosmic energy field called "Omega Effect", which proves integral, as it is the core from which his other abilities manifest from. This effect allows him to transverse through time and space, also enabling him to break barriers and force-fields. Omega Beams: Omega Beams: Darkseid's main power. He focuses this power as a form of energy that he fires from his eyes. This effect is not only a relentless attack, but it is capable of teleporting the target to any location Darkseid chooses and recall them later or erase the target from the universe and similarly reform them. Darkseid has pinpoint control over his Omega Beams, and his unerring aim allows it to travel in straight lines or bend, twist or curve around corners. It has been shown that the Omega Beams are ineffective against the bracelets of Wonder Woman, as they were created from the Olympian Aegis. He has claimed that no being had yet withstood the full force of the Omega Beam, but Yuga Khan, Doomsday and Superman nonetheless survived the attack. The beams are also powerful enough to destroy planets and fast enough to catch speedsters. Darkseid has even used his Omega beams to transport others across the multiverse. Molecular Dispersion/Disintegration: He is also able to dissipate and disperse the molecules of an object or organism, effectively erasing them from existence. Avatar Creation: A simple thought allows Darkseid to create liable avatars if when the need arises. These avatars are projected wherever Darkseid chooses, from the true location of his physical form. He has used this ability when it is necessary that his focus is divided, however it is something he prefers not to do, as the avatars are much weaker than Darkseid's true form. Cosmic Awareness: Darkseid can perceive and understand the workings of the universe on a cosmic level. He states he is able to see beyond the known realities. Darkness Manipulation: In his True Form, Darkseid is able to manipulate a powerful dark energy that was capable of killing the entire Quintessence. Dimensional Travel: Darkseid's Omega Effect allows him to transverse through time and space at will, allowing him to cross between dimensions. Boomtube Projection: Darkseid is able to create and project Boomtubes at will, either for his own use or to send others to desired destinations without requiring the use of a Mother Box. Matter Manipulation: Darkseid can transmute and manipulate matter, and in extension atoms, at will; he can destroy humans with a mere thought, and as such, he can even create his own creature complexions by design out of nothing, as he did when he created the being known as Strayne. Also, Darkseid can cause organisms to degrade and de-evolve. Chronokinesis: Darkseid can use the Omega Effect to manipulate and transverse through time at will. He has also used his Omega Beams to send people back through time. Resurrection: He can resurrect people with his Omega Effect. Erosion Blasts: Darkseid is able to project energy from his hands as well as his eyes. To this effect the blasts can sustain damages from eradication to withering in effect, using both aspects to a devastating degree. Necromancy: Darkseid is able to manipulate the dead and the souls of others in various ways. He was able to pull Martin Stein's essence out of the Firestorm Matrix, and was also capable of using his Omega Beams to trap Cyborg's soul into a sphere. Power Distribution: Darkseid could endow his lesser subjects with enormous powers. either granting them new abilities, increasing old ones they already possess or restoring lost powers to others at higher levels. He has done so with Mantis, Dr. Bedlam, Mary Marvel and his son; Kalibak. Power Absorption: Darkseid can absorb the life-force of Old Gods to add to his power and regain strength. He was able to absorb the power of Zeus in order to get back to full strength. He was also able to feed on the energy of Zeus' children to regain power. Size-Alteration: Darkseid can easily manipulate his size, density and mass just by thinking, enabling him to become any size he wants. Telekinesis: Darkseid can mentally influence the movement of objects and people with his mind; he often makes things float with simple gestures of his hand. Telepathy: Darkseid can easily read and access the minds of others. He can also attack or invade someone's mind with images. Mind Control: Darkseid can control the actions, thoughts and speech of others, just by thinking it. In the scope of this ability, he can control and take over millions of individuals at once, indicating the capacity potential his brain can achieve. Psionic Possession: Darkseid's psychic abilities allow him to possess an individual and negate any superhuman abilities they may have. Flight/Levitation: Darkseid can fly at incredible speeds or levitate effortlessly. Abilities Deception Genius Level Intellect: Darkseid possesses intelligence that surpasses even the greatest minds in the universe. With this, he is an excellent strategist and has proven that not only sheer force of strength and power has aided him in battles. Science: He is constantly researching about the Anti-Life Equation. Tactical Analysis: He is a master planner and strategist and his armies are nearly unbeatable under his leadership. Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced): Darkseid is a highly-trained Apokoliptian warrior with literally thousands of years of experience. He has held his own against powerful opponents, such as Superman. His skills in battle are even capable of rivaling his son Orion. He has fought toe-to-toe with the Anti-Monitor, as well as defeated both Zeus and Asmodel in combat. Despite his impressive fighting skills, however, Darkseid rarely resorts to personal combat to defeat his foes. Instead, he uses his servants to defeat his enemies for him. Apparently, Darkseid only fights opponents he deems worthy, such as Superman, Batman or Orion. Intimidation: With his frightening visage and ruthless nature, Darkseid instills fear in friend and foe alike, something he no doubt enjoys. Leadership: Darkseid is recognized as the ultimate authority in Apokolips, inspiring intimidation among his lesser subjects in order to ensure blind obedience through fear of his wrath. Quantum Mechanics Weaponry: Darkseid has displayed skill with various weapons in combat, including a scythe, and a spear. Indomitable Will: Darkseid possesses an extraordinary control over his emotions, despite his reputation of anger and hatred towards all living things. His son Orion lacks such willpower. Equipment Mother Box The Mighty Thor Real Name: Thor Odinson First Appearance: Journey into Mystery Vol. 1 #83 (June, 1962) Origin: Thor is the blood-son of Odin, All-Father of the Asgardians, and Jord, who was also known as Gaea, the earth-goddess who was one of the Elder Gods. Odin claimed that he sought to father a son whose power would derive from both Asgard and Midgard (as the Earth realm is called by Asgardians), and hence he sought to mate with Jord. Odin created a cave in Norway where Jord gave birth to Thor.