Did you forget all the scams he did with project 7? He took the money and ran. Did you forget the patreon rewards? Didnt apply them. Did you forget the 2k reveal for Jasper? He got the money. I think the main reason why people stopped working with them is because the massive amount of trolls. They're afraid to get trolled for working with DSP. Back in the day when he had a 90+% likes on his videos, everyone wanted to collab with him. FREE1UP and TKK both had a friendly first to 10 and they only had nice things to say about him. As for Project7 the main thing DSP was guilty of is doing business with friends, which you should never do. If DSP hired independent contractors, I'm sure he would've been still friends with them. Guest
In regards to Jasper, the major problem that I see is that people guessed it was a pet, (maybe even a cat, I'd have to rewatch it), but he flat out denied it. If he wanted it to be a "surprise" he should have not said a word, but denying it is pretty bad in my opinion, it wouldn't be in my working ethics. The Patreon rewards I have not looked at, but I know Phil considers them things creators do as appreciation, not as a direct products/services given for their purchase. I don't agree with this either, but I'd have to re-read Patreon TOS to be sure.

Cappuccino
Lets be real here. Putting a 2k$ goal for a reveal that would be “positive to the stream” and turns out to be just a cat is a shitty move. He also said that taking care of jasper would not affect his financials since its just one cat. Now hes using jaspers food as excuse for his begging too. I forgot to put that in my post as well, in my opinion if you're in a bad financial situation you just don't get a pet, (like a cat), you'd at least wait until you overcome whatever the problem is. It's unnecessary expenditures when you mention that you're having troubles with groceries, (the times that he did). Luckily he has a wife that is living in their home, and hopefully loves him, so it's not like he's alone.

Cost definitely adds up from liter, food, toys, and later in life, vet fees and medication. I've had a cat and we have spent thousands on vet fees during her lifetime and she died last year from lung cancer. Just hoping he won't want to have a child because that is way WAY more than cat expenses especially daycare. If he does he should definitely get his finances sorted out first. As for $2k paywall, that's not necessary true. It was $1k for the reveal and some generous person donated $1k after.

It’s the same deal with about anything “positive” he does with his streams…it’s just him building up something totally lame and boring. Todays a good example…it’s literally Thanksgiving…and he’s falling over himself trying to pump up Xmas notifications. He’s a 40 year old rock at this point. Do you know what's he doing now? What type of goals? He hasn't been playing games that I'm interested in. Not even close.

Yea, his choice of games is just pure laziness at this point. One stream was him just going through the Xbox Game Pass. Another Restrospective? All the interesting stuff has already been nominated, and he has skipped a bunch of videos for some reason. The amount of things he could do, waste of opportunity. JidozeKichimonimi1
Ironic that he hates react videos yet will do retrospectives on his past stuff that lasts hours.
JidozeKichimonimi1
Well his reasoning is that it's lazy and low effort content just to earn donations, which is what the retrospectives are regardless of what he reacts to. Guest
Seems like one can poke holes in Phil's reasoning, so it'd be great if he was here to defend his ideas in an open conversation, (without locking threads). I think he distinguishes between constant reaction to other people's content, and your own for the purpose of "reminiscing". One is the leech that feeds on other people's creativity, the other is experiencing good old times with his fans, together and not frequently. (1) I'm not saying that it's a good argument, it's what I feel he thinks. (1): X: But Phil, you have done this event for quite a while now, to the point where Sub-goals almost always default to Retrospectives! It's also lazy content regardless. Phil: Yeah, because after providing free online content for OVER 10 YEARS and reacting to it once in a while is the same as what these people do. [Laugh] This is what I mean man, people are stupid..... 10 YEARS of on demand content and having a nice little event where we talk watching my OWN gameplay is considered lazy, OK stupid. Yeah exactly, Randomname! They're rebroadcasting series and sometimes ENTIRE movies while knowing that they're breaking the law, that's COMPLETELY different from reacting to your own playthroughs every now and then, has nothing to do with it... Alright... [sips]. [Long pause, while focused in chat. Suddenly, he looks at the camera with his eyes wide open & quick hand gestures‼] See- OK. Here's the truth of the matter. I firmly believe that once you pick the controller in a game you're creating transformative content. What you do with the character is unique, and the commentary you provide centered around it comes from your OWN creativity, the game does not play itself.... ILLEGALLY broadcasting entire sections of copyrighted content is FAR from this! But that's what these people don't understand... [laughs]. That scenario is a little bit of a joke, @Phil can come here and provide his argument. Edited January 13, 2022 by MoraMoria
JidozeKichimonimi1
One "double down" that phil does often is that he will insult the audience, his viewers if he gets low tips. He should just cut his losses, and hope for a better stream next time. I saw a clip where he called a viewer a bitch because the viewer asked him to stop guilt tripping.