[56] Months after the infant Thor was weaned, Odin brought him to Asgard to be raised. Odin's wife, the goddess Frigga, acted as Thor's mother from that time onward, and for many years Thor believed her to be his birthmother. Not until many centuries later did Thor learn the purported truth that Jord was his birth mother, though the Phoenix has asserted that Odin had lied about Thor's parentage and that it was his birth mother through Firehair, an ancient human mutant and avatar of the Phoenix Force, claiming that Gaea was a lie to ensure that Thor would dedicate himself to protecting the Earth. In truth, Gaea was Thor's birth mother, with the Phoenix acting as her midwife, but when the newborn Thor was assassinated by King Laufey the Phoenix resurrected him, leaving him permanently imbued with some of her power. As the Asgardian God of Thunder, Thor commands the thunder, the lightning the wind and all the elements of the storm with his hammer Mjolnir, which was forged from the legendary, indestructible Asgardian metal; Uru. Mjolnir gives Thor the power of flight and helps him channel, focus or amplify his own godly elemental powers. Though the hammer is quite heavy by mortal standards, It can only be lifted by those deemed worthy to do so, regardless of the would-be wielder’s physical strength. After centuries of defending Asgard from its enemies, Thor became too proud and grew headstrong. It was because of this that he was banished to Midgard (Earth) by his father to teach him some needed humility. Made mortal and given the form of the handicapped human doctor Donald Blake, Thor learned what it was like to be small and frail and how to be humble and truly noble despite being mortal. When in his mortal guise of Dr. Blake he is able to transform into his true godly form by striking his walking stick (actually Mjolnir in disguise) upon any solid surface causing the transformation that changes him into Thor and his walking stick into his hammer Mjolnir. (In the past, this has now been taken away). Here are his powers, abilities, equipment and weapon: Powers Asgardian/Elder God Hybrid Physiology: Biologically half-Asgardian on his father's side and half-Elder God on his mother's side; Thor possesses a number of superhuman attributes common among the Asgardian and other gods. However, due to his unique birth, some are considerably more developed than those of the vast majority of his race. Thor's skin, muscle, and bone tissues have several times the density of the same tissues in the body of a human being, contributing to his superhuman weight. He is invulnerable to powerful energy blasts, weighted impacts, falls from great heights, explosions and various other opposing forces. Even without his godly power Thor is still physically the strongest and most durable of all the Asgardians. According to his father, Odin, Thor is not at full potential yet but when he is, Thor will be even more powerful than he is. Thor has been stated to be the most powerful being on Earth and one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. He's often stated to be the heavy hitter on the Avengers team alongside his rival the Hulk. Life Force: Also known as the God-Force. The godly energies that fuel all of Thor's godlike powers. Thor's immortal life-force is more powerful than the mystical properties of Mjolnir. Unlike many other deities, Thor's unique Life-force allows him to have full access to all of his powers regardless of what realm he enters. The only beings so far that has been shown to affect Thor's God-force are Odin, Dormammu, and Odin's raven in the form of Marnot. Thor's God-force is also the key to him using the God-blast. Godlike Strength: In addition to being the God of Thunder, Thor is also the Asgardian God of Strength, as such he is physically the strongest of the Asgardian gods and his strength is incalculable. His strength is incalculable in the sense that the upper limit, if one exists, is unknown and there seems to be nearly anything he can't do through applying his strength. His feats include destroying an arch weighing over a million tons, crumbling Uru into dust, lifting the Midgard Serpent, who was large enough to coil around the Earth from head to tail multiple times over and crush it in its grip. Other incredible feats include supporting a weight equivalent to that of 20 planets, destroying Surtur's solar system-sized dimensional portal (by combining his power with that of Beta Ray Bill), pushing the Worldengine, which reversed the Yggdrasil Tree. Thor nearly killed Angrir with a powerful blow, who had defeated the base level Red Hulk (He grows much more powerful from absorbing energy). His clash against Gorr shattered entire worlds. He effortlessly threw a piece of star core at the god-bomb. He also physically held together the fissures of a badly damaged moon, and mended it with his lightning. He has effortlessly snapped adamantium alloy cables by simply flexing. He pushed over the leaning Tower of Pisa with his finger. His punch when met with same force has leveled a countryside and even closed dimensional rifts. He has towed the island hydrobase into New York Harbor. After being damaged in a battle, Thor literally holds up the George Washington Bridge long enough for Damage Control to fix it. Wonder Man conceded Thor as his superior. He has also resisted the gravity of a neutron star. Thor has proven capable of several acts of vast physical strength, including stalemating the Hulk in battle for an hour. He was able to break Silver Surfer's force field with a single blow, knocked out Namor with a single blow (despite Namor being fully hydrated during a rain storm), rendered the Abomination unconscious with a single blow, and has effortlessly defeated the Bi-Beast, Red Hulk, and Gladiator. During the contest of arm wrestling strength, both Thor and Hercules exerted all their godly strength to evenly match one another and generate enough power to knock the entire plant out of orbit. Thor nearly rendered the Juggernaut unconscious after negating his mystical defenses. Even when Thor was holding back, he still overpowered his counterpart from the Ultimate Universe. Thor's strength is so great that he was able to launch Harald Jaekelsson's body into orbit with a single uppercut and sent the Hulk-like Bodolf the Black right through the entire Earth with a single punch. He could also crush entire moons in his fists, and even shatter entire planets with the force of his blows. When he went insane, Thor struck Beta Ray Bill with such force that he destroyed the planet they were on. He has even broken through the armor of a Celestial in one blow. If pressed in battle, Thor is able of entering into a state known as Warrior's Madness, which will temporarily increase his strength tenfold. Invulnerability: Being a god whose heritage is both half-Asgardian and half-Elder God affords Thor virtual invulnerability and immunity to any such human ailments as diseases, toxins, poisons, corrosives, fire, viruses, electrocution, asphyxiation, and he has a immunity to heat and subzero and lead and radiation poisoning. Thor has flown through the heart of stars. He withstood what he thought to be the weight of a score of planets. Thor was able to survive direct multiple blasts from the Asgardian Destroyer. Thor also once took a glancing hit by a Doomsday Bomb that was capable of ravaging an entire planet, and soon after that explosion he fell from space (leaving a crater miles wide) to a planet called Pangoria. He has withstood several blasts from Odin, and even survived blasts from Celestials including their leader, the One Above All. With his powers reduced in half, Thor was able to withstand a blow from the Skurge the Executioner's axe. Thor is truly extremely difficult to kill as his life force is stated to be augmented by his godlike heritage, and Mjolnir. Thor can even survive absolute zero temperatures, and even though he was trapped inside, he showed no discomfort after being rescued by Hulk and immediately resumed battle. Superhuman Speed: Even without the Mjolnir, Thor can move at extreme speeds and easily outrun many speedsters (if not all). Thor can fly to the sun in a matter of minutes. Thor was even able to strike down a moving Quicksilver and has claimed to have fought foes faster than him. He can throw Mjolnir at several times the speed of light and also swing Mjolnir at several times the speed of light while his strength was reduced in half. It has been established that the speed of Thor's hammer transcends both time & space. In addition, Thor can appear anywhere across the Universe or other dimensions in just seconds. Thor could visually detect objects that move at fantastic speeds (this happened when Thor was the target of artillery fire and when he saw the speedy Hermes.) Thor once stated that he was as fast as the lightning he commands. Thor can twirl his cape so fast that he creates a tornado. Superhuman Stamina: Thor's advanced musculature is considerably more efficient than that of a human and most other Asgardians. As a result, his muscles produce practically no fatigue toxins during physical activity compared to those of humans and most other members of his race. He possesses practically inexhaustible stamina. He can exert himself at peak capacity for countless months on end at the very least without tiring at all. Thor was able to fight nonstop, for more than 9 months straight, from day to night, without any sustenance or rest, against the entire Frost Giant's army, without tiring at all. Thor was even able to fight the Sky father Zeus for entire months on end pushing him, from day to night without stopping for anything, and he still did not tire. While in the state of Warrior's Madness, Thor's stamina also increases tenfold. Superhuman Senses: Thor possesses incredible superhuman senses, as he is able to effortlessly see objects as far out as the edge of the Solar System, allow him to track objects traveling faster than light, and hear cries from the other side of the planet. Regenerative Healing Factor: As stated previously, Thor is not invulnerable to all harm and it is possible to injure him. But due to Thor’s unique physiology he is able to heal from most injuries much faster than a human being could. Thor has displayed the ability to regenerate his liver when it was vitrified, and was able to heal his two broken wrists in a matter of hours. This healing factor is said to be much stronger than that of the typical Asgardian Gods. With the use of Mjolnir, Thor can also regenerate his clothes. Also, with Thor using his other powers, he can regenerate missing limbs or organs. However, without the Mjolnir, his other powers or the Odin Force, Thor cannot regenerate lost limbs. Superhuman Agility: Thor's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Superhuman Reflexes: Thor's reflexes are similarly greatly enhanced and are much more superior to the reflexes of the finest human athlete. He possesses "godlike" speed and reflexes as he has stated in the past. He has been able to react fast enough to catch bullets out of mid air, hit beings able to move at speeds faster than light such as the Silver Surfer etc. He has such reflexes that he is capable of reacting to faster than light attacks. Longevity: It is a common misconception that Thor and the other Gods of Asgard are truly immortal. Unlike many other Asgardians, he cannot age by any conventional means. However, Thor and the other members of his race do age but at a rate so slow that to other beings they give the appearance of immortality. Thor has been stated to be thousands of years old which makes his life span incomparable to that of the human beings which he protects. When the Asgardians consume the Golden Apples that are cultivated by the goddess Idunn, they are able to maintain themselves in their physical prime. An exception occurred when Thor temporarily became the Rune King, effectively becoming immortal and improving his powers immensely. Super Breath: Thor can use his breath to create hurricane force winds. Flight: Thor has shown the ability to fly and levitate without his hammer. Self-Sustenance: He is capable of surviving in the vacuum of space unaided and does not need air, food, water, or sleep. Earth Control: After his resurrection, Thor has accepted his heritage as a child of the Elder Goddess Gaea and gained the ability to control the Earth. He has demonstrated this ability by being able to create continental-spanning chasms and earthquakes that are off the Richter Scale in the Earth itself. He can control landslides and avalanches. Transcend Dimensions: When he was trapped in the Tesseract (a pocket universe prison) from the Collector, Thor determined the boundaries of the Tesseract and escaped. Vast Energy Manipulation: hor has stated that he relies on the power of Mjolnir too often. Mjolnir does afford powers and abilities that he would not normally have, but Mjolnir is a tool, and Thor has natural energy manipulation abilities without Mjolnir, in most case, his natural powers surpasses than most Asgardians Gods. He can easily go toe to toe with Zeus’s own extremely powers. During Ragnarok, Thor had seen his family and friends fall to Loki's army and he reached down into himself for strength he never realized before and projected an energy blast so powerful that he knocked out Durok the Demolisher, who was so powerful that Thor, even with Mjolnir, was barely able to hold his own against. He can always projects omni-directional blast. Using Mjolnir he can channel the storm’s energy into blasts so powerful that he can destroy secondary adamantium. Thor can also channel his godly energies through Mjolnir, creating rays powerful enough to kill even immortals. Electrokinesis: Thor usually uses the Mjolnir to channel his storm skills but he is able to discharge the rays from his hands. Likewise, he summoned a ray of heaven without the Mjolnir. Weather Control: hor as the god of thunder was born with the natural ability to control weather since birth. Thor normally relies on Mjölnir to control the weather with devastating degree and release blasts of lightning. Mjolnir allows him better more precise control over his powers and allows him to better regulate his power output, and can act as a shortcut to access his natural powers. This is compared to using his powers without Mjolnir which seemingly require more effort to summon and are more raw and unregulated in their nature. He is able to summon huge storms, rain and lightning from the sky and also creating weather to where there normally isn't any. He has also the ability to create unnatural weather like fire rain on a barren planet. Thor can also discharge lightning bolts from his hands that are lethal and raw in power, also engulfing his hands in lightning to amp his punches. He also summoned a lightning bolt from the sky without Mjolnir to strike Hogun to revive him from near death. He summoned a lightning bolt to strike Hercules (which brutally injured him) to break his grip on him. He once mended together a badly damaged moon with his lightning. Rain Manipulation: Thor can summon rain without the use of Mjolnir. Thor called down rain to bless that land where Kurse fell during Ragnarok. Memory Alteration: Thor calls this the 'Gift of Forgetfulness'. He took away Jane Foster's memories of her being kidnapped by Loki and a reporter's experience in Asgard. All-Tongue: When Thor speaks with the All-Tongue anyone who hears him will hear him speak their native language in their hearts. All-Speak: Thanks to the Allspeak Thor can communicate in all of the languages of the Nine Realms, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages. Telepathy: Even without Mjolnir's power, Thor was able to establish a telepathic link with his father and communicate with him. Thorforce/Odin force: The Odin Force enables him to tap into the practically infinite resources of cosmic and mystical energies of the dimension Asgard exists within, enhancing all of his abilities in turn. The sum total of Odin's power as the king of Asgard plus the power of his brothers Vili and Ve, as well as his own, which made Thor effectively omnipotent. The Odin Force significantly increased Thor's powers as well as giving him greater abilities than his father Odin and the previous Asgardian sky fathers possessed. While only barely tapping into the limitless power of his vast magical power, Thor damaged Captain America's shield by striking it, teleported Asgard into the skies above New York City, contained a nuclear missile's explosion, recreated the moon after it was destroyed in a battle with him and a powerful entity, will Mangog into nothingness, decapitate a Desak-occupied Destroyer by focusing a portion of his power into one Mjolnir hurl, and easily conquer all of Earth, and defeat all of its inhabitants such as the powerful Sorcerer Supreme Dr. Strange etc. According to the Odin Force (which took the shape of Odin), Thor recreating celestial bodies and his other accomplishments during his time on Earth were nothing but minimal compared to the Odin Power's limitless power, and to illustrate its point, it casually creates a pocket Universe. After Mjolnir was damaged in his battle with Bor, Thor sought Stephen Strange to help repair the hammer. Dr. Strange informed Thor that Odin invested his life energies into the hammer's creation and the only way to repair it was to use the same life energy. Thor was willing to sacrifice what little amount of the Odin Force he still possessed but Dr. Strange also informed him that it would require taking 'all' of the Odin Force he possessed and the end result would be Thor at the same power level he was at before he inherited the Odin Force. He also informed Thor that he and the hammer would be bound together so that if Mjolnir was ever destroyed or damaged then Thor would die. Thor accepted the situation and Dr. Strange performed an ancient ritual to siphon the Odin Force from Thor into Mjolnir, making it whole again. After becoming the All-Father of Asgard following the War of the Realms, Thor inherited the power of the All-Father once more, with Odin later sacrificing himself to give Thor access to its full power. Thorsleep: When Thor uses the Thorforce too greatly or too fast he needs to replenish his energies by entering the Thorsleep. There is no definite time frame as to when he has to enter the Thorsleep or how long he has to be in it. Having learned from his father's past experiences of being vulnerable while in the Odinsleep, Thor used a casket made by Odin's metalsmith Falki. The casket contains enchantments that create a state between life and death to reduce the time required for the Thorsleep. Once it has been closed from within, it cannot be broken by any force known to man or gods and can only be opened from the inside. While asleep in the casket in the state between life and death, Thor's mortal persona Donald Blake temporarily separates from him until he awakens again. Cosmic Pyrokinesis: Owing to having been resurrected by the Phoenix as an infant, Thor is capable of generating cosmic flames that he can wield in a manner similar to his usual lightning. Abilities Indomitable Will: Thor has shown to have a powerful force of will, so much so that he has defied the will of his father Odin, who is his king and is bound to serve him, on several occasions if he feels the need to do so. He does not back down from any foe, does not give into a fight and is willing to lay down his own life in defense of others. On occasion, he has demonstrated the will power necessary to overcome mental domination. Master Combatant: Thor is one of the most trained and experienced warriors in all of the Marvel Universe. Since birth, he has been groomed to be Asgard's finest warrior. He has shown proficiency in hand-to-hand combat, aerial combat, swordsmanship, mace wielding, hammer throwing, and wrestling. Being a God of War, he has mastered various fighting styles (historical and modern) from both Asgard and Earth. He is also considered to be as one of the most powerful fighters in history, which occasionally defeat foes who are even more powerful than himself. Even when Thor had been stripped of his powers and made into a mortal, he was able to defeat a bunch of fodder and also save Captain America with his own shield and wield Mjolnir simultaneously. Thor was also able to fistfight with Hercules, but was only shown to be slightly under in terms of skill. Thor often prefers to use brawling-type techniques when fighting beings such as Juggernaut, Gladiator and Abomination. He is also easily one of the greatest and most versatile weapon experts in the Marvel Universe, he is generally seen wielding his hammer but has also shown great prowess using weapons such as an axe, sword, bow and arrow, shields and clubs. Master Tactician: For millennia, he has lead Asgard into battle against overwhelming forces with great leadership and employing effective strategies and tactics. Thor serves as the as the first choice to defend Asgard from it's enemies. He has earned the trust of his fellow Asgardians to follow him into battle. When Odin died after his battle with Surtur, all of Asgard was behind the idea to follow Thor as the new King of Asgard. He has often assisted beings such as Tony Stark as well as Captain America in devising plans of attack while they themselves are known as some of the greatest tacticians. Thor derives his great knowledge of war from Earth as well as the other nine worlds of Asgard. Telepathic Immunity: Thor has the ability to resist the mental influence of powerful beings. He resisted a mind thrust attack of the Rigellians, the magical music of Ares, a mental attack from Glory, Morgana le Fay's attempt to dominate his mind, resisted the power of the Eye of Horus, and the mind blast of the Super-Beast. Some Knowledge of Magic: Thor was able to cast an illusion, after years watching Loki prowess in manipulating magic. Talented Public Speaker: Thor has addressed Asgardian masses, rallied troops and Avengers teammates into battle. He has also married some of his Avengers teammates and given compassionate eulogies. Highly Influential Connections: During his life, Thor has served Asgard as it's Prince, Lord, and King and with these positions he has had access to the wealth of Asgard to pay an Oklahoma land owner for the land he put Asgard on, all the weapons and magical artifacts in Asgard and field command of Asgard's forces in Odin's stead. As a founding member of the Avengers, he has a good reputation among Earth's heroes who would answer his call if needed and he would answer their call in return. He also has good relations with gods from other pantheons. Diplomatic Immunity: After Thor's rebirth, he used Mjolnir to recreate Asgard on Earth in Oklahoma. At this time, Iron Man was head of S.H.I.E.L.D. and confronted Thor about his bringing Asgard in U.S. territory. After Thor beat down Iron Man, Stark suggested that Asgard be treated as a foreign embassy and with it citizens full diplomatic privileges, to which Thor agreed. Gifted Intellect: hor possessed and retains the medical knowledge of Donald Blake, even as Thor. In early years, Blake also possessed scientific knowledge enabling him to build an android with an IQ of 375 and durable enough to withstand the blows from Thor's hammer. Thor's time among Tony Stark and the Avengers also gave him great knowledge of complex Earthly systems of electronics and the ability to modify the systems for his own purposes. However, his scientific skills have not been mentioned later in his career. He is however shown to be an avid reader of books written by other deities when he needs to learn new information. Equipment Megingjord: A magical belt worn by the Thunder God that would double his natural strength and stamina. The belt is fueled by the Odin Force and can also increase the might of Mjolnir. When Odin fed a large amount of Odin Force into it, the belt increased Thor's strength so much that he was able to knockout a powered-up Thanos clone. Weapon The Asgardian Warhammer Mjolnir: Mjolnir is a symbolic weapon of Thor, a hammer forged from Uru metal, whose chief properties are durability, the ability to maintain enchantment, and absorb energies. Mjolnir resembles more of a short handle mallet than a traditional warhammer. Mjolnir itself is already extremely durable, and combined with the various enchantments placed upon it by Odin, is even harder. It has survived heat as extreme as the heart of the Sun, and blasts powerful enough to destroy planets and it has contained energy sufficient enough to destroy an entire Galaxy. Thor often uses the hammer as a physical weapon, with almost nothing being capable of withstanding a hammer blow or throw. It has been described as impacting with sufficient force to "destroy mountains" and has proven capable of shattering the armor of a Celestial, with a rare exception being primary adamantium. Mjolnir also grants Thor countless mystical attributes and powers such as manipulation of the fundamental forces of the universe such as the electromagnetic spectrum, gravity, etc. A few other examples of the countless abilities Thor has shown with Mjolnir are: Worthiness Enchantment: This enchantment surrounding Mjolnir prevents it from being wielded by anyone save those who have been found worthy. Thus far, this includes Thor, the Red Norvell, Beta Ray Bill, and Captain America (Steve Rogers). To anyone else, Mjolnir cannot be lifted from the ground nor wrested from Thor’s grip. Those who are deemed worthy are able to wield Thor's powers. Captain America said "I've never wielded such limitless power before!" It's almost intoxicating!" However, after Nick Fury told him an undisclosed secret, he lost his ability of wielding Mjolnir. After Mjolnir is reforged, Thor became worthy again after recognizing that the struggle to become worthy allowed to become worthy again. Transformation: When Thor was living on Earth under a mortal guise, he could use Mjolnir to transform from his Donald Blake persona into Thor and vice versa. Thor lost this ability when this enchantment was transferred to Beta Ray Bill's hammer, Stormbreaker. Later, Odin permanently separated the two personas. Mystical Link: Mjolnir obeys Thor’s commands as though it were alive, and if Thor’s will is strong enough, the hammer can pass through nearly any barrier to reach him should he so chooses; Mjolnir will even return to Thor while he is in his mortal persona as Jake Olson. Mjolnir can also transform Thor into his civilian guises. When Thor is a civilian, the hammer most often becomes an old wooden cane. While employing a mortal guise, Thor would transform back into his mortal form if he was separated from Mjolnir for more than 60 seconds. Weather Control: Wielding Mjolnir grants Thor the ability to control the base elements of a storm, i.e. rain, wind, thunder, ice, snow, and more. He can create giant raging electrical storms complete with thunder, lightning, hurricane-force winds, tornadoes, blizzards, tidal waves, exploding volcanoes, earthquakes and torrential rains across entire planets at a moment's notice. He can also create any of these phenomena individually. Another aspect of this power allows him to stop any of these weather conditions instantly as well. Thor can create storms on a planetary wide scale or larger if needed, and is not limited to the normal limits of Mother Nature and can go beyond and defy what natural weather can do such as creating rain in space where there is no atmosphere. Thor's ability to control and create storms extends to any and all storms as he has been shown to control and create raging temporal storms in time, create Solar Flares, powerful stellar winds in space and so on. Thor's ability to control the elements and storm are absolute so even a powerful weather manipulator such as Storm was easily overpowered by his ability to control the weather and easily defeated. Thor can also channel the storm's fury, and magnify it into extremely powerful energy blasts capable of destroying objects of high durability, such as Adamantium etc. Flight: Thor is capable of hurling Mjolnir with great force and, by holding onto the leather thong, is capable of flying through the air at tremendous speeds. While in an Earth-like atmosphere, Thor generally flies at Mach 32, and change course in mid-flight. He can hover in mid-air with the winds like Storm. God-Blast: Thor is capable of channeling different amounts of his godly energies in combination with the mystical properties of Mjolnir. These energies can be channeled through his hammer for a single massive energy beam known as the God-Blast which is able to kill even immortals. Thor channeled his godly energies into Mjolnir to destroy the Brain Dome of the mighty Celestial Exitar, the hammer shattered from the amount of power Thor channeled. The God-Blast is so immensely powerful and destructive that it has proven capable of causing such a great degree of damage to a starving Galactus that he was forced to flee for his life. The God-Blast was able to stop the Juggernaut (Cain Marko) while he was in motion and to push him back, letting fall him in a hole. The God-Blast was also shown to be capable of knocking down the skymother Majeston Zelia, who absorbed the Odin-Force. Thor can send the God-Blast to the core of Ego the Living Planet and Alter Ego and render both comatose. Anti-Force: Thor is capable of producing an indescribably powerful blast known as the Anti-Force which is capable of annihilating entire planets. Thor was able to defeat the Mangog by shooting him the Anti-Force, with Mjolnir, inside his mouth. Thermo-Blast: Thor has the ability to produce a universe shaking Thermo-Blast capable of decimating even entire planets and beings as powerful as Ego the Living Planet. Barriers: With Mjolnir, Thor is capable of creating powerful barriers, force fields and vortexes that are impenetrable. These vortexes and barriers are so immensely durable that Thor was able to completely contain the explosion generated by a life bomb, which is so powerful it would have completely destroyed a fifth of the Marvel Universe, without the vortex even faltering, meaning that Thor literally contained a blast that is capable of annihilating millions upon millions of Galaxies. Energy Absorption and Manipulation: Thor is able to use Mjolnir to absorb energy blasts directed towards him as means of attack. Once the energy is absorbed, Thor can redirect it back amplified towards the source. Thor used Mjolnir to absorb the Silver Surfer's Cosmic blasts, Sky-Walker's Cosmic Tempest, radioactive energy, and magnetism such as Magneto's personal magnetic field. Mjolnir has even managed to redirect the energy of the Null Bomb, which was created to destroy all life in the Black Galaxy, the blast of which was shown as powerful enough to reignite a dying sun. It has also absorbed mystical energies, such as Pluto's mystic flame. The hammer was even able to absorb a portion of the mystical energies granted from every god pantheon on Earth. Matter Manipulation: By spinning Mjolnir in a precise manner at cyclotronic speeds, Thor can manipulate matter from a molecular level to a vast scale, which allows him to create other configurations and even allows him to transmute the elements themselves. This ability was evident when he transmuted the Absorbing Man's wood and iron body to the gas helium. Resurrection: While channeling his power through Mjolnir, Thor was able to resurrect a man he had wrongly killed. Alpha Particles: Thor's hammer can harness Alpha Particles from the atmosphere and could use it to atomize any weaponry. Negation of Mystical Energy: He used this ability on the Juggernaut himself to negate the mystical energies that grant him his mystical invulnerability, allowing him to defeat Juggernaut in combat. Cosmic Energy: Mjolnir allows Thor to produce and control Cosmic Energy to an unknown limit for a variety of purposes. Electromagnetic Spectrum Manipulation: Thor was able to absorb and manipulate the electromagnetic energies of the Celestial Mothership. Invisibility and Intangibility: Thor can turn himself or others, using Mjolnir, completely intangible and/or invisible. An offshoot of this ability is that Thor can use Mjolnir to completely disrupt the phasing abilities of super humans such as the Vision, Shadowcat etc. Nether World Power: Thor can use Mjolnir to tap into the power of the Nether Worlds (dark dimensions). Transmigration of Souls: Thor's hammer has the ability to manipulate souls. Life Force Absorption: Thor used this ability on the super villain the Presence, who was forced to surrender to prevent himself from being reduced to a lifeless husk. Illusion Detection: Mjolnir can distinguish images, holograms, and different illusions from reality: Thor once commanded the hammer to strike the demon lord Mephisto, who was hiding among false images of himself. Teleportation: By grasping Mjolnir by the leather thong and rapidly swirling it, Thor can channel energies for the purpose of opening gateways through means of a vortex and in this vortex time has no meaning, which means he and others can pass through it to their destinations instantaneously. He can open gateways which allow him to travel across locations no matter how great the distance within moments or even across entire dimensions, as he does when he travels from Asgard to Earth and vice-versa. Thor has used Mjolnir to rip the fabric of the Universe to send Surtur and Yimir to the Death Dimension and send an entire population to Limbo, Thor can also use Mjolnir to travel through portals anywhere within the same dimension. Battle Breakdown: Oh boy, do I have a good one for you all today. As I said before, this fight would shake the heavens. TBH, whoever wins this fight, it will be a fight that neither one of these legends would ever forget. As always, who do you think takes it, Darkseid or Thor? I hope you guys enjoy this match up and I will see you all next time. PEACE!!!
MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers and newcomers, Welcome to yet another installment of Fantasy Fights 2.0. Boy oh boy do I have a good one for you all today. I've decided to put together a fight between two of the strongest magically empowered powerhouses of all time. I give you: Cain Marko, The Unstoppable Juggernaut VS. He-Man, Defender of Eternia LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Juggernaut Real Name: Cain Marko First Appearance: X-Men Vol. 1 #12 (May 4, 1965) Origin & backstory: Cain Marko is the son of Dr. Kurt Marko, who was an atomic researcher, and Marjorie Marko. Cain's parents separated, and his mother died when he was three. Cain was eventually sent to boarding schools, which he continued to get expelled from. Dr. Marko's wealthy colleague, Dr. Brian Xavier, another atomic researcher, died in an accident, and Dr. Marko eventually married his widow, Sharon Xavier, for her great wealth. On marrying Sharon, Dr. Marko moved into her large Westchester County mansion, and, after yet another expulsion from school, eventually moved Cain in also. Dr. Marko favored his gentle, smart stepson, Charles Xavier, to his own son, which led to Cain bullying the young Charles and Dr. Marko secretly beating Cain. Cain was abusive to his stepbrother at every opportunity. Charles' telepathic powers began emerging when he was still a boy, around ten, and, on one occasion, he found himself experiencing the anguished thoughts and emotions of Cain; after Cain had been beaten by his father. The inexperienced young Charles could not control or end his contact with Cain's mind at this time. Somehow, Cain sensed that Charles was reading his mind and had discovered his secret shame. haron died shortly thereafter, of a broken heart, leaving Charles to live with his stepfather and abusive stepbrother. During an argument in Dr. Marko's private laboratory over money, Cain accused him of having a hand in Dr. Xavier's "accidental" death, at the disaster at Alamogordo. Dr. Marko was quick to be steadfast in defending himself, taking Cain by the collar of his coat and yelling at him to "never say that again". Charles was stationed outside the door, however, and overheard the conversation. When Cain realized, he intended to cause a ruckus, by destroying some of his father's chemical experiments, throwing a vial of green liquid that caused similar containers to shatter, spilling the chemicals throughout the laboratory. The collision of the different substances caused a violent explosion that left the lab aflame. Though Dr. Marko managed to rescue both Cain and Charles from the fire, he himself died of smoke inhalation. In his dying words, Dr. Marko begged forgiveness for not saving Dr. Xavier when he had the chance and telling Charles to keep his powers secret from Cain. Cain was standing over, however, and heard of Charles' gift, which led him to believe that Charles had invaded his thoughts deliberately. From then on, Cain regarded Charles as his enemy. Cain continued to live in the Xavier mansion, growing increasingly resentful of his stepbrother's scholastic and athletic achievements as well as his telepathic powers (which Charles mastered as he grew older), while Charles entered England's Oxford University. Cain even pushed Charles too far one day and the two got into a fight, which Charles easily won. What happened to Marko after he left home was unclear. However, it was known that Cain became a mercenary and was eventually imprisoned in a Third World jail when the revolutionary forces he was fighting for were defeated. Later, Marko and Xavier found themselves serving together in the same U.S. military unit in Korea. Marko deserted under fire and Xavier went after him to bring him back. Xavier followed Marko into a cave, that housed the lost secret Temple of Cyttorak, a powerful mystical entity. Marko impulsively grabbed a glowing ruby from the lap of an idol and read the inscription (which mystically appeared to his mind to be in English): "Whosoever touches this gem shall possess the power of the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. Henceforth, you who read these words shall become forevermore a human juggernaut." As Xavier watched, the gem's mystical power transformed Marko into a larger, superhuman being. Just then, enemy high explosive bombardment caused a cave-in and Marko was buried under several thousand tons of rock. Xavier survived and returned to his unit. Due to the fact that he did not need air or food to survive, Marko, now the Juggernaut, eventually dug himself free with his new-found, immense strength and invulnerability. He then confronted the previous man to hold the mantle of the Juggernaut, the local Jin Taiko. He killed Taiko in order to fully embrace the powers of the Juggernaut, and under the influence of Cyttorak slaughtered Taiko's entire village, since they ceased their worship to him. After many years, Marko made his way to America to use his newfound power to kill Xavier, leaving the gem in Korea. As the Juggernaut, Cain had released his soul to the deity Cyttorak, becoming his human avatar. Here are his powers, abilities, and equipment: Powers Demonic Empowerment: The Crimson Gem of Cyttorak bonds to the user's soul and makes him the Avatar of Cyttorak, an Exemplar, by giving him this new body. He was stated to be a Thor-class threat. According to Prosh, his Comparative Mutagenic Power Register was of 8.9. Limitless Strength: The Juggernaut is listed to possess virtually limitless superhuman strength, being endowed with endless kinetic energy coming from Cyttorak. With this source of power empowering him, Juggernaut can increase his physical strength to immeasurable levels with a simple thought when he needs it. In this sense, Juggernaut has the strength-increasing option due his potential to draw on the limitless power of the mystical energy of Cyttorak, which makes him a truly unstoppable force. Using this strength he was able to knock out the Thing with three blows, Colossus, and even the Merged Hulk (through repeated surprise ambush tactics), and Thor (Thor was in a fragile state). The Juggernaut proved strong enough to match the highly strong Prime in a fight, knocked out several mutants with a thunderclap, and even toppled the Stranger with one punch after he grew to about 50 feet tall. He was able to stalemate a moderately angry World War Hulk, as well as the Mighty Thor (before Cain's bond with Cyttorak was ruptured). Moreover, Cain was able to stalemate a relatively angry Savage Hulk, hurt the powerful King Hyperion while in a weakened state, injure Skaar and gain the advantage before being outsmarted, etc. Also, when empowered greatly by absorbing energies from a magical universe, Cain broke multiple dimensional barriers and could split the space-time whose fissure was expanding through the universe in which he was. Superhuman Speed: Despite juggernauts huge size, his leg muscles allow him to run at superhuman speed, being able to reach speeds of 600 miles per hour, near the speed of sound (Mach's number) and possibly more. Limitless Stamina: Juggernaut's body generates no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting him unlimited stamina in all physical activities. Invulnerability: An invisible force field surrounding Juggernaut's body allows him to be completely immune to any purely physical attack no matter its magnitude or intensity. While Juggernaut can still be thrown, knocked back, or hit by blows, he cannot actually be damage by brute force or physical in nature. In simple terms, Juggernaut cannot be defeated by anything that requires physical application. Juggernaut proved to be invulnerable to fire, heat, cold, electricity, radiation, toxins, aging, disease, molten steel, Hulk's strongest punches, Thor's God-force blast (which caused Galactus to run away for his life on one occasion and broke the prime Celestial’s protective dome), Wolverine's adamantium claws, the maximum force of Cyclops' optic blasts (which is said had enough force to rip a small planet in half), molecular disintegration by a reality warper (Onslaught and D'Spayre boosted with a fraction of Cyttorak’s energy which granted him a nigh-unlimited power), even he could not be destroyed or wiped out from existence by the void of Oblivion or Entropy. Cain can only be harmed by high-level mental attacks, mystical attacks, or weapons with mystical properties. In fact, when the Juggernaut's force field was negated by Mjolnir, he was still durable enough to exchange blows with Thor. Even while weakened, he proved able to withstand a blast from the cosmic entity Stranger. Force-Field: The Juggernaut is capable of generating a personal force field around himself, which greatly enhances his physical durability, to the point that the field was even able to withstand Mjolnir and Thor's god-blast. Thor's attacks were completely ineffective against the Juggernaut, and Thor was explicitly not holding back. Indeed, Wolverine's Adamantium claws proved absolutely unable to hurt the Juggernaut. Energy Absorption and Redirection: The Juggernaut's invulnerability also allows him to absorb energy-based attacks and redirect them at opponents. Immortality: The Juggernaut is immune to aging and has sometimes been depicted or implied to be unkillable under normal means. Self-Sustenance: The Juggernaut is completely self-sustained, he has no need to breathe, eat, or drink. He does not tire, hence he cannot sleep, however his self-generating mystical energies provide him with the nourishment of sleep, nutrition, hydration, and oxygen. He is sustained by his mystical energies alone. He once even kept talking and fighting after being reduced to a skeleton. Contaminant Immunity: The Juggernaut is also immune to all toxins, poisons, and disease. Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite of his invulnerability, it is possible that Juggernaut can be injured. If damaged, Cain possesses a regenerative healing factor that enables him to completely regenerate with superhuman speed. For instance, he has been injured by Shatterstar's sword and healed instantly. The demon being D'Spayre once flayed the Juggernaut down to a skeleton after draining him, and even then, the Juggernaut was able to regenerate all the damage done once he regained his full power. Irresistible Force Embodiment: Once he begins to advance in a certain direction, it is virtually impossible to halt his movement. Some obstacles such as many tons of rocks and plasma-discharge cannons have slowed his pace but can't completely halt him. Thor's use of his god-blast allowed him to stop Juggernaut in his tracks. During a battle with "War Hulk", the mutant Apocalypse increased the Hulk's strength by grafting Celestial tech to him, which allowed Hulk to increase his strength at will, thereby enabling him to stop the Juggernaut. Spider-Man was able to defeat Juggernaut by blinding him and forcing him into a building foundation with newly-poured cement. As a result, Juggernaut sank to the bottom and was unable to move for months. Size Manipulation: It seems like the Juggernaut can increase in size to 80 feet (as seen during the Trion saga), and greatly decrease his size, when battling Nightmare. Levitation: When given enough power by the Gem, the Juggernaut can also levitate above the ground and possibly fly. Abilities As a result of his days in the military and his experiences as a superhuman, the Juggernaut is a formidable hand to hand combatant preferring to use street fighting and brawling techniques that allow him to make full use of his great strength. His weakness to mental attacks was typically nullified by his helmet, but after his latest upgrade, he is now completely immune to psychic assault even without his helmet. Equipment Armor: Juggernaut's armor is indestructible from physical forces (except for his helmet, which serves protect him from telepathy or psionics attacks), and can be summoned at will. If somehow destroyed by a reality warper or cosmic-leveler, Juggernaut can always make a new costume. He-Man Real Name: Prince Adam First Appearance: Masters of the Universe Vol. 1 #1 (January 1, 1981) Origin: He-man is a heroic barbarian superhero who becomes the main defender of Castle Grayskull. His major role also holds a secret identity of a young prince named Prince Adam. He works in secret to become He-man and fight off Skeletor and other evil forces from taking the mystical secrets of the Castle. Here are his powers, abilities and weapon(s): Powers Immense Superhuman Strength: The extent of his strength is unknown, but on one occasion he was able to hoist Castle Grayskull and throw it through an interdimensional portal. He-Man also demonstrated his strength by lifting mountains and icebergs and hurling them toward a desired target. On one occasion, he welded a broken metal chain together simply by pushing the links together. In the episode "She-Demon of Phantos", he was shown to be the only person to break Photanium (claimed by Man-At-Arms to be the strongest metal in the universe). He was shown as being able to go one-on-one with pre-Crisis Superman. He-Man was also shown pushing a moon of Eternia into a specific orbit, and then later returning it to its original position by hand. Super-Speed: He-man has proven to be extremely fast and acrobatic, he has made whirl winds with his speed while running in a circle (proving he can run at least 400 MPH). He has also rubbed sand in his hands so fast he turned it into glass, spun his sword so fast in a circle he was able to generate lift and, thus, fly. Nigh-Invulnerability: He-man is very durable and is nigh-invulnerable. He has been able to withstand intense laser blasts and has also survived massively heavy rocks falling on him without injury. Abilities Wisdom: When Adam is He-Man he possesses uncanny wisdom and is almost always able to outsmart his foes rather than resorting to fighting them. H2H Combat: Prince Adam is a master of hand-to-hand combat and swordsmanship thanks to his close friend, mentor and weapons master Man-At-Arms and his daughter Teela. Weapon Sword of Power: The Sword of Power is He-Man's main weapon, it is a mystical item that grants Adam his powers. The Sword of Power is virtually indestructible, and is often used to reflect laser and magical bolts. It can also shoot out energy beams and absorb energy. Battle Breakdown: Holy smokes ladies and gentlemen. Do you we have an epic battle on our hands or what? Physically, this battle could go on for days, maybe months even. However, I think the slight edge goes to He-Man because of his superior intelligence and combat skills. But, as always, who do you guys think takes this matchup? Is it Juggernaut or He-Man? I hope you guys enjoy this fight. PEACE OUT!!!
MDCFAN101
Hello True Believers, I hope you all had a healthy and excellent Thanksgiving. This next fantasy fight is something I put together not too long ago. While it may not be as appetizing as turkey or ham, I hope it is good enough for your eyes to feast on. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Thanos, the Mad Titan from the Marvel Universe VS. Mister Majestic, the most powerful hero of the Wildstorm Universe LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!! Thanos Real Name: Thanos First Appearance: Iron Man Vol. 1 #55 (October, 1972) Origin and backstory: Thanos was one of the last sons of A'Lars, progenitor of the second colony of Eternals on Titan, and Sui-San, the last survivor of the original settlement of Eternals in this moon. Here are his powers & abilities: Powers Titanian Eternal Physiology: By far the strongest and most powerful Eternal from Titan, Thanos is a superhuman mutant whose massive, heavy-bodied form was born with the capacity to synthesize cosmic energy for certain personal uses. Abilities Super-Genius Intelligence: Possibly Thanos' most dangerous ability is his mind. Mister Majestic Real Name Majestros First Appearance: WildC.A.T.s Vol. 1 #11 (June, 1994) Origin: Lord Majestros was stranded on Earth along with his fellow Kherubim thousands of years ago as a result of a run in with Daemonites in Earth-space. At the time of the crash to Earth, Majestic was a great and powerful warlord and commander of all Kherubim forces on the ship with him. Once on Earth, he devoted his life not only to the battle against the Daemonites, but to the fight against evil in all its forms. Majestros has fought on the side of good for so long that his exploits have been the basis of many myths and legends. He was seen defending Christians from lions at the Roman Colosseum when the WildC.A.T.s went back in time and he was also a member of The Big Three (along with The High and Maximum Man), a team that fought during WW2. Though he's been a hero for thousands of years, he only became a (costumed) superhero in the 40's, and he is best known in the Wildstorm universe for his adventures in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Here are his powers, abilities, equipment and weapons: Powers Kherubim Warlord Physiology: Mr. Majestic is part of a nearly immortal race of warriors known as the Kherubim. Unlike the lesser caste however he is a Kherubim of imperial blood offering a host of cosmic tier physical and mental abilities blessed upon all high lords or his caste. Enlightenment/Drahn Evolution: At a point in his life Majestros had been evolved beyond his limits by the D'rahn, enhancing all of his naturally high abilities tenfold. According to Nemesis, Majestic was officially the most powerful Warlord on Khera. He was also referred to as the most powerful being on Earth. Invulnerability: Majestic's durability is almost equal to Superman's. Majestic has withstood a nuclear bomb and suffered no ill effects afterward. Magic Resistance: Majestros' resilience stems even to mystical affliction. Spells of petrification caste by minions of the arch-mage Tapestry had little to no effect on him. Immeasurable Superhuman Strength: Mr. Majestic possesses virtually immeasurable strength, displayed when he moved planets and moons in Earth's Solar System in various orders by his lonesome, stalemated Helspont (who is in Majestic's strength class), and has crushed graphite into diamonds in order to pay for a meal. He has also moved continents by sheer output of force from his body. Superhuman Reflexes: Majestic possesses nano-second reaction time, as shown in his fight with Spartan Guards. He has also proved capable of viewing particles moving six times faster than the speed of light. He even appears to teleport (even by the eyes of superhumans) due to how fast he can react in combat. Superhuman Agility Enhanced Intellect: Majestros is of a genius level intellect, able to fashion and utilize incredible works of high advanced technological craftsmanship in a matter of seconds. Having once developed a device that could decouple a daemonite metamorph from the halo building at a molecular level in seconds. Superhuman Speed: He once traveled the Milky Way Galaxy in minutes and the universe in less than four months, which puts his speed at several hundred times faster than the speed of light. He also can perceive events in nanosecond time. Self-Sustenance: Majestros can survive unaided in virtually every environment and does not need to eat, sleep or breathe for months to years on end Superhuman Stamina: Majestic is almost unable to tire. Enhanced Senses: Majestros is able to recognize the smell of a parallel universe simply by standing within one, picking up on the subtle differences between dimensions and universes. Superhuman Hearing: he ability to hear any sound at any volume or pitch. Majestic can pick a single voice in an entire city, hear every sound on Earth as it happens, and even hear screams in space, where there is no air for sound waves to travel through (meaning Majestic has a mental telepathy associated with sound). Superhuman Vision X-Ray Vision: The ability to see through any object. Microscopic Vision: Can perceive things happening even on the subatomic level. Telescopic Vision: Can view things happening miles away as it happens. Electromagnetic Spectrum Vision: The ability to perceive the entire electromagnetic spectrum, proven when he was capable of viewing gamma energy contained in a nuclear bomb. Superhuman Sense of Smell Flight: Can hover or fly in any direction via manipulation of gravitons (massless subatomic particles that carry the force of gravity) Super Breath/Freeze Breath: The ability to of enhanced olfactory exhalation, relative to freezing solid objects with his breath or knocking them over with gale force. Majestic was capable of freezing a ship while space with his super breath (meaning his breath had to have been hundreds of times colder than the coldness of space). Even managing to suck up an evil alternate self of his back into his being when he became a cosmic level entity. Energy Projection: Like all Kheran High Lords. Majestic can channel, harness and manipulate vast quantities of raw energy for various effects, mainly projecting it as concussive, heat, or other such forces from his hands and eyes, or using it rewrite complex mechanical programming at will. Energy Vision: Majestros can emit bolts of concussive, incinerative or disintegrating force from his optics. Potent enough to pummel asteroids into dust, change the chemical make up of Jupiter through super-heating and outright disintegrate any target he focuses on. Particle Manipulation: Shown only once in his introduction, Majestic harnessed energy around himself in order to alternate the sub-molecular structure of his clothing. Changing civilian threads to Kherubim High House combat gear in preparation for the upcoming battle. Energy Strike: More creatively, Majestros can enhance his punching and jabbing strength by withholding his dynamic force in his hand, then releasing it on contact with a target. Subatomic Programming: Majestros once displayed that he knows how to manipulate photons and transmit information and data with his eye beams and used this ability to rewrite Eradicator's genetic code (subatomic programming), giving him cross-dimensional awareness. Immortality: Like all Kherubim Mr. Majestic is functionally unageing and long lived. Though he can still die by violence, sickness or other such fatal affliction; he will continue to remain in the prime of his youth. Accelerated Healing: Given time Majestic can heal from grievous wounds provided they are not too extreme, such as healing nerve damage to his neck and spine. Psionics: At some point, Majestic grew into his Kheran Warlord heritage. Coming into possession of some various psychic abilities, similar to the Gen 12 of Team 7, only far more powerful. Telepathy: Mr. Majestic is able to probe and see the memories of other life forms, even being able to see and resist possession by alt. reality Daemonites through his ESP. Telekinesis: He's capable of some mind over matter as well. Using it to levitate stolen money bags as well as animate/bind burglars with some cable remotely. Gadgetry Mechanical Aptitude Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced) Swordsmanship: Majestros is a skilled swordsman, he can easily kill numerous Daemonites in short time and Coda trained Kherubim assassins with little effort. Equipment Molecular Disentangler: Used to detach a shapeshifter's mind from the building it was controlling. Energy Dampeners: Pills that take away his powers in case he needs to work stealthily in places where his power signature would give him away. Planet Movers: Gloves that let him move planets without them being destroyed by their own weight. NanoFlage Suit: Standard Kheran stealth suit that simulates near perfect invisibility Weapons Majestic's Sword Quantum-Folded Blades Creation Engine Blades Kusar Blades Battle Breakdown: All righty folks, we have ourselves a potential epic and intense matchup on our hands. We have one of the Marvel Universe's most dangerous and powerful villains going up against not only a Superman pastiche but also a being that is highly regarded as the most powerful hero of the Wildstorm Universe. IMO, this is going to come down more so to strategy than brute force. But, as always, who do you guys think wins? Thanos or Mister Majestic? I hope you guys enjoy this matchup and I'll see you guys next time. PEACE!!!
